This thread is for those of us who love video games and also have seen gardens in at least one of them.
If you also love gardens then all the better. I myself don't love gardens but I have seen games that have some.
Have you ever seen one of those gardens and wanted one just like that for yourself?
How about model a garden and make it a apart of a video game? Ever thought about that?
So, if there's anything of the sort you'd like to share, go ahead and post. What are you waiting for? wink
I decided to make my first post ornate cuz it sort of reminds me of the way a garden can look. You know?
BTW, there have been many Castlevania games that have had at least one form of garden. I think my favorite one is in the game subtitled "Lament of Innocence". It's BGM (background music) is quite good and everything looks menacing inside of it. It almost looks like a mystic garden and I've always wondered why would Dracula even bother with a garden in the first place. Doesn't anyone else?

I found many gardens in some of the CV games to be more like courtyards or cloisters than anything else. There doesn't seem to be anything like big gardens in them. They're still pretty much gardens, but the music in CV games just tends to be fitting anyway. Some of the weird creatures you find in those places are creepy as well.

Yes, that's a good point Mel. I think I like the garden in Lament cuz not only the castle has one but it also has a source of water for the plants and plant like monsters that dwell there. Remember the Dark Palace of Waterfalls? That seemed to be to water source for them while there aren't humans for most of them to feed on.
And yes, some of them can be really weird and or creepy. Which one is the most creepy for you Mel? I can't say I can think of one right now but, the coolest one I can think of is the Alruna Une; also known as Venus Weed in SotN (if I'm not mistaken). Don't you think that monster has a really effective bait? I doubt there are many people who wouldn't be lured to a naked woman inside a huge flower. Just think that not only us guys would be lured by it but also lesbians and bisexual people. mrgreen
Although, I must say that I might not be lured by such a creature. First off, I'm not a big fan of plants so seeing a naked woman near one is not exactly a turn on for me. sweatdrop

I can remember two beautiful gardans in PRINCE OF PERSIA 3: THE TWO THRONES. the first one is in plance. The Prince (the chararter, he doesnt give any other name) comments that this garden was build to be a gift for his father who was a just and fair king. The secound one is almost at the finish. The secound garden is just know as the garden of life. and The Prince comments that it runs everything in the kingdom. Im dont really belive in that bit but its a beautiful place to glide the prince into. when you go into it its set as nightime and flrefies are EVERYWHERE. a very beautiful place.
The only other game i can think of is a Tomb Raider game. Legdends its called. and not really a garden more of a jungle and its called Gaiah. thats beautifully made as well. basically you have to get water wheels moving to get into another room then once you do that you only need to get thorugh a caple of traps, runaway from a large rock and then you fight the main boss - a great level but its not a garden sorry

Thanks for posting! I had no idea there was anything like that in any of the PoP games. I suppose I should get the edition that was made for Wii, huh? It has all 3 games for the price of one so, it would be perfect for me as I haven't even tried one.
It's ok if it's not exactly a garden. As long as it has vegetation of any kind, you can talk about it here. I mean really, there must be lots of exciting jungles or forests in other games.
For example, I remember that Legend of Mana has both a forest and a jungle but the coolest one is definitely the forest, the white forest. Why? Cuz it has a cool dragon living in it and you can recruit her dragoon to accompany you in your quests if you so desire. wink

Agreed! It's too bad about the other guild and don't worry about replying late, I wasn't able to come back sooner either.
