My step-sister's dog ate two chicken bones, and it's my fault because my door was open...My dad took him to the vet, and my step-mom went out because that's how she deals with the stress....I am freaking out like no other right now, so everyone pray that he'll just vomit up the bones so everything will be ok because this HAS to end well, and I am filled with bottomless guilt at the moment...

Hopefully both you and the dog will be ok.
depending on the size of the dog and the size of the bones and whether the dog chewed them a bit will make a huge difference in the out come.

It will be ok.

I don't think it can be blamed on you - it was just an unfortunate incident. And I don't think that eating chicken bones is an automatic fiasco... of course we try to keep our dogs away from them because of the risks, but I've known people who fed their dogs chicken bones for years and been lucky enough to never have an issue. Maybe the doggy will be just fine. *hugs*

I hope everything goes well. Take some deep breaths and see if you can let go of some of that guilt.
