All JLA communicators suddenly recieved this message--"This is Zatanna Zatara to all JLA core and reserve members; keep an eye out for a little girl, about five years old, red hair, red eyes, Caucasian, likely wearing a red and white dress. Answers to Rosie. ... Could be multiple versions of subject. If found, please bring back to watchtower. Repeat, bring to watchtower. And yes, Flash, I'm aware that this sounds like a lost kitten poster. Shut up."

After nearly ten minutes of open fire, lyrics blaring out over the loudspeakers, and catastrophic chain events, the power finally kicked off save a few lights she had left on earlier.
Walls around the area Gold Star was standing were blackened or resembled Swiss cheese. A few weapons were still intact, while others sat broken with chunks of metal and wire hanging off of them. An Star, still standing tense with her force field set up around her at full power, sat in the middle of the mess.
She stood there a good minute or two after it had all stopped, and blinked. When she could finally feel her legs again, she managed to look around. At least two hours worth of work had just been totaled. She had no idea how to fix half of the weapons either.
"...well...that's just great." she mumbled to herself, letting her shield fade around her.
So...now what? Did she try and salvage the things for parts? Try and figure out how to fix them? Or should she just go out and take a nice, long break?

Staring at the mess of broken parts, the girl let out a very long sigh and turned around and walked down the hall, back to the principal's office. She'd been working on this s****y stuff all day. She needed a break. She'd fuss over everything once she came back.
Once reaching the room, she flipped one of the pictures over, revealing a small metal box with flip switches she had installed earlier. All but two of them were flipped off, but she knew she'd have to fiddle with them again later. They had come on by themselves after all. They were likely to be fried. So, she'd just have to turn on the secondary, much milder defense system. Just in case anyone broke in while she was gone.
Once satisfied, the flipped the picture back into place, grabbed her bag off of the floor, and checked to make sure she had everything she needed inside of it.
She didn't have any money...but the mall seemed like a good place to relax for a while. Just teleport inside one of the clothing stores, snatch something, do the same thing to a few other stores, then just change in the restroom. Then she'd have a little outfit that didn't all come from the same place. Send her armor back home, and she was free to roam the mall. If she found something she liked, stealing it was next to nothing. She'd find a way to get actual money later.

ENTER FROM SURROUNDING AREAS OF NYC
Gold Star appeared inside her new home and quickly made her way to where she thought she teleported all of her mall grabs. She made it into the principal's office, where she kept all of her other things, and turned to the corner where there was a small pile of clothes lying. The denim jacket and large purse she'd slid off the maniquin that was lying in the destroyed display window of the mall store. Lying beside them was a denim skirt and a purple halter top.
Star blinked down at the small pile of clothes. That was it? Other than what she was wearing, that's all she snagged? Well THAT wouldn't do. Not only was it missing a other needed articles of clothing...that would only leave one change of clothes for herself! She was sure she'd grabbed something else on her way out of the mall. Now what did she do? She already promised that she wasn't going to steal anything...
With her features drawn together in thought, she set her purse on the large desk beside her. The dull clank of Shocker's gauntlets was heard momentarily, but it was the brighter, smaller, more shrill clank accompanied the heavy clank that caught Star's attention. She looked over at the purse, then mentally opened it and let all of the items inside float out of it.
Her cell phone, the gauntlets, a small knife....and diamonds. Quite a few nice pieces of jewelry.
Star stared at them a minute, then smiled widely.
"Lightbulb." she said to herself brightly.
Stuffing everything back into her purse, she grabbed it and vanished again.

Gold Star appeared, as well as her three guests, inside a small room filled with lockers. More specifically...the girl's locker room. Gwen immediately recognized the room, thanks to everyone's required gym class.
"Ok, so...yeah. You three stay down here and don't move. Look after her and make sure she doesn't...um...get worse?" Star said, looking between the concious two hopefully. This was one of the few rooms in the school she HADN'T made adjustments to. So this was the only room she could take them that they wouldn't freak out in.
Gwen looked around a moment, then turned back towards Star. "....why did you-"
"Just stay down here and you'll be safe! Seriously, don't move. I don't want to have to search all over the place for you if you go walking around." Star said cheerfully.
The next second, she was gone. Oddly, this seemed like more of a panicked exit than her usual poof.
Gwen and Kong paused a moment before exchanging glances.

Gwen and Kong had followed what Gold Star had said for as long as they could. They all sat at one of the stools in the girl's locker room, keeping an eye on Kitty as she drifted back into consciousness, then the fact that they hadn't ate anything in quite some time began to kick in. Gwen decided to venture into the hallways to find something in the vending machines for everyone while Kong stayed with Kitty. Unfortunately she didn't make it anywhere near the vending machines. She walked down the hall, around the corner, then stopped dead in her tracks. There were guns. Huge, honest to goodness GUNS sitting on the walls like security cameras. There was also a toolbox lying against the wall next to a broken piece of tile. She couldn't really tell...but it looked like a small beam of something hazy and red was coming out of the wall. "....oh man..." she said in a barely audible whisper. Very gently, but quickly, she began backing up and headed back for the locker room. She made it to the spot where all she had to do was round the corner and she was there, when a rather loud crack made her nearly jump out of her skin. She stopped cold, and carefully peeked around the corner. Much to her relief, Kong was standing outside the doorway, having apparently cracked his toes on the corner of it by the way he was standing. "Oh man, you scared the crap outta me. Look, I think we need to get out of here now." she said as she walked up to him. Kong looked up at her a moment and blinked, then smiled slightly. "Oh? What for?"~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ As they waited on Gwen to return, Kong sat next to where Kitty was lying, trying to keep relaxed. Despite everything that had happened, he was strangely bored out of his mind just sitting here. Kitty seemed to be alright, so it wasn't like he was worried for her life or anything. Just....waiting. A loud crack from outside the doorway made him jump, and he instinctively stared at the door. "...Gwen?" he called out. No answer. There was definitely someone standing outside the doorway though. He could see their shadow move across the blurred glass of the door. Glancing down at Kitty a moment, he picked her up and moved her to another bench that was behind a large set of lockers in the middle of the room. He grabbed a nearby mop and moved back to the spot they had been sitting. "Gwen?" he called out again, the mop handle grasped firmly in both his hands.

When there was no answer, and no further movement from outside the door, Kong carefully moved towards the door. He opened it and pushed it open with the mop securely in his right fist.
Nothing….no one. He stood there a moment, looking down the hall, listening for anything he could. Finally, Gwen appeared around the corner and walked down the hallway towards him.
”Gwen? Are you alright?”
”Yeah, I’m fine. Couldn’t find anything.” she replied as she approached the doorway. She stopped and looked blankly at him a moment. ”Um…Kong. Why are you holding a mop?”
Kong blinked a moment and looked down at the mop in his hand. ”Um…you know. Just in case. I thought I heard something out here and you didn’t answer. So…”
Gwen smiled. ”It’s alright. Let’s go back in.”
Kong smiled a bit and turned to walk back inside. ”So what took you so long?” he asked.
”Oh, I just got a little side-tracked.” she replied, following Kong into the room. ”How’s Kitty doing?”
”Alright…” he replied as they came around the lockers and to the bench she was lying on. ”She still hasn’t woken up yet.”
”Yeah, they did a pretty good job about making sure these things incapacitate.” Gwen replied.
Kong’s eyes widened and he turned towards Gwen, who had an odd-shaped gun aimed at him. The gun went off, and he only had time to cry out before everything went black.
Gwen stepped closer to the teenager as he hit the ground and grinned. ”Well, that was easy enough.” she said, her voice becoming much deeper.
”Hurry it up, will you.” another voice echoed down the hall. This one slightly more electronic. ”There are cameras all over this school and I can only keep up these minor illusions for so long.”
”Yeah, yeah. Hold on.” the girl replied as her figure changed into one that was much more muscular. Deadpool aimed the gun at Kitty and fired one more time. Just to make sure that she stayed out. ”Hey, is Chameleon back yet? I ain’t gonna be able to carry both of em’ outta here.”
As if on cue, three wax figures walked into the room and up to Deadpool. ”Ah. You know I’m starting to like those creepy little monster things. Go ahead and take them out.”
Two creatures picked up Kong, and the last picked up Kitty and carried them out the door. Deadpool followed after them. ”Alright. That was easy. Let’s go Mystery O’s.”
”It’s Mysterio” the voice growled.
”Whatever…”
EXIT Kitty, Kong, Gwen, Deadpool, & Mysterio to Underground Exhibit.

 ENTER from SANCTUM SANCTORUM Gold star returned to 'her' school that had half been turned into a base...and found it empty. No Kong...no Gwen...no Kitty. They were just...gone. Freezing for a moment, she did a mental sweep of the entire building. Nothing. She did another mental sweep. And another. And another. Still nothing. They were just....gone. Utterly gone. Panic set in and she flashed herself into the principal's room. Immediately she went to her makeshift security area to check the cameras. Nothing. She went back as far as she could, and there was absolutely nothing. One minute they were all in the locker room, the next they were gone. Cursing under her breath, she grabbed her bag from the floor and shoved a few things lying on the floor into it. With that she flashed herself into the restroom. A few minutes later she returned to the room fully armored and ready to go. She flipped the switches to turn her security on full, and was gone in the next flash. EXIT to NEW YORK CITY
