How often to we teach people things? How often do we learn something with the knowledge we will teach others?
I teach lots of things. But the latest was me teaching a 12-year-old how to take a cloth and buff paint onto chess pieces.
We got 2 chess sets so we wanted the kids to be able to tell both apart. I gave him some paper towels and some copper metalic acrylic paint. I showed him how to put the paint on the paper towel and swipe it over the surface, leaving the crevaces either black or white. The white chess peices came out okay but the black came out looking really nice.
I also gave the little ones some super sculpy to play with. They watched me make a kitsune pin and pendant. Then they made their own little stuff.
