Jurie didn't have time to think, didn't have time to worry about what was coming or how to react. She could only let the muscles in her body let loose and do what comes naturally, her instinct rolling over her every inch as the motions flowed like clockwork. She felt that charge strumming down her fingertips, reinforcing the offensive working of her right tonfa to make it five times its normal potential, sharpened splinters making the weapon seem brittle and hardened, easy to break. All the same... that marvelous glow stretched through every ounce of that weapon, ready to burst with the marvelous shimmer rolling down its surface.

As Spyke pulled her in he'd feel little resistance. In fact... she wasn't even going to fight back at all. Instead she would use his pull to push her closer and even faster than he'd likely anticipate, releasing the grip on her left tonfa to grasp his own wrist as she pulled herself in, guiding that right arm straight into his chin at a blinding speed. After all, we're talking about a pull from Spyke, a push from Jurie, and a thrust punch from her right all rolled into one massive blow to the jaw. That paired with the power flowing through the tonfa just rang trouble for the man no matter how it connected.

A broken jaw paired with a very likely knockout or something worse, she couldn't really say. But were Spyke able to keep up with that sort of speed and react the way he planned he'd land his punch, true as ever. A few cracks would throughout her body as those ribs gave way to a sharp pain which came coursing through her right side, a rib or two snapping at the blow as she let out a loud urk from the pressure building her her torso. Were she not in the middle of her own connection, adrenaline coursing ever so fast through that body she'd have a bit of trouble moving for a second or so, but with all the excitement rolling into the moment there was no way she'd be feeling that one too badly until she calmed down a bit.

Bones breaking, pain and roars of battle snapping to and fro, who couldn't appreciate the beating the two were dishing out? A few winces would ring out, cheers would ring through, and all was starting to really heat up down on the stadium floor.

Spyke knew only a few very important details at the moment he'd launched his attack. First was he couldn't breathe. Second that there was literally no resistance to his pull or his faltering steps and thirdly he'd anticipated a counter-strike. No one of Jurie's capabilities would go silently into the night so to speak. As much as Spyke wished she would with that powerful weapon homing in on his face she wouldn't which was why he'd planned for an attack.

Jurie was shorter than Spyke by only slightly less than half a foot. This meant her attack was aimed up to a certain degree. Also meaning Spyke's punch was aimed down to a degree. In order for maximum strength to be put forth a punch must be as straight as possible and have body weight behind it. At least in Spyke's experience. That is exactly what Spyke aimed for. He'd started his punch standing upright using his arm strength to pull Jurie into the attack. Spyke would pivot forward throwing his body weight into his swing while also bending his knees and dropping that half a foot or so. The tonfa added distance to Jurie's reach. Even using the shorter end the shot to Spyke's face would be awkward and best.

There was something Jurie probably didn't know about Spyke at this point. That being he could control a great many energies and even though he was not at the moment doing so he could feel the power in her tonfa from the moment of its conception. He'd never needed to actually see the thing to know where it was and he even knew how it was positioned. So when she thrust it forward in a straight line he'd known not only where his head shouldn't have been but also if she'd be able to attack with the weapon before she started to attack. To her credit though he did feel the tip of the tonfa glance of the side of his head towards the back. Full force avoided without question but a weapon that strong moving at that speed....well Spyke would indeed have a serious headache or a concussion even from a glancing blow.

Having felt the oh so familiar sensation of his attack connecting. Spyke would let go of Jurie's wrist. Assuming the attack did what it should she would probably also let go and if she did not her grip, theoretically, would weaken enough that the knock back effect of the punch should shake her loose. Of course that was just theory. Spyke himself had defied theory only moments before. Of course that wasn't important to Spyke at that point. His breathing was coming in as gasps at best, his head throbbed terribly and his stomach cried out in pain. All dulled by the adrenaline of course but seriously, a man could only take so much.

Spyke would, if he had indeed been released, stumble back a couple yards and try to focus his mind as much as possible in order to regain control of his breathing. The pain would just have to be dealt with. However, were he not released he'd go no where and instead......well the hell could he do? He hadn't planned that far ahead.

Jurie would, herself, indeed let go. The blow to her chest was potent enough to snap a few ribs and even though the adrenaline of the moment was enough to carry her blow in towards the man's head she knew she needed to recoup herself.

She chose not to capitalize, her sense of sportsmanship and fair play keeping her from striking a crippled opponent. A soft expression dawned upon her face, a surge of sympathy coursing throughout her motions as she stumbled back to retrieve her fallen tonfa. Her lips curved upward into a faint smile as her hand pressed across the point of impact, gripping her weapon ever so lightly as she took a step back, thrusting her free arm into the air as she let out a powerful cheer to her opponent.

"We are not done yet, my friend! We have only yet began! So do not stumble, do not tremble, do not let the weight bare down! I stand ready to meet you and the crowd cheers on for both our weights to fall!" Her smile turned into a broad grin, her energy coursing down her right to double down on those defenses. "I am here for you, and we gather to further understand our limits. To us, here upon the floor of the fight, we are not but the black sheep who come to understand one another at the soul source in which is our blood, our life, our very existence holds so dear. So don't back down, don't you quit! We have our life, our virtue, and our battle to unfurl yet."

She'd force herself to ebb away the pain as she got back in her ready stance, sure that the speech alone would give Spyke enough valor and steel to carry the fight on. She didn't care about the win, didn't care about this tourney. All she wanted out of this whole thing was to see how people could grow, to see what sort of limits she could push herself to and to understand just what it was that made this man who he was today.

And what better way than to meet him fist to fist, blow to blow?

The crowd would roar with a new found excitement, knowing full well that the fight would last on further yet. Knowing that neither of the fighters were ready to back down and that neither were ready to throw in the towel just yet. Spyke... Jurie... both had cheers edging them on like an endless symphony of excitement and joy.

And Jurie could only smile at all of this as it continued to play on.

Spyke had stumbled back several yards and unexpectedly fallen to one knee. The lack of oxygen mixed with the glancing blow to his head left the edges of his vision darkened. Indeed the damage had compounded to the point that it threatened to black him out. He could see Jurie but somehow she didn't register as she should have in his mind. Something in Spyke's mind tugged at his being at that point. He focused his physical energies to the best of his ability and slowly retook the ground he'd lost. Not too long after his lungs began working again and though the first several breathes were long and ragged he regained control of his person.

Unfortunately he missed about half of Jurie's speech but he caught enough to understand what was going on. For dramatic effect he nodded yes to Jurie and as a show for the crowd pretended difficulty in retaking his standing position, which was mostly unfaked. The crowd roared at this obvious display of sportsmanship from Jurie and the thought of a continued opportunity to watch this beauty knock Spyke around must have been a definite bonus to several up there. Spyke bowed to Jurie and then responded in kind.

"Madam nothing would please me more than to continue. I do hope we can make it more exciting yet. Now then in the interest of time, as our bout draws ever closer to ending, let us continue."

Spyke walked forward at an even pace in order to allow Jurie to respond or at least prepare to continue if she had not yet made it that far. When he was but five feet from her he would smile and drop into the same stance he'd started the match with.

"Whenever you are ready Ms. Arks."

She smiled greatly at seeing Spyke stand tall and proud, ready to meet her head-on in a display of sportsmanship and honor. Trying her best ignore the pain racking at her chest, her arms tugged down a bit as she got back into her ready stance, feet ready to shuffle in at a moment's notice. It would be noted, however, that as her right guard came down she would wince for a slight moment, that slight pressure causing a good bit of pain to shoot through her chest for but a split second before carrying on.

"Then let our fists do the talking in the words that only we can understand."

Another charge rang through her right, steeling over the defensive properties of her tonfa as the once fragile frame seemed to mend over completely, the energies of the weapon holding firmly together as the cracks seemed to dissipate completely. The shine would shimmer ever dimmer, but the potency of the power was still as great as ever.

Body facing towards her opponent, arms up around the neck in guard, and but a slight shuffle in to initiate combat once more, Jurie would take a simple swing from her left, sending the weapon into a spin as it came barreling towards the man's front guard, the long end of the weapon aiming to smash into the wrist in attempt to weaken him down.

Her weight was ready to shift to or away from the man at a moment's notice, and all she would simply do beyond this is keep her eyes trained upon Spyke's every move to determine which way he'd come and how he'd react.

Spyke being damaged as he was would initially dodge the attack. He knew how much those tonfa could hurt and as it stood the only reason he wasn't dead or unconscious was due to some luck and will power. Which is why Spyke decided to move to the next level. The orbs placed in various locations around his body were glowing brightly now. Although to the outsider looking in it would appear that they were literally full of blood. As the energy began to move it appeared that the orbs surfaces had broken and blood was literally running out freely overtaking various parts of Spyke's body. Literally in mere moments the 'blood' would have overtaken all the body parts they were attached to and created a thick layer of 'blood' that would harden over and turn black. Ever so quickly a shape formed and at the end of it all Spyke had taken on the visage of a werewolf.

The armor indeed made the wearer appear to be a werewolf. The helmet created in a growling motif with bright white fangs and golden eyes. Spyke's exposed fingers and toes had become claws and it would be noted by Jurie, as she is a blacksmith, that the armor was very sturdy and magical in make. It would also be noted that the armor gave off an aura of darkness and foreboding. A stark contrast to Spyke's personal demeanor. Now armored with greaves, gauntlets, and a helmet Spyke was ready to continue. His eyes could still be scene through the eyes of the werewolf and indeed did give off a very different aura than the armor did.

"I do believe you are correct Ms. Arks. We shall allow our fists to do the talking."

Spyke would ball his hands into fists in order to eliminate any chance of cutting Jurie with his claws. His purpose in using the armor only covered defense against her weapons. The offensive aspects would most probably be foregone for the remaining duration of the match. Even so his fists now armored would pack a worse punch. So Spyke expected Jurie to be on her guard when he moved forward, despite the cries of agony and protest from his damaged body, and feinted a left punch to her face. In reality Spyke pulled a right hook towards her shoulder. He kept his weight evenly distributed and would be watching for the counter-attack. Well more like felt out the counter-attack his eyes were pinned on hers for the time being but he could skill feel the tonfa.

The appearance of the armor would cause Jurie to back up and reassess the situation, a wave of shock rolling over her as she didn't recognize the glowing gems nor would she have thought they were capable of this display. Needless to say this was going to put her away from the opponent's feint/blow, and probably keep him from even making it in the first place since the sort of transformation would, itself, take a moment. But after a moment of backing up the blacksmith would do something perhaps a little strange.

She'd wedge those tonfas into the back of her pants between the belt and the actual cloth, then retrieving her hands she would unclasp the latches holding her hammers in place.

That's right... the blacksmith was switching weapons on him.

Placing her grip somewhere around the middle of the hammers the blacksmith was ready for another round, her eyes shifting around the man's body to look for potential openings. And of course she couldn't help but to gawk at the craftsmanship of the armor itself.

A magnificent piece she'd like to study sometime.

But such was saved for better times. She'd keep those hammers to her sides, the tools seeming to brim with spiritual energy as well. This energy though, was much different from that of the tonfa. It was a source that seemed to well within itself rather than from the user. Regardless the weapons could be sensed as well, an aspect that Jurie likely wouldn't catch on to until he decided to reveal it.

A charge would build up within the hammer in her right hand and an energy began to mass within the tool. Although the manifestation was nowhere near a physical level it was very possible to sense. For now the blacksmith would bide her time with that as she awaited her opponent's next move.

Cryovix would no doubt notice the shock that seemed to have stunned Jurie enough to cause her to back up a few paces. Whether it was for concern due to what this armor made him look like or whether it was just because the armor had merely come to be he'd probably never know. It was a shame to be in the heat of battle and unable to talk to the beautiful young warrior her thoughts would make the expression she wore momentarily more understandable. Spyke who happened to be genuinely concerned about her sudden action would be surprised himself as she switched out her weapons. Once again he could sense them. That didn't tell him much beyond the fact that he knew where they were and that they were there though. Since the fight continued on Spyke wouldn't take the time to analyze the hammers energies and realized that they seemed to create their own.

In an attempt to show her he was still there, in the off chance she'd forgotten, Spyke would open his left hand showing off his armored fingers and claws. He would then cross his body with his right hand and and bow. Although the wicked nature of the armor probably ruined the intended purpose and possibly made Spyke seem more menacing than he might already appear, he hoped that it would be reassuring. Reassuring of what he didn't even seem to know, but reassuring nonetheless. Upon righting himself Spyke would ball his fists again and cross the space to Jurie.

Spyke's previous attack had half failed and half not completed. When he realized she'd back peddled he'd stopped part way through. Now he stepped forward once again and swung at her right shoulder with his left hand in a straight punch fashion. He would keep his right hand open and ready to react just in case.
