EQUIPPING WEAPONS AND ARMOR
------------------------------>>>
Equipment options on Battle Saga Online are simple:
WEAPON - Your equipped weapon. Weapons influence the amount of damage a character inflicts in battle. The weapon layout is as follows:
-----
Longsword
DMG: 4-12 <-This is the Damage Range. This influences and limits how much damage you inflict in battle. Weapons with compact damage ranges are better than weapons with wide damage ranges.
ARMOR - Your equipped armor. Armor influences the amount of damage you take in battle. The Armor layout is as follows:
-----
Bronze Armor
DEF+1 <-This is the Armor Boost. For every point on your Armor Boost, one point will be added to your defense.
ACCESSORY (x2) - Your equipped accessories. Accessories come in a wide variety and have many different effects. A character is allowed to equip two accessories at a time. The accessory layout is as follows:
-----
MOON PENDANT
Poison Resist+1 <-This is the Accessory Effect. Accessories have various effects to them. Experiment with different Accessory Effects to find a pair of accessories that work best for your character.

THE BATTLE SYSTEM
---------------------->>>
Battle Saga Online has a somewhat unique battle system. It's kind of hard to understand at first, but read these rules and you'll be thrashing away at enemy monsters in no time at all.
---ATTACKING---
When your character attacks, the damage he/she inflicts on the opponent will be influenced by your ATK stat. For example, a player with 5 ATK will do 5 damage in battle.
To attack, select the "Random Number" command under "Actions" on your Gaia Postbar. After the number range appears, type in the range of your equipped weapon and post some dramatic roleplaying attack scene or whatever the hell you want. For certain abilities, a Dice Roll is needed. Merely follow the directions on your ability's description.
Your ATK is also influenced by your weapons and accessories. Your weapon's Damage Range is the standard amount of damage you can do in battle. In Damage Ranges, two numbers are selected: a minimum and a maximum. These two numbers limit how much damage your character will inflict. For example, a weapon with a Damage Range of 9-14 will do a minimum damage of 9 and a maximum damage of 14.
WARNING!!!
Your accuracy depends on the amount of damage you inflict. If your character attacks and deals either the minimum or the maximum damage he/she can do, the attack will miss.
The damage you do in battle will be added as typed below:
ATTACK!!!
Weapon: Knight's Blade (Damage Range: 11-20)
Core ATK: 4
The Random Number Command enters a 17.
Add on your 4 ATK points to that number, dealing a total of 21 Damage Points. It's that simple!
---DEFENDING---
When your character defends, the damage he/she takes from the opponent will be influenced by your DEF stat. For example, a player with 3 DEF will take 3 less damage in battle than he/she normally would.
To defend, simply post "Defending" on your character's turn. Your character will then brace him/herself for an upcoming attack.
WARNING!!!
Defending from an attack will cost you your turn. Use it wisely!
Your DEF is also influenced by your armor and accessories. Your armor's Defense Boost adds on to the standard amount of damage you will take in battle. In Defense Boosting, any extra DEF points from your armor or accessories will be added to your base DEF stat. This will determine your core Defense.
DEFEND!!!
Armor: Stone Golem Armor (DEF+4, SPD-4)
Core DEF: 6
The opponent attacks and deals 28 Damage Points.
Add on your armor's 4 DEF points to your core defense, making your character take a total 18 Damage Points.
------------------
The BSO battle system is listed below as a scenario example.
-BATTLE SCENARIO-
-Monster A attacks. Monster A is a Red Imp with 30 HP, 7 Attack Points, 1 Defense Point and 5 Speed Points.
-The player is a Level 6 Gunner. The Gunner has 23 HP, 6 Attack Points, 4 Defense Points and 8 Speed Points.
-Comparing Speed Points among them, the Gunner will go first, and the Red Imp will go second.
-The Gunner attacks. Using his weapon, a Box Shot with an Attack Range of 5-19, uses the Random Number command and scores a total of 11 Damage Points. With his 6 Attack Points being added to the Damage total, the Gunner does a total 17 damage to the Red Imp. With a Defense of 1, a single Damage Point is subtracted from the total, thus depleting it's HP to 14.
-The Red Imp attacks the Gunner with it's 7 Attack Points. With a Defense of 4, the Gunner takes only 3 points of damage, reducing his HP to 20.
-The Gunner attacks with the Random Number command again, this time scoring 17 Damage Points (after applying defense), thus killing the Red Imp.
