Aaah...! Rangi was a happy soul, the product of two very loving, and frequently silly, parents and really at this moment in his life, he couldn't imagine things beening any better. He was finally old enough to venture around outside the pride's borders, something his mother urged him to do frequently now that he was bound to become the pride's next King, should anything happen to his father. He was sure his parents wanted the alone time as well, and that thought made him chuckle. If the Goddess willed it, he'd be bound to have more siblings coming along soon enough.
Settling on a sun warmed rock by a river, he made quick work of the fish he'd j ust caught (having been taught by his father, who'd been taught by a water lioness), and was content to close his eyes for a nap. Every so often an ear flicked in curiosity at the sounds around him, but to be honest...he wasn't really paying any attention.

Olora's home life was as different for Rangi's as it could get. Her mother was off with her old mate, not a care about her in the world. Her father has his mate, and the two males were trying for more kids. She hated her father. He'd broken her mothers hearts. He'd broken her heart too. She didn't trust that male he'd mated, and so she was gone. She refused to return to his pride. Which made her a wanderer.
She'd been crying a lot as of late. She hated her family.

Rangi was half asleep by this time, waking dreams filling his head...those that come right when your not quite asleep nor awake. Usually he enjoyed these, but one disturbed him for it was sad. As all dreams do, when one tries to think about them too deeply, it escaped his grasp and disappeared, leaving him blinking in the sunlight and feeling vaguely disturbed about something.
Unable to enjoy the day as he once had, he jumped down from his rock and began wandering once more in some random direction. He was still trying to make sense of the odd dream he'd had when he came across a tan lioness with green markings. At first he said nothing, as their paths crossed (she didn't seem to him particularly interested in company as her thoughts seemed distracted), but it was the fact she was crying that made him turn around and ask with concern, "Are you okay, Miss?"
