Nereida~
Oh, my goodness, graces... I suck out of the house again, this time during the night.. it was a full moon, and I wanted to go swimming... I've never been swimming before in the dark 'cause mom would never allow it... so, I felt daring. I went swimming and laid out on my back for while under the moon, and started to feel this tingling feeling.... I taught that maybe it was the cold, but no! I started to glow! It was so weird! Then I was being pulled from under the water... then I blacked out.
Next thing I know is that mom was screaming and crying, hovering over me.... I was laying on the beach, near the shore. I guess I had fallen asleep… but when she came up to me, she shrieked… I looked down at myself thinking that maybe my legs would be gone.. But… … no… … I had evolved! Mother and I rushed home, and I went straight for the mirror…. … I was utterly speechless… .. I’m beautiful… … I feel so beautiful…. …
A little while later, mom and I talked, and decided that we would go on a search to find other people… I can’t wait… …

My baby girl... the little feather that I once could fit in the palm of my hand is now a big girl... she's so beautiful.... she grew up so fast over the winter... in a few weeks, we're going to travel to look around for more feathers... I promised her... she needs other people... she needs to understand where she has came from.... ... she'snot my baby girl anymore..

My daughter has grown up. It's been 3 years since I have wrote in my journal. So much has happened, Ihave not been able to find the time to write here. Nereida is quiet as ever, though she has always been a very quiet one. We've lost sight of Helina. Heck, we've lost sight of anyone. No one comes around here. The lake is desserted. Nereida and I have it all to ourselves. For me, it is a good thing. As for Nereida, I'm afraid that she'll never get used to other people. I've made a much larger house, added onto the old one. Nereida spends most of her time in the water, and collects the herbs needed. She is such a good girl. I am lucky to have her.
