Red was lazing on a rock, lying on his side and letting the sun warm him. Since he was no longer in the desert that often, he liked this spot - it was unobstructed, and the rock warmed quickly. It was as close as he could get to lounging in the desert sands, and he was satisfied with the substitute. It was a beautifully sunny day, and he couldn't help but wonder were Abla was...

Abla wasn't that far away. She was wandering away from her brother's pride, coming back from spending some time with him and her sister. A smile was on her maw as she sniffed around, trying to pin point where Red was. She was going to need to introduce him to her daughters and her grandchildren some time. But she had to figure out where she was staying first. Abla smiled softly before looking around slightly. She caught his scent and her mouse conformed her sights. She started to head his way.

Red heard the sound of life not far off, and his ears swiveled to catch who or what it was. Then the wind blew his direction, and he caught Abla's scent, causing him to sit bolt upright, looking with his one eye for her and her mouse companion. When he caught sight, his suspicions were confirmed and a smile spread on his maw and his tailed tapped the rock in slow rhythm - he didn't want to startle her, by bounding up to greet her, so instead he made his way down the ock as she approached.

Abla smiled as her mouse whispered in her ear that Red was coming her way. She flicked her tail, and moved her head slightly to get her 'mane' out of her eyes. Even though she couldn't see out of them she didn't like having them in her face. She chuckled softly as he got closer to her. "Hi there love." She said with a small chuckle leaning forward and nuzzling him before leaning back before nipping at his maw.

"It's been too long," he jested, licking her cheek when she nuzzled him, and chuckling she she nipped at him. "Today's a perfect day to sun," he commented, shaking out his coat a bit, it having been matted from lying on his sunning rock so long. "Care to join me?"

Abla smiled softly before she nudged him softly again. "It looks like a perfect day." She laughed slightly before she flicked her hair out of her eyes then smiled softly. "Lets." She wandered over to the rock, laying down on it and flicking her tail around, scooting over some to make some room for him.

Red followed her and sprawled next to her, nuzzling her as he did so. The sun had rewarmed the rock, which he had cooled from shading it for so long. Now it was truly a perfect day!

Abla smiled as she leaned over and started to clean his fur, straightening out some of the mats, some how seeming to know exactly where they were. "So you do have plans on staying right?" She chuckled softly before licking his cheek. Leaning into him a bit before sighing softly.

"Yeah," he replied, purring softly. "I visited Kish'ya a few days ago... Told her about you, and that I wouldn't be around often..." He pushed those recent memories aside - she had been happy that he had found a mate, but not happy about his leaving... She never liked his long wandering periods in the first place. "But now I'm here to stay."

Abla looked at him with a concerned look. She wasn't that sure if it was goood that he was leaving his homelands, she wanted him to be happy. She licked his cheek with a soft smile. "I'm glad your here but..." Her voice trailed for a moment before it picked back up. "I really don't want you to be unhappy, it leaving your homelands for a long time does that.

Red glanced at her with a small frown, "Abla, I often left my home to wander the rest of the Pride Lands, knowing that some day I would have to leave." He chuckled slightly, the small frown turning to a small smile. "Lions don't often venture to the desert, only out of it. But not being there all the time will make it all the more exciting to visit, and even more so because you'll be able to join me - at least once!"

Abla looked down at her paws as he talked at first, feeling like a cub for a moment. She had a feeling that wouldn't be the best question to ask, but even though she couldn't see his smile she could feel his voice lighten. "As long as you are happy." she grinned softly before nodding to him. nuzzling into him some. ":I woud happily go with you if you want me to."

Red returned the nuzzle, and nipped at her ear. "Don't worry about it," he said, bumping her lightly. "And besides... You might like it, hm? Kish'ya really wants to meet you... And I'd like to meet your family, too!" The thought actually frightened him a bit, but he knew that it was inevitable.

Abla looked over at him and grinned softly she leaned over and nudged him again before looking around. "Well, I'd love to meet her." She leaned over and went back to cleaning his fur gently. "I really hope I'd like it." She giggled before he brought up her family. Her forehead creased then she went back to cleaning. "It will be interesting, I want you to meet my Daughter for starters." She smiled before closing her eyes and resting it on his chest. "But for now I just want to stay here with you, get some rest."

Red nodded with a small smile, running his claws through her fur much like a comb. "I agree," he said quietly, almost drowsily, and with a quiet purr. The sun was sapping his energy, and with her upon his chest he more comfortable and quite happy.

Abla purred quietly as she closed her eyes content at where she was and slowly drifted off into sleep, feeling the wear of the day on her.
