I like it alot... but soo far I do not know the motive of finding this guy other than getting Roberts pokemon back. Is there something bigger happening? Like a Planned cult or even a genocide?

I kinda know what's happening but not really I did a lot of back reading The Plot so far here or maybe wait for toasty to fill you in because i'm still catching up on plot reading >_<.

The announcement in this sub-forum is easier to access, called the plot so far.
Edit: And there is something bigger planned, everyone going to kind of find out soon in this next encounter.

And all I know is this is quite alot to go through just to get my first wild pokemon back >.> So far I've had to adopt and breed just to have something of a pokemon team.

I'm sorry sweatdrop when I started in the plains, at first I didn't mean to have it evolve into the bigger guild plot, but it got to be the perfect introduction, I'll see if I can twist a wild pokemon in here for you to catch soon.
Edit: I updated the what's happened so far with a brief summary of what happened in the plot in the area.

LoL...
I was think of Scyther or Tauros but I didn't want to such a normal pokemon. A Ghost? Not many trainers have them!
I'm jk... I know I can't send out pokemon! xd
