Oki, well I've looked at many guides to vending and I understand a few key points on it, such as "In order to make money you need money" and "Buy low sell high" and of course "There's no easy way of vending". I understand all these points and a few others but I fail to see how people seem to be able to accumulate so much gold with this meathod so fast. I know a few people who have lost they accounts and had to start over, and were able to earn back like 2mil in 2 months without the assitance of gaia cash. I have no idea how they do it, I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong.
I've herd people say, "Try vending with tickets." This I find very hard to belive since tickets are worth only 2 gold each at best and not only that but buying tickets in the MP is chaotic in my opinion. So I fail to comprehend how someone can make so much gold doing that alone.
Just recently I bought "Holy gauntlets" (I started with 23k) for 13k and I'm trying to sell them for 14.9k (Which was the next lowest price). Well since then I have like 9 people infront of my sale, selling them for cheaper. Now with that happening, how am I supposed to make gold quickly? I can't really buy anything else that's worth less then what it normally is because I'm waiting for the gauntlets to be bought. Am I supposed to be buying things in the forums and not the MP? Should I be waiting till I have more pure gold before I start vending? How long should vending an item normally take? Any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated. 3nodding

It would be easier to vend if you had more pure or you can start out with cheaper items (inks, tickets, kiki slippers etc.). As for vending tickets, I personally only buy them when they're lower than 1.8g each. Once I've accumulated a few thousand I exchange them for an item (something like Long Drag) and sell the item.
I think you should get a feel of the prices first since they go up and down a lot in a day. If you know in general how much it sells for (charts and tektek are useful too), when people list items for lower than yours, you can easily decide whether you want to wait it out or lower your price as well. As for how long you'll have to wait for an item to sell, it really depends on the item... It could take a few seconds to a few hours (for fast moving items) and sometimes days for slow moving ones. For now I think you should stick to fast moving items since you wouldn't want your pure to get tied up. Charts are helpful for this. Try to aim for items that get bought at least 50 times or higher in a day.

I use small items when I'm vending, no matter my gold count. I'm not great at it so I try and make my losses small.
I find that its easier at night for me to find good deals, I guess that's when people make more mistakes or something......
I also look to get deals in the exchange, and then sell in the mp.

Good knowledgable vendors are the ones who made mistakes, didn't quit, but learned from them.
The graphs added to the MP are worth the 2% tax. Study the graphs for the items you wish to vend in. If you make an error and bought too high you have several options.
Continue to try selling it.
Cut your losses and lower the price to 1g lower than the lowest price.
Drop it off the MP to sell later.
It is a trial by error process of learning.
