I was taking a Phantom quiz the other day and one of the questions was: Which of the following actresses has never played Christine? The answer was pretty obviously Lea Salonga. But that made me sad because I REALLY like Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon is my second favorite operetta next to PotO). But sadly I don't think an asian Christine would fly for ALW's musical. I discussed with my gf how they should make an asian PotO and thus the title Phantom of the Kabuki was born! Now, this is kind of a pass it on story thing where we create PotK but please try to keep it serious. ^-^ Let's have the Phans create PotK.

Lea Salonga has a beautiful voice! biggrin

Anyway, I'm finding myself strangely attracted to the female phantom in the pictures that Starseed_Danashae posted, even though I am straight. She makes a really pretty guy. heart

I also want to know what the name of that movie is. Does anyone know what language it's in? Maybe I can find it at one of the asian malls around here *looks hopeful*

Okay, never mind, I found the answers to my own questions. The movie is called "Ye ban ge sheng" (The Phantom Lover--it's in Mandarin). I want to go look for it now. I thankfully have access to a LOT of Chinese movie stores. But I'm disappointed because I can't seem to find any more pictures of the Korean all-female cast (you gotta love the phantom's outfit in those pics). I hope Starseed_Danashae posts some more.

Being part Asian myself, I can toally like and want an Asian girl to play the part of Christine someday...namely, me! LOL.

Yeah, especially the Christine. She totally looks like a mannequin or something. Still wanting to see the Chinese movie though...Crap! I just realized I was at a Chinese mall the other day and I never looked for it xd

I saw the musical here in Tokyo a couple weeks ago... it was pretty awesome, if you ignore the fact that I had no idea what they were saying. If anything it was the perfect reason to get my PotO phone strap heart
