Demographically Generation X in Iran is the equivalent of the Boomers over here. Some very clever people have been expecting a large scale protest movement in Iran for sometime as X and Y are statistically way more socially liberal than the government and the older folks. I genuinely hope that the election protests are the first wave of something big and overwhelming. I keep hoping this won't be another Tienanmen Square. (Younger readers, look it up).
