The Forest, filled with thick trees whose height is half a mountains and width is nearly as think as a hut a person would live in. The clearings are few but if any they are large enough to fit many dragons within and a large town or city within.

Card lived in a large cavern underground where he prefered to stay. He hardly ever came out except to hunt or to get a drink. He couldn't really call himself an exile from his clan, they never really wanted him to leave anyway. But he didn't much care about taking on the responsiblities of the clan, so he moved off. He thought they would force him to stay, but they didn't, wouldn't have mattered anyway. Then one day he saw a member of the clan fly overhead, that member saw him and flew down to greet a familiar. The scout had told him that the clan was moving from the volcano lands to another island. He didn't care why, and didn't ask, but he was told anyway. "Hmph." He had seen the scout on his way and hoped that the scout would not report the sighting of him, nor his home. But what would it matter? If they moved somewhere else, he hoped it was nowhere near himself!

Aethyr sat high up in a tree, perched on one of the thick branches facing out over the lake. She looked over as a small bird, one of the flying creatures that taught her to fly, landed next to her and tilted its head to the side and chirped some notes. Aethyr listened and nodded, but frowned as she looked out over the waters. "I do not wish to leave though." She sighed in resignation then turned to her friend, "But I must." The bird nodded its little head, he to wished her to stay, and wished to go with her, but he had a family and could not. He chirped his best wishes to her, then flew up to her shoulder and rubbed his head against her cheek, bading her farewell, then floated back down to the branch. Aethyr sighed then hopped down the tree and landed swiftly on the ground. She took one last look around the place of which she grew up. None of the creatures came to bade her farewell, they did not want her to go, but knew that she must. And she understood and was glad that they did not come out, it was hard to say goodbye. She turned and made her way to the waters' edge and onto a small boat and pushed away from shore. Her destination, the other side of the lake.

Aethyr reached the other side of the lake and looked up at the mountains in the distance. She wanted to look back to have one last look of the home she was leaving, but she dared not. Instead she looked onwards and continued walking in the direction of the mountains.
