_WING EVENT_ Wingsecond Kem I'm not going when I'm done, you know!
And now, my lovely friends, I suppose I can show you my paper...Quote: Sigranth: A’dan (Petite Kitsune) Garith: R'than (TawnyAngel) Cavaruth: A’ras (Kaikoloren) Iawanth: P’ree (Tisiphone) Erevuth: N’ron (Bloody Anubis) Tiaranth: Z'ven (BFK) Futarith: V'eema (endejester) Hallianth: I’ver (Aimee Rankin) Briaranth: R’lus (Nessariah) Custom 1: Lyveana and green Ruinnth (Celeanor) Custom 2: T'loa and bronze Niyath (Uta) Custom 3: Mella and blue Cresth (Holy Blasphemy) And in case you were wondering about those that have been mixed and matched… A’ras the Adonis was simply made for Cavaruth, the knight in shining armor. A’ras is a lady-killer and Cavaruth is more than happy to be the proud steed. They are both studs! They’ll be knocking women down dead with their charm and grace! Briaranth finds R’lus to be very comforting. His utmost love for her can put her insecurity at ease. Her dislike of flights allows her to be fine with his partner and his willingness to take one for the team when flights do come really makes up for it, tenfold. Briaranth won’t be afraid to be the one to tell R’lus it’s time for a shave, either. Hallianth chose I’ver because she felt something very strong between them. Both dragon and rider are on the immature side of the scale, but I’ver has the strength of character to support Hallianth when she gets let down. P'ree satisfies Iawanth's need for living life to the fullest--and more! There's never a dull moment with His, though his work ethic is something to be desired! Iawanth will poke and prod at his rider to get off his rear and work whenever he feels P'ree is becoming a bit too lazy, but is usually sidetracked by whatever antic His decides to pull next. Our wingleader will be Lyveana and our wingsecond will be R'than! “This is your own fault, K’em.”
K’em supposed, perhaps, maybe, just maybe, Cordel was right. Bringing another girl into the weyr specifically after W’ten asked him not to was sort of like asking for trouble. Of course, messing around all his paperwork so he couldn’t find the files he needed was completely juvenile and at least ten times more obnoxious than that cute little blond he’d snagged last night. This was way over board. S’kagi had asked him to organize all the files for the riders who’d applied to be in the new wing, since S‘kagi had those wingleader things to do. And there were a lot of files. More than he could count, in fact.
And he had one night to do it.
“SHAFFIT K’em, I’m a healer, not a archivist. I’m not helping you with those.”
“…please?” K’em showed off his impressive armful of messy pages. He gave Cordel his best kicked-puppy look, but alas. Being K’em’s best friend had certain perks, one of which was the immunity to any and all of the brownrider’s charm.
“Remember when I told you there’d come a time I wasn’t going to be able to pull you out of the grave you dug? This is one of those times.” And Cordel promptly showed his friend the door.
K’em shuffled out with a sigh, clutching the papers closely. He could remember the dragons S’kagi had chosen. He couldn’t remember who was supposed to be wingleader or wing second. That was up to him? Yes. That would be up to him. Now. The dragons.
Bronze Sigranth, brown Garith, blues Cavaruth, Iawanth and Erevuth, and the greens Futarith, Tiarenth, Hallianth and Briarianth. Yes. Those…and…there were three others. Who else? And who were their riders!? K’em groaned and his shoulders slumped. It was going to be a long, long night...

organization, k'em learned, is key
Overall Guidelines 1. There are nine premade dragons and three customs up for grabs. You CANNOT changed the premade personalities. 2. All entries are to be PM'd to Wingsecond Kem! 3. Please do not edit your entries once they have been sent. 4. This contest will run for a week, so it will end at 10 PM EST on Friday, June 19th. 5. There is NOT a pre-chosen wingleader or wingsecond! We will be choosing both from the twelve dragons in this wing! Do NOT request this position. However, if you do not want your rider considered, please make note in the ‘other’ section of the form, otherwise anyone (and we mean all colors!) will be considered. 6. Remember, these are adult customs, so we don't want to see any character who's currently a candidate! ;3
Premade Guidelines 1. The dragons' personalities are premade and not to be changed dramatically. 2. You create a rider you would match with one of the dragons! 3. You may enter as many different riders as you like. 4. You have the option to give us permission to pair your rider with a dragon you didn't enter for, if the dragon you entered for has been taken or we feel the rider matches better. You do not have to take this option.
Custom Guidelines 1. You can't custom a gold, sorry. :[ 2. A custom rider can be paired with a flatsale dragon if you take that option.
Feel free to leave any questions in this thread! <3

He’s where he should be all the time, and when he’s not, he’s with the mate of some other bronze. Sigranth is the most gorgeous bronze you will ever see and he will be the first to affirm this suspicion. While he does not come out and say such, it’s very obvious how highly he thinks of himself. He takes great care to keep himself looking his finest. Sigranth is not the biggest or the fastest or the cleverest, but none of that bothers him. He’s the most gorgeous lump of dragonflesh any rider has ever laid eyes on. He keeps himself in shape and keeps himself spotless…though, he could make dirty look good.
Saying he was self-absorbed would be the understatement of the century. Sigranth is always putting on a show, flaunting everything he’s got for no one in particular. His ego is the size of Pern itself and even his rider would be hard-pressed to knock him down a peg. He’s not really leader material, simply because the only being he can really focus on is himself. Some take him for an airhead, but that’s not the case. Sigranth is perfectly capable of complex thought process, he’s proved himself now and then he just…doesn’t usually see why it’s worth the effort.
Flights are another one of those things he can’t quite see the point of. Everyone’s attention is on the female, be she gold or green, and not where it should be. Which is on him, if you haven’t caught on by now. Quite frankly, any female he chased should be honored. While usually very proud, it’s not hard to get under Sigranth’s skin if you’re tricky. Well, that’s not true. You just have to trip him up and blow his cover as the smoothest bronze who ever walked Pern. And when that happens, duck and cover! Sigranth’s temper is explosive.
Garith is a bit older than the rest of his wing, a bit wiser. He has always been a gentle and patient creature, more of a gentleman than a dragon. Distinguished is a good word to describe him, and it is very important to this brown that every action he makes is done with honor. Those who treat him politely will be treated warmly, and those that are rude, well... Garith will be civil, no matter what. It is impossible to rouse his temper or ruffle him--everything is taken with a grain of salt. Grave has sometimes been used to describe him as well, for as easy-going as he is, Garith doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor.
When it comes to rules and regulations, Garith will follow them without question or doubt. He often reminds the others to do the same if they are acting out of line, though he never means to come off as arrogant or condescending. He is loyal, through and through, to both his Weyr and his rider. The big brown is very intelligent; he takes it upon himself to valiantly try to remember every name offered to him, and can actually remember most of his wing by their riders' names.
Garith chooses to chase only after greens during Flights, believing that to be his proper place. It is the bronze dragons that will fly the queen--not browns! Perhaps he's a bit old-fashioned with his thinking, but this brown will never be anything less than rock-solid and steady.
Damsels in distress, have no fear, Cavaruth to the rescue! A knight-in-shining-armor since birth, this blue always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He’s witty and bold. He’s quick-thinking and agile and Cavaruth has all the confidence of the finest bronze. And while all this sounds absolutely fantastic (who wouldn’t want to be his friend?) , it is actually quite a problem. As it were, our charismatic blue is under the impression every female is in need of his hero services when they are, in fact, not. Cavaruth doesn’t take no for an answer. ‘No’ means they are playing hard to get, clearly.
Unfortunately, not only does Cavaruth consider every female human and dragon alike in need of his chivalry, he doesn’t see females as anything more. His respect is simply for his fellow males, be them blue, brown or bronze. Of course, there is a respect for the Queen as well, but it’s as though it’s a small joke everyone is sharing. He’ll follow her orders, but he doesn’t exactly take her seriously. Men know best, after all. All the females ever do is get themselves in trouble. Not that he minds rescuing them. Rescuing females is Cavaruth’s favorite thing!
Despite his general lack of respect for females, Cavaruth still enjoys Flights. Considering the time he spends with the opposite gender, he seems to think he knows them very well. He’s not easily discouraged, so losing a Flight doesn’t bother him a bit. In fact, it makes him that much more determined, off to woo the green in question until he finds himself in her good favor. While his intentions are usually good, he needs his rider to tell when enough is enough. Cavaruth has no concept of the word no!

Nothing will ever keep Iawanth from serving his wing. An incredibly dedicated blue, all he wants to do is live. Being still and doing nothing is the quickest way to drive the dragon insane. He’d do anything, as long as he is out and about, getting ready to fight Thread. He has every confidence it will fall during his life time, and will he ever be ready! In fact, Iawanth looks forward to the day! What’s living if you’re afraid of the future? He’d do anything to prove his worth, and though he may be on the scrawnier side, he is fairly certain he is worth quite a bit. And if he’s not, well, all the more to work harder for, right?
Iawanth cannot be classified as optimistic, because he isn’t hopeful. He’s not a pessimist, either. Iawanth just is and nothing can keep him from such. He is, in fact, a thrill-seeker. As dedicated as he is, he cannot exist without taking risks. He needs to feel the rush, needs to give himself a good scare every now and then, or he gets dull. Despite what his rider says and does, Iawanth is still out there doing wild things. He’s a very wild boy at heart, full of energy. It’s best to put that energy to good use! As mentioned above, he’s happiest doing his job, so it would be in everyone’s best interest to let him do such. Being bored and useless is the worst thing that could ever happen to him, all he wants to do is live. He’s not the most logical being, in fact, logic fails him many a time, but he doesn’t mind. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey.
Iawanth is very enthusiastic participants of Flights. He doesn’t really care if he wins or loses (though winning is certainly a bonus), he simply loves the thrill of Flight. It’s a time he can really connect with his rider, which is important to him, despite his stubbornness sometimes. A very loyal dragon, he only dedicated to His and his other love: being alive. He will never be that loyal to any one female, not without an outstanding reason.
Anyone who says dragons cannot be conniving have obviously never met Erevuth before. He is the definition of sly and sneaky, and his methods are almost cruel to an extent. He has no issues with using people until they have no more worth, then dropping them and moving on without a second glance. There doesn't seem to be a particular reason as to why he's doing this; he'd much hide in the shadows to better plot instead of being in the spotlight, so being the biggest or the best definitely does not appeal. Whatever Erevuth's reasons are, only His can truly understand them; should His be the sort that wanted to manipulate others, Erevuth would take that on as a fun and personal challenge.
This blue can be extremely finicky, and often goes sour when things don't go his way. He prides himself on deceiving people, and if someone were to unmask him, it isn't unlikely to find him sulking by himself. His rider will need to soothe him--or at least be patient until Erevuth eventually comes out of his funk. He is very peculiar with people and dragons; he sometimes will decide he doesn't like someone at all for no good reason, and will often be scornful and snide to them. For such a sneaky dragon, he has no issues with showing his true feelings to people he can't stand!
Flights? Why, he hardly even considers them. Erevuth doesn't rise very often, more preoccupied with scheming and wiggling himself into the good graces of others. But, as much as he randomly decides to dislike certain individuals, he can become quite intrigued with others without warning. Should a female catch his eye, he will chase her with all his ability. And if he fails? Well, his rider is never going to hear the end of it...
Bubbly, whimsical, and always a step ahead of other dragons when it comes to acting first and thinking later, this green is quite the handful. Her movements are elegant and almost hypnotic in the skies, and Futarith isn't afraid of taking any risks. Swooping, diving, even seeing if she can't do flips in midair--her rider is either in for the thrill or the scare of their life when they let her take them up into the air! She has complete and utter confidence in her abilities, though doesn't see a reason to brag about it. What does she have to prove to anyone, when both she and her rider know just how skilled she is?
Though she doesn't mind chatting at just about anyone she meets, Futarith rarely gets attached to people or dragons besides her rider. It isn't that she's arrogant--she's frankly just concerned with being the best and carrying Hers to greatness. She also has a nasty habit of looking down on authoritative figures, particularly golds and bronzes. They aren't any better than she is, and she'll prove it! If snarled at, she'll obey... but not without tossing back a snarky comment in the meantime. Futarith doesn't mean any real harm, but she doesn't want anyone to act like they're better than her just because they were born a different color. She'll out fly them all, if given the chance!
When it comes to Flights, Futarith isn't particularly picky about her partners. After all, if they manage to catch her, then they're obviously worthy! Sometimes, this average-sized green can forget about her rider on a more personal level when she's trying so hard to do great things for both of them. In fact, she might even disobey her rider if they aren't firm enough with her because she thinks she knows what's best. Despite her flaws, Futarith will never give up a challenge or let anyone walk all over her and Hers, and those who think they can put her in her place have another thing coming.

Tiarenth is just the girl you’re looking for! A friendly dragon, all this green wants is her rider’s absolute adoration. Other males can buzz off, she only has room for Hers in her heart. And if her rider’s not giving her the attention she thinks she deserves? Well, that’s what makes her interesting! Tiarenth will never go quietly, quiet isn’t even in this green’s vocabulary! And speaking of vocabulary, she has quite the sharp wit and an entire arsenal in the form of words. Incredibly clever, she has the ability to cut her rider down in just a few words and she’d never shy away from an opportunity. After all, Hers belongs to her!
While comfortable in the presence of any dragon, Tiarenth absolutely refuses to allow her rider near anyone they express any form of romantic or physical attraction to. She should be the center of their world, not some silly human! And when nasty comments don’t fail, Tiarenth resorts to plan B. She will purposely deflate her rider’s ego by any means necessary. She always informs the other dragons when Hers is boasting and cuts him right down and she has definitely shoved him into pools of water more times than she can count.
And exceptionally witty creature, Tiarenth is quite the fan of verbal sparring. They’re rarely angry spars, she just likes a good mental challenge, much more so than a physical one. She’s hard to motivate, though if Hers can prod her enough with witty banter, or even tease it out of her, the green is actually very on the ball. Her mental capacity takes her far when she’s actually using it for something other than arguing with Hers. She gets a little absorbed with what’s going on between herself and Hers, but once finally put on task, Tiarenth is a good dragon to have as back up.
Hallianth is the youngest dragon of the crowd and the green is all heart. She is much more emotion that she is thought and often gets latched onto one idea in particular. Her current fascination? That gorgeous hunk of bronze that’s going to be in her wing, Sigranth! She thinks he’s positively fabulous and spends more time than she should thinking about him. Wing practice will be exceptionally hard for him, with the bronze of her dreams right there. It does not occur to Hallianth that these are just dreams, in fact, and Sigranth doesn’t seem to notice her beyond another faithful worshipper.
Her obsession aside, Hallianth is a fairly smart young green, but she often lets her emotions get the best of her. She’s easily spooked and easily excited. She’s not unpredictable, her spikes in activity can be predicted from a mile away once her rider learns what triggers responses. As with being young, Hallianth hasn’t learned a lot of self-confidence yet. She often takes back what she says and stumbles over words and thoughts, trying her best to come off as cool and collected when she very clearly isn’t.
She’s sensitive, that’s for certain. She tries not to show it in public, but sometimes she just can’t help herself. Hallianth is also gullible. It has nothing to do with her level of intelligence and everything to do with the belief that all people have some amount of good in them. She never sees anyone as out to hurt her and is in for quite a few rude awakenings. As far as Flights go, she’s only experienced one or two, so her habits are hard to assume at this point, though it’s clear she’s got her mind set on a bronze she’ll probably never attain.
Briarianth is kicking a** and taking names. You do not tell Briarianth what to do, sir. She has the guts and the glory and this tough little female will sass you right back to the stone age if you try to tell her otherwise. Her sharp tongue is her greatest attribute, rivaled only by her ability to sniff out the juiciest bits of gossip. While she rarely starts anything herself, she is more than happy to eavesdrop if something sounds interesting and she’s never above passing something good along, though she does take pride in weeding out the good bits of information from the utter garbage.
Of course, trying to force anything out of her will get you no where. Naturally slightly suspicious, it takes a while to befriend her. She also requires a lot of patience, simply from the sheer amount of verbal abuse she is able to dish out in one sitting. Briarianth takes great pride in her ability to shame anyone she knows and spends most of her time thinking about it, even during wing practice. Perhaps this is because she is not particularly athletic, or it could be quite the opposite. She did try hard once, but one blunder too many and she decided trying hard was ‘overrated’. It was really a matter of being embarrassed herself, but no one’s been able to convince her to work hard again.
It only makes sense that Briarianth hates Flights. Not very comfortable in her own skin or with herself, she doesn’t like the idea of males chasing her for her attentions. It makes her very nervous, in fact, and she depends on her rider heavily during that time. It’s very unlikely she’ll stick with one male, simply because he’ll find something wrong with her. She’d never admit that and verbally beat anyone who even implied as such, even her rider. Briarianth is determined to be independent and fierce and often fails to consider the repercussions.

it would be in his best interest to save some space
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Will this affect my chances at an upcoming Hatching? No! Provided you don't have 5 dragons already, this will not affect you in an upcoming Hatching.
2. What do these cost? Nothing! This is a free event. Awesome, right?
3. So, can I leave the personality and appearance blank in custom and you make it up for me? The personality needs to be filled in. This is a custom, so you need to make that up. However, if you're willing to give the artists free reign, that's fine! You can like the appearance blank. Personality MUST be filled in. We are not matching personalities, currently, that is just for hatchings.
4. Can I enter more than once? Totally! Give us all the ideas you have!

This is such a wonderful contest ^^
I just have one question regarding the pre-made contest:
If I feel that two dragons are equally fitted to my character (one because the dragon and rider are so very much alike, and one because their differences compliment each other), is it acceptable to put both of their names under the section asking for the dragon name? I am already going to say that I am happy to have my rider considered for any dragon - so I completely understand if that is the only other thing I am allowed to do besides name a single dragon. I'm just curious razz
Thank you!
