tiny pads leave little sound on this beaten path I followed away from my mother and my siblings. Ebonite feather juts out from the corners of my mouth from when I had latched onto my brothers wing in a brawl we shared earlier. There was a slight stinging from the stick that he had slapped me with, that was the cause of this mayhem. I snickered to myself as I jogged along- happy to be alone and independent for once. I looked ahead, ears pricked forward sight seeing as this is all new to me for now.
All these brids, smells. its all so amusing. I chuckled as I soon tripped over a log and fell into a clearing- ducking down in the grass- hoping no one saw me.

The sound of footfalls fell upon my ears, causing me to raise my head from the investigation of the inside of a small hollow in a tree. There had been movement inside, but with somewhere new for my attention to be I was more than willing to continue searching after I saw who the steps belonged to. As I peered around the tree I saw another cub trotting forward and watched as she tripped over a log. My brows raised as far as they could as the other then proceeded to duck into the grasses. I watched for a few more moments, wondering if I should come forward and see if she was okay, or if I should just sit back and see what happened next. My ears flicked back as I came to my decision, and I stepped around the tree and placed a paw into the longer grass in front of me. My wings gave a couple small flaps before folding back to my side. "You in the grass, are you alright?"

I lifted my tiny skull just above the grass line, looking at the cub before me. Really? He just had to be around to watch me screw up. I scoffed, looking him over, a winged for sure. My white paw lay outstretched before my tiny frame, crushing the blades of grass, tearing them and snapping them. They lay broken beneath me, I could feel them dying a little bit. I cocked my head to the side finally catching the tiny brute's gaze once more. I cant play this off like I would hope too.
"Yeep." I stated, loud enough to hear how I felt. Stupid.

The other cub was silent for quite a bit of time, though I knew she had heard me for after I spoke she looked over at me above the grasses. I wasn't sure why her answer took as long as it did, as it seemed such a simple question. Once she did answer though I found myself sneering, though I don't quite know why I had done so. Perhaps it was how she answered. I wasn't sure, but I shrugged it off and snorted softly to rid my maw of the unfavorable expression that had come upon it.
"Good. Then I shall assume you were not hurt in your..fall." My ears perked back as I stared at what I could see of the cub over the grasses and pulled pack the forepaw I had placed int he tall grass.

I stood up quickly, the grass falling from my pelt like the people on the last seconds of the titanic, screaming as they fell back into the water, and surly died. I caught his expression- but what did it matter? it was the reaction to my words that I intently said like that. Oh well.
"Well then, what name should I call my so called savior then?" I scoffed. I didn't know his name and for sure he didn't know mine. I don't to be rude all the time. Yeah, you did a good deed little man. I guess I'll change my attitude.

I watched as she stood, the movement forcing the grass upon her fur to fall back to the ground, disappearing within the green. Her tone went ignored as the word 'savior' hit my ears. This amused me, even though I was sure she did not mean it, but it pleased me nonetheless.
"I am Preacher, and your name?" My tone was more amicable now, though not overly so. I was quietly enjoying this now, but trying a good deal not to show it.

One of my five velveteen ears fell backwards, then forwards again. I shook the remaining survivors clinging at my pelt off and into the green abyss below. So long, suckers. My name? He wishes to know my name. Who wouldn't know my name- I am an almighty force to be know. I decides what and who happens. I am the one they call on for counseling. I am, "The Jury."
Smirk pursed my kissers- "Jury, I mean. That is what they call me."
