People are sitting around Varrock, when before they would stand. Or even dance... The follow eachother type of dance. Or even do emotes!
What does this all mean?!
Well, they're all getting lazier, doing less and are gonna get fat, that's what!
Sure, you may say that well, with the new rest, people will be running more. But no... Not everyone. Not those weird members who like to, for some reason, hang around the palace in f2p. No... And for them, their Agility will lower! burning_eyes
You know it's true. You know it!
While I'm on the topic. You totally know the rest idea probably came along when someone was thinking about all those people wanting to be able to sit. Now you can sit pretty much anywhere!
Also, with the bugs that popped up, there was all of those System Updates. There were several threads complaining, telling Jagex to stop updating.
And you totally know I went to those threads and said something along the lines of...
"Isn't this the perfect example of 'becareful what you wish for'? I mean, for the last while, people were bitching at Jagex for not updating all that much. Well now you're getting like 3 System *Update*s in one day! Think of this as Jagex's sick joke at getting you back. You guys annoyed them with your bitching, well now they're annoying you, aren't they?" blaugh
Oh, another thing is the poses you rest in. The one where you're leaning back on your hands. If you're sitting next to someone with that same pose it would be like you're holding hands. Which made me thing. There was one pose featured in the Blog where the person was laying down. Later they said they had to scrap that one because of some clipping issues or whatnot. Surely they could fix those. I think the real reason they removed it was because they didn't want spooning. Bastards! mad
Oh well, you could still sit and lean back facing up and look straight at someone's a**/crotch. Right?

I, personally, love this new rest option. I think it's one of Jagex's better idea for small things in the game.
Only problem I foresee with it is PvPers might not like it because before this, if you were out of run, you were ********. Now, your prey can just high-tail it outta there.

All right... I'll cover as many things as possible in this from my perspective razz
I have 99 Agility, oo ahh, woah, what, eep ahh wee...
To me, running is unlimited now. I never have to rest, I can do whatever now without ever having to use any means of energy restoration.
Example: I used to have to use a Spirit Terrorbird with thousands of Tireless Run Scrolls to do abyssal runecrafting. It would give me 49% energy back when I used the scroll and would supply means of always running. Now with the new update, I can run with an abyssal familiar without any restoration. I'll be in Edgeville bank with 100% energy, do a run to make runes, end up in Edgeville bank again and I'm once again at 100% energy.
When they said they would be adding musicians (Although I admit I hardly read the Development Diaries because I thought it wouldn't affect me at 99 Agility) I never thought they would update like this.
To me, this is a great update in some aspects. Others... I dunno. 99 Agility is gifting as hell, used to be a very quick restoration rate, 99 agility being 1.5 minutes compared to 1 agility of 7.5 minutes.
I can now go from 0 to 100% energy in less than 1 minute standing, less than 30 seconds resting, and less than 20 seconds with a musician. Ridiculous I find.
I think the biggest upset for me however I am not surprised is that they updated the fact that Agility no longer works in the free world which was one of the main reasons I could handle getting 99 Woodcutting there.
Anyways... Iunno where I'm going with this. I like the resting though I find it incredibly unnecessary due to the quick regeneration of energy.
And by the way: Spooning, that's hilarious.

I'll add more with every one most likely making comments. I'm lost for words now razz

i thought the energy restoration will be the same. You will have to use the musicians to restore you energy a lot faster. (thus making them useful).
I never expected this "Rest" to be active anywhere. I thought you can use rest if it was near the musician.
I still like it though.

I'm gonna update this post in a bit but I'm gonna time exactly how fast it takes to regain energy at level 99 with the following methods:
0 to 100% regained standing: 1 minute and 29 seconds
0 to 100% regained resting: 23 seconds
0 to 100% regained musician: 13 seconds
100 to 0% continuous running at 0kg: 1 minute and 42 seconds
Note: Times may be off by a second or two, but are about right.
