Daniel was tearing across the planes, a freshly hunted antelope across his shirtless back, saving the cloth of the blood stains. He didn't want to leave his mate alone too long, with her belly as swollen as it was, but the hunt was necessary. When he had scaled the narrow path up the cliff, he nearly skidded to a stop at the mouth of the cave. "I'm back!" he gasped through heaving breaths, letting the carcass fall from his back to the stone floor.

Umicho lay on her side in the den, her belly big from the soon to be born cubs inside. Having an even bigger family brought her so much joy. Though it was never fun to have to stay on her side the majority of the time. When her mate rushed to the entrance, a bright smile formed. "Welcome back love."

It took Daniel another moment or two of heaving breaths to be able ot speak again, though he grinned at his mate's greeting. "Good to see I didn't miss the cubs," he finally managed out with a goofy grin as he started to slice a piece from the carcass for her. "Hungry?"

The way he had rushed so quickly to get back home left him looking wild. It caused Umicho to smile a bit more. As he spoke, she shifted a bit to relieve a cramp in one leg. "A little yes."
The glow about her was growing each day. A glow that appears when a lioness is about to give birth. Though it was still up in the air when the cubs would get there. "You should rest though."
