"Okay." He replied, glad that Calibe at least seemed to balue him this much. He knew Calibe had the ability to make him happy again, too. That was certainly a big relief, after all.

Cielen ignored Tal walking by, staring instead at Calentze, his expression downtrodden. What? He was still joking? The Unicorn stared at his husband in disbelief, extremely tempted to land a smack on his cheek.
"Do you think it's so funny?!" He cried, not truly giving himself time for rhyme or reason to realize this was completely and utterly out of character for Calentze. Just because the other was never affectionate and Cielen complained about it all the time... That didn't mean he should start poking fun at his own lack of affection.
Cielen stared at Calentze, his lips twisting as he struggled with the situation at hand. "I don't think it's funny that you can never show that you care about me." He spoke, his voice suddenly sounding extremely drained and quiet.

Talon listened in, snickering like mad, fighting to keep from rolling on the ground and splitting his sides with laughter. His mother was right about the joke, but it wasn't one that Calentze was willingly carrying out. That was the part his mother was quite wrong about. The spell would last the night, the Alicorn was sure. Now he just got to sit in and listen. At least his father would convince his mother at some point, he was sure.
Cielen had always wanted to be together with someone utterly affectionate and caring. Now was his chance; Tal was sure he'd eventually snatch it. "And you haven't seen anything yet if you hit me again, Cal-y-poo." He whispered maliciously in passing to the Dark Pegasus.
