Maliska B Journal Entry #1 - 3/13
I'm pregnant.
I never realized how much irony, disgust, and despair can be packed into those two little words. I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, please kill me.
Of course it works out this way. The Girl has a miscarriage, and what happens? I get pregnant. I wonder what I ever did to spite anyone Up There this badly. Pregnancy is the last thing I want or need. I didn't even want to deal with The Girl when SHE was pregnant. What am I going to do? Do you know what makes it absolutely perfect, too? I don't remember ONE BLOODY THING about that night. New Year's Eve. Someone must've spiked the punch, the bastards. I bet it was Fred and/or George. The last thing I remember from the party is drinking some punch, and then BAM, it's the next day. I woke up in an unfamiliar room, in an unfamiliar bed, naked. Spooky, to say the least.
It wasn't until about a week later, when I almost puked all over The Girl (I guess I should start calling her Mal) that things started to seem off. I didn't really think about New Year's until Mal lit up a f**. Now, I'm the one who got her into that (I know, I know, she was pregnant, pregnant women aren't supposed to smoke). I smoke occasionally; I like the smell and the nicotine rush. But on the 9th (was it the 9th? I think it was...), the smell of those cigs just made me sick. I asked Mal to stop, to put it out (okay, okay, I demanded. When do I ever ask?), but she thought I was messing with her. I can't blame the kid, I guess. So she kept smoking it, and I kept getting more and more nauseous, until finally I ran into the bathroom and threw up. Of course, I missed the toilet. I hope that's not an omen of what this pregnancy will be like!
Anyway, Mal stubbed out the cigarette after that. She came into the bathroom and asked me if I was feeling all right, but I brushed it off, telling her that I ate something that didn't agree with me, last night. Which is true, I guess. The neighbor's pet chicken didn't take kindly to being killed (though I was smart enough to kill it somewhere away from the house).
So I've been nauseous for the last three or so months, and it's really pissed me off. I've thrown up at random times of the day, for no apparent reason other than a smell or taste. Moreover, I've had these AWFUL cravings, where I can't stop thinking about the randomest foods that I would never eat! This past week it's been sardines, artichokes, and zucchini, with a little tomato on the side.
The problem with all the nausea is that I was also gaining weight, so I thought. At first, I had told Mal that it was the flu, just a bad case. When it lasted a few months, though, she started to get suspicious. I'd been wearing loose clothing to hide the fact that I was getting fatter. One morning, after I'd just finished throwing up, she was harping on me about how she could never go to the bathroom anymore, because I was always in it. SHE thought it was funny. Anyway, I just snapped. I yelled at her about how I didn't know what the hell was going on with me, because while I was throwing up constantly, I was gaining a LOT of weight. That stopped her right in her tracks.
The girl disappeared out the door, and I was wondering if she was going to go cry in her room, as per usual, when I heard the front door slam. I was curious about what she was doing, but I went back to cleaning myself and the bathroom up. Fifteen minutes or so later, I heard her come back in. By then I had moved into the living room, and was sitting on the couch, in front of the fireplace. Mal came up behind me and dropped a bag from the drug store in my lap, then told me to open it. It was a pregnancy test.
I took it, just to prove her wrong.
Betcha can't guess what it read. I waited the prescribed 10 minutes, then looked at the stupid stick (and how can a stick tell when you're pregnant, anyway). It had a positive sign. Apparently, my life was about to get worse by a whole lot. Ignorance is bloody bliss.
Right now, the biggest problem is that I don't know who the father is. I don't even want this bloody kid. I suppose it's my duty to keep it until I know who the father is, though (heh, fancy that, me actually having obligations to anyone). I have my suspicions about who it is. I just don't know for sure, and Mal isn't sure she wants to talk to me yet about what she knows. I guess I'll have to be nice to her until I find out. Oh well, I'm prepared to make sacrifices for a higher cause (finding the father and not-being-pregnant-anymore...can it be I'm afraid to write it? Terminate. Terminate the pregnancy. That just sounds so...cold. Unfeeling. Medical. One thing that I am not is cold. I'm a very passionate person, I'll have you myself know). Okay. I am going to stop writing, and then I'm going to go cry scream outside. I hate not being in control of the situation.

Participants Chester (Maliska B) Sphinx (Hitsuzen) Vincent (Hitsuzen) Fred & George (Hitsuzen) Dynast (Hitsuzen) Hitsuzen Vash (Inu-Mitsu) Sizer (Getsurei) Details This RP took place in Count D's Pet Shop, which is now closed. Sorry for the unrelated stuff, I just posted everything going on, since it was an open RP. So, if things are strangely random and/or out of place, I apologize. Finding Out Chester stormed into the shop, banging open the door hard enough for it to dent the wall. Her face was dark and eyes glaring so fiercely they were practically shooting sparks. This did not bode well for the person she was mad at, or anyone who got in her way. She cast her gaze around the shop, angrily gazing at every nook and cranny in her quest for her victim.
"WHERE IS HE?!" She shouted, disregarding the terrified animals that were now running away from her. The Count himself could yell at her, and she wouldn't care. All she wanted to do is grab Sphinx's masculine parts, squeeze them, and rip them from his body.
"Where is Sphinx?" She growled at the room in general, her eyes narrowed angrily.
Unfortunately, as though on cue, Sphinx reached for the door handle only a few minutes after. As he pushed it open, he quickly withdrew his hand as the door gave a rather loud cracking sound. "Who broke the door?" He questioned, appearing confused. He looked up from the damaged door, and into the shop.
He felt himself go tense, as he made eye contact with Chester. Angry was not the proper term for the look in her eyes, and he wasn't about to find out why she was looking at him in such a way. Looking horrified, he quickly made to flee back up the stairway. Only to fail, as his escape route was blocked by four other bodies. "Out of my way, I'm not going in there!" He barked.
"Stop whining, lions are supposed to be brave, aren't they?" Fred muttered, giving Sphinx a shove.
Scrambling to keep from falling backward into the shop, Sphinx yelped out when he found himself only a few feet from his 'enemy' at this point. Dammit, I haven't even done anything yet! He thought fearfully, and made a mental note to pound Fred at the next available moment.
Chester had turned around as soon as she heard the slightest sound on the other side of the door. The eye contact she made promised Sphinx that he'd be a dead man as soon as she got his hands on him. She felt her anger bubble and expand from her stomach to reside, white-hot, directly under her skin. Her face flushed an unbecoming shade of red, and her eyes narrowed to slits. Too angry to be even slightly amused at Sphinx's cowardice, she cracked her knuckles and advanced on the unfortunate lion.
"Sphinx," she growled, "do you know what you have done?" Her hands clenched into fists, and she shifted as if to punch him. She swung, her fist colliding solidly with his jaw. Before he even finished reacting, she had grabbed him by the neck and slammed him against the wall, hard enough to stun him without breaking bones. Pinning him there, doing her best to ignore his wildly flailing arms and legs, she brought her face close to his. She looked as if she was going to tell him something.
Standing unmoving as Chester advanced, Sphinx only managed to flinch when she drew back a fist. Shock enough was walking in on her like this, and even though he'd had the feeling that she had the intentions to cause physical harm, he was not prepared to take a punch in the face. Jerking his head back to look at her, he winced, bringing a hand to his jaw. "What was th-!?"
He was quickly cut short as she grabbed hold of him, flailing for a second before he was thrust hard against the wall. What was she so pissed off about!? He gave a gasp, staring at her wide-eyed for several seconds before responding. When he did, his fearful expression managed to change to one of anger as well. "What!? I'm minding my own business!" He shouted, attempting to take hold of her arm and pry it away from him. "I haven't done anything to you!" He added, jerking his head to one side as she leaned in closer, raising a foot to whatever he could press against to try and force her away.
Hitsuzen and her remaining three pets had entered after Sphinx, and apparently only Hitsu seemed at all concerned about what was happening. "What on earth!?" She shouted, looking rather frightened by Chester's violent behavior. Though, she stepped backward from them a bit. She was smart enough to stay out of the way, especially if both of them ended up angry. Eyeing the both of them in a mixture of confusion and concern, she sighed.
"Blimey! He's gone and crossed her, hasn't he?" George chuckled, plopping down onto the sofa. Clearly amused, he didn't seem to care in the least for the health of the feline.
"Yeah, did you see that hit?" Fred laughed, "Don't think I've seen a woman pack a punch like that..." He lowered his voice, "Never seen a woman like her to begin with, come to think of it, but that's beside the point..."
Vincent simply took one of the vacant armchairs, giving the laughing twins an irritated look. With Chester in a mood like that, remarks against her weren't the most intelligent of things. He looked from Hitsuzen to the 'fight' between Chester and Sphinx, unusually curious.
Moments later Vash found his way descending the stairs to the shop, Inu catching a ride on his back, completely out of it. Vash had paused for a moment catching the fight that had ensued amongst Chester and Sphinx, or what he assumed was a fight, and looked over his shoulder at InuMitsu. She was still asleep. In the short time he had know her, he found out rather quickly that when she slept.... She slept.
Continuing on down the stairs, Vash made his way pasted Chester and Sphinx in the most careful and quietest way possible, a nervous expression on his face the entire time. Once free from any danger he enters the shop with a sort of victorious look on his features.
Sizer slowly walked out of the back. She seemed out of character. She was not petting her box, nor was she humming her song. She was silent as death. Sizer sat in a large chair in the corner, observing everyone. Lightly setting her scythe against the wall, she sighed and turned her attention back to the commotion.
Fred looked up as Vash stepped through the door, and gestured toward Chester and Sphinx. "Oi! Mind those two." Perhaps a friendly suggestion, or simply his way of trying to bring more attention to them. Hard to tell.
"Don't get too close, else you might be dodging some punches." George added, wearing an amused smirk. "Best to watch at a safe distance, mate." He grinned, and pointed toward the empty chair to one side of he sofa. "Just might see something good!"
"Lord..." Vincent sighed, rubbing a temple a bit with his fingertips. Only a moment later he heard someone emerge from the back, and turned slightly in his chair to glimpse who it was. Was it a good thing to see someone with a scythe at a time like this? He wasn't sure if he wanted to know.
"I'm pregnant, you little piece of s**t." Chester growled at him, then grunted as his clawed foot made contact with the muscle right above her knee. Releasing him unceremoniously, she stepped back as her leg buckled and she fell to her knees. Her vision narrowed to just the boy, rendering her incapable of noticing anyone else in the room. She hissed, clutching the bleeding wound. "You'll pay for that," she promised, reaching down to grab his ear and give it a jerk.
"I'll keep that in mind," Vash smiled as he walked over to the chair that George had gestured at and deposited Inu who was very much still asleep dispite all the noise. Standing up straight again he dusted himself off before sitting down himself. "So what's going on exactly?" Vash gestured his thumb in Chester and Sphinx's direction, but didn't really direct the question at anyone in particular.
Sizer stretched her large red wings out. She pulled off her helmet and set it on the floor. Her hands ran through her long golden hair and then pulled it all over one shoulder. She noticed the glance from the man in red, with the coal black hair. Her red eyes looked him over, he wasn't a threat.
The commotion was starting to get annoying. Sizer almost wanted to cut up the annoyances, but she had enough self restraint not to. Instead, Sizer shot a stare so cold at them that it could make the sun freeze in that instant. "Lucky I'm not in the mood to hurt anybody," she muttered.
A victorious smirk crossed Sphinx's lips as he felt his claws scrape against her thigh, only temporary. Shortly, he was yelling at her again. "So what!? What's that got to do with me!?" He squirmed, "Not my fault that you're a sl-...Agh!" Cut off, yet again, as he dropped to the floor. As usual, he didn't land as easily as most felines would be expected. He reached up to rub at his throat a bit, wincing as he situated himself to stand.
Before he could barely raise from his own knees, she'd grabbed hold of him again. This time, it really hurt. "OW!" He barked, immediately grabbing for her wrist with one hand, as he tried to balance against her tugging with the other against the wall. His footing was awkward, and he was still leaning rather far toward the floor, as he tried to plant his feet well enough to keep her from pulling him off balance. Apparently, he failed to think before he barked in reply to her threat. "Kiss my a**, woman! Leave me alone!" All he wanted was to keep his ear!
The display was met my muffled laughter from the twins, who had quickly clamped hands over their mouths to keep it all from bursting out. "Sphinx..." Fred started several seconds later, trying to will himself to keep from laughing. God, how he didn't want that feline to turn her attention his way.
"She's going to bloody him up from the looks of it..." George chuckled, pointing toward the two, red-faced from his laughter. "Not sure why, yet." They'd missed it, as Chester had growled in such a low tone to Sphinx, that only Sphinx himself had heard her.
Vincent did his best to ignore the two boys, instead he simply shook his head as he looked back to the argument. "Best to leave them be." He said, addressing the quiet statement made by Sizer. "Their business." He added, though he honestly doubted that anyone other than himself thought so.
It was then that Hitsu had finally strayed away from them, apparently with an itch in her right ear. Standing so close, she swore she'd heard something that sounded like 'pregnant' come out of Chester's mouth, but that couldn't have been the case. "Uhm..." She muttered, sounding a bit nervous. "Maybe I'll just..." She trailed off a bit, and took a seat on the sofa in what space was not taken over by Fred and George. She looked worried, but how would she break up the two of them?
Chester's eyes narrowed, and she leaned forward and spat, aiming in Sphinx's general direction "Did you just call me a slut, you shithead?" She left the first question unanswered, for the moment. The cat-woman seemed to be debating between punching Sphinx and jerking his ear, as first the free hand, then the hand holding his ear, twitched. After a moment, she chose the second course of action, giving his ear a jerk. She winced as his fingers closed around her wrist, tight enough to bruise, and leaned backwards, pulling him away from the wall in an effort to prevent him from getting his footing back. She pulled steadily, making a beeline for the curtain that shielded the back of the shop. They could talk in private, there. Purposefully misunderstanding Sphinx's statement, she allowed herself a tiny smirk. "Kick your a** and then leave you alone? Why, I think I might almost agree to that!"
Lucky for Sphinx, even though her aim wasn't exactly off, she ended up spitting upon his headdress instead of his face. Her grip on his ear, and her shouting got him a bit nervous again. "Uhm, slut? No... I meant to say... Uhm..." A short pause, "Sl... Slen.. Slender beauty! See? No reason to b***h at me!" His lie was apparently ignored, and he yelped with her jerk on his ear.
"Damnit, are you trying to rip it off!?" He barked, nearly tumbling sideways. He managed to keep from falling on the way to the curtain, but he stumbled with her tugging rather awkwardly. "That is not what I said!" He could be heard shouting as they vanished behind the curtain.
"Yes," Chester growled, "I would like to rip your ear off. I know what you meant to say, too." Letting go of his ear, and shoving his back, Chester herded the unfortunate Sphinx into an empty side room. The room, unfortunately, had a beaded curtain instead of a door, so Chester couldn't slam it shut. She made do with spreading out against the doorframe behind Sphinx, blocking it with her general bulk. "What do you remember of New Years' Eve?" Chester asked, her eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Tell me everything you remember, from the time you got to the masquerade, all the way to the next morning."
Once he'd finally been released, Sphinx stumbled to keep from falling face first into the room she'd shoved him into. He wheeled around quickly, glaring at her as he put a hand to his throbbing ear. "Yeah!? Well, you deserve it, I didn't do anything to you!" He grumbled, ribbing his fingertips along the edge of his ear, and drawing it away to check for blood. Finding none, he seemed remotely satisfied, and left it be from there. Continuing to stare in her direction with his hateful expression, he shrugged lightly. "What's it to you?" He went silent a moment, as though to say no more, but finally spoke up again. "I just remember Mistress Hitsu getting a big room with tables, talking something about a party..."
What could it hurt to tell her? She'd probably try and beat on him again if he didn't say anything at all, so it'd hurt more not to. Thinking back, his gaze trailed to various areas of the room, looking at nothing in particular. "And she gave me some bottle, with stuff in it that tasted strange." A pause, he really didn't recall the entire night, now that he thought about it. "Drank some of it..." All of it. "After that..." He blinked, shot another glare at her, and then shouted. "You hit me! What was that all about!?" Honestly, he couldn't remember much beyond that. Not to mention that his vision wasn't the most reliable, and he was only halfway convinced that it was her who slapped him. Of course, he was ready to pin the blame on her.
"I hit you because your brain is slow. I poured water on you first, and when your slow, stupid brain didn't respond within the first five seconds, I slapped you to wake you up. You were drawing a scene, people were wondering what the heck a passed out anthro was doing on the floor at the New Year's Masquerade." This still didn't answer Chester's question of what happened after. "But that's not the point. Do you remember anything, anything at all, that happened after you woke up? I saw you get your head dunked in the punch bowl-" the last two words were emphasized clearly, with not a just a hint of scorn injected into them- "and I saw you pass out, and I woke you up...Okay, slapped you, you wuss...and that's it. I can't remember anything clearly after that, save taking a cupful of punch."
Sphinx was silent for several moments, working to try and remember what Chester had just described to him. He didn't remember falling into the punch bowl, and he didn't remember her throwing water in his face. He didn't remember passing out at all. He really didn't like this, being incapable of recalling what had happened to him. He blinked a couple of times when he looked up at her again. For once, he seemed to ignore her rude statements. His main concern right now was to figure out why she was hounding him so much, and why she was so intent on knowing what he'd done at that party. "No, I can't remember anything..." There was a long pause. "Why?"
Fred drew his attention from their conversation long enough to attempt to brief those in the room behind him. Gesturing towards the hallway with a finger to suggest he was regarding Sphinx and Chester, he then brought the hand to his mouth. Imitating what appeared to be someone drinking, before swaying his body about in a strange manner. One would figure that it would have been much easier for him to have simply said, or lipped, 'drunk' before performing such a display of immaturity.
George, however, seemed to find it amusing. "New Years?" He hissed, trying to remain as quiet as possible, while still being heard by his brother. Left to assume, since Sphinx was clearly not drunk, he didn't know about Chester.
Fred nodded, and put a finger to his lips against before returning his attention to the private conversation.
"Because, like I said, I'm pregnant. You were the only male I had any interaction with at the party, and Mal - yes, the girl who puked on you - said she saw us leave together. She got to the party shortly after I did - told me no way was she missing another event because she was sick - and apparently we passed her, and I quote 'staggering out the door'." It disturbed Chester to find out that neither she nor Sphinx had any recollection of that night. She couldn't figure out just how she'd gotten hammered enough to forget everything that happened. Especially with Sphinx. Ew.
After seeing the earlier scene unfold Vash figured it was about time that he might need to step in and try to usher Fred away from the door he was standing at. Chester and Sphinx had been in the back a fairly long time and there was no telling when they were going to emerge, and Fred would be much safer not caught by the door eavesdropping.
So standing to his feet, Vash took a few long strides toward the door in hopes to convince Fred to move along. "Hey there, standing by the door might not be the best of ideas. I'm not sure how kind those two would be if they found you here."
"Wait a second..." Sphinx demanded, staring at her. He looked worried now, there was no doubt. He couldn't care much less than Chester had gotten herself into trouble, he had found it amusing at first. Though, with the way she was talking, was she really suggesting that he had something to do with it? A moment later, his eyes went wide, and his face seemed to pale.
"A-are you saying that we...? No!" He spat, "I think I would have remembered something like that!" He shook his head wildly, "Maybe Mal was drunk, I'd never go anywhere with you!" He shuddered lightly, "Or..." He grimaced. "Ugh..."
Fred stood upright at this, and turned to look at his brother again. Instead of looking amused this time, he looked a tad concerned. For the two hiding from them? Not at all. His concern was for something else, namely the health of he and his twin. That is, if either of them figured out just how the alcohol had ended up in the punch.
George was obviously clueless, and he gave a shrug, suggesting such. He gave him a questioning glance, waiting for some sort of explanation.
Offering a nervous grin, Fred pointed to himself. Then, he pointed to George, and brought a hand to his throat. Drawing a line across it with his thumb, it was suggested that he thought they were in for it.
"What?" Hitsuzen questioned, looking from one to the other. "Is he alright?" She asked quickly after, thinking that perhaps something had happened to Sphinx, rather than reading Fred's silent actions properly. God only knew with those two to begin with.
"Quiet!" George hissed, as Hitsu's last question had come out a bit loudly.
Fred leaned toward the hallway again for a moment, checking to see if there was anything more being said. He jumped lightly when Vash walked up behind him and spoke, startled. He wheeled around and shot a glare at him. What if they heard him? Not risking to find the answer, Fred quickly released the curtain and darted past Vash. He was determined to make it look like he hadn't been standing there at all.
Staring at the curtain anxiously, Hitsuzen hoped that her pet was not going to emerge battered and bloody. Biting her lower lip a bit, she tried to will herself to not worry. Of course, a failed attempt. Chester was bigger than he was, and most likely at least a bit stronger, regardless of Hitsu's determination to never let Sphinx in on that thought. For a moment, she glanced toward her pets in the room with her.
Hitsu smirked a bit, Vincent seemed to be napping in his chair, or at least doing his best to relax in the current silence that seemed to accompany Sphinx's absence. The twins were apparently still waiting for someone to come flying through the curtain in a rage, since they seemed to be whispering to each other so franticly, working over false details of what they had been doing since Sphinx and Chester had left the entrance room.
Once she'd returned her gaze to the curtain, her body gave a jolt. Said curtain had been pulled to one side just barely, and in this gap between the fabric and the frame someone was peering out. Only a small bit of one side of the face was visible, and one pale gray eye, with black hairs falling carelessly over the vision in places.
Before she could react in fear fully, the curtain had fallen back into place. Hitsuzen gave a deep sigh, leaning her head against he back of the sofa. Maybe things were playing tricks on her, maybe she was seeing things. Oh, how she hoped so. Eyes slipped shut for a moment, as the curtain shifted lightly. As though caught in a short breeze, before settling still as though nothing had been there at all.
"Hitsu-Chan?" Came a whisper from behind her, and the one who'd spoken smirked darkly. It was the man that had been behind the curtain seconds before, who seemed to have simply appeared where he stood without warning, or footwork.
Eyes shot open, and she was to her feet in an instant. The near silence of the room was quickly shattered as Hitsu wheeled around to see him. For a moment, it seemed that she would only stare at him. But then, she screamed. Apparently, she was not at all happy to see him. Terrified, that would be a better description.
Chester growled, her impatience rising. "Don't you think I'd remember something like that? And of course you can't remember it, you were so drunk you passed out before I even got there! There's a point in time when you've drunk a certain amount of booze, and after that it's impossible to remember anything. Someone must have spiked the punch, and slipped a lot of alcohol into it, because that's the only thing I drank that night." Chester slipped into the room, leaving the doorframe vacated. She was pretty sure that Sphinx wouldn't be running at this point. "And I'd want to remember something like that ? I could get in a buttload of trouble for screwing you. It's probably statutory rape, considering you don't look older than 17, and I am most certainly at least four years older than you."
Chester obviously had something crazy up her sleeve, for she was circling around Sphinx like an animal about to pounce on its prey. "Sorry to disappoint you, Sphinx, but Mal doesn't drink. It's doctor's orders, and she hates alcohol anyway. Says the taste makes her sick." Chester rolled her eyes at this obvious foolishness, and edged even closer to Sphinx. In what must have been a side effect of her hormonal upswing, she stripped off her shirt, revealing a sports bra with what was a-little-too-much-cleavage-for-anyone's-sanity. She dropped her skirt next, though thankfully she was wearing black spandex tights, whose edges disappeared under her combat boots. "Face it, Sphinx. This ?" Chester threw her arms out to the side, unaware of the frightening picture that her tattoo-covered body cut ?"Is what you screwed on New Year's Eve, and now you have to pay the price for ?"
Whatever Chester was going to say next was cut off by a loud scream, Hitsuzen's scream. Chester rushed out the door, not wanting to miss a crisis, and plowed right into Vash. Suddenly, she remembered that she was nearly naked, and in a bit of unprecedented embarrassment, blushed. She couldn't move, rooted the floor by embarrassment. Why couldn't she move? She mentally tugged on her feet as the rest of her mortified brain stuttered to a halt. The blush spread down her face and her neck, and probably would have kept going if she hadn't suddenly regained motor function and dashed back into the room she had just occupied. "What were you doing?" she shouted at Vash, wanting to slap him. Quickly, she scrambled back into her clothes, totally ignoring Sphinx. She reemerged and grabbed for Vash's hair. "Were you listening at doorframes, you nasty pervert?"
Having not really being paying attention to the on goings behind him, Vash only managed to get up ended as Chester came storming through the door and plowed into him. Landing delicately on his face Vash scrambled to turn around only to face Chester in time to see the furious blush fall over her upper half. Her lack of clothing brought somewhat of a blush on Vash?s face and he certainly wasn?t sure what to do at this point, however, when Chester started to yell it all became clear that he was getting the blame for what Fred had just been doing.
?What was I?? I didn?t?.I wasn?t?? Vash paused when Chester vanished back the way she came and got to his feet quickly. When Chester reemerged from the room she had been in and made a dashing grab for Vash?s hair his only instinct at that point was to dodge as he flailed his way across the room. ?I wasn?t listening I swear! I have no idea what was going on! He can tell you!? Vash stopped at what he considered to be a safe point in the room and pointed in Fred?s direction. The look on his face could be nothing short of distress as he passed a pleading looking in Fred?s direction for him to tell the truth.
"I wish I were dreaming..." Sphinx muttered to himself, backing farther into the room as Chester approached him. Was she going to come in and try to beat him to death? He was afraid so, at least temporarily. He eyed her cautiously as she circled him, positioning himself awkwardly in order to have her in view especially when she passed behind him. He didn't dare move otherwise.
Though, as things always seemed to be the case for him, he just couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Statutory rape? Afraid not. Unfortunate for me, though. If it had been, at least I could have gotten you away from me for quite awhile!" Most insults toward her would have been accompanied by a proud smirk, but he was too nervous for that at this point. Honestly, he wished that he had been younger.
He leaned away a bit as she brought herself closer to him, and in fact nearly toppled over when she stripped herself of his shirt. "What the!?" He barked, jerking his head toward the door. Both in an attempt to look away, and in desperately seeking an escape route. Before Chester could fully finish her sentence, he'd dashed for the door, apparently running for his life. Bursting through the curtain, he veered to one side just in time to barely dodge Vash's body. It was then that Hitsuzen had screamed, and Sphinx took a delayed notice of a person in the room who had not been there previously.
"Oh my, still as skittish as ever, I see." Dynast was stating, the devilish grin upon his face showing his amusement, despite the concerned tone that he had tried so hard to hold. "Your ignominious reactions never cease to entertain me, Hitsu-Chan."
Hitsu only stared at him fearfully, only emitting a whimper at his words. What could she say? Mentally, she tried to remind herself of what she'd been told. It's not really him, it just looks like him... And acts like him... And... So far, appears exactly like him...
"Who the hell are you?" Sphinx had snapped at Dynast, only to practically leap further into the entrance room a moment later as Chester collided with the unsuspecting Vash. He proceeded to attempt hiding behind the armchair that InuMitsu seemed to be snoozing in, "Put some clothes on, woman!" After he'd shouted, he peered around one side of the chair to see her retreating into the back again. For that, he was thankful.
The twins exchanged questioning looks a moment, for the first time in a long time they weren't quite sure if they should be amused or disturbed by the things that had just happened. Amusement probably would have been acceptable, if it weren't for the fact that Sphinx had just run for his life from a half-clothed Chester. That was just a bit awkward to see, and it took a few seconds longer for them to react properly as soon as Chester had appeared again.
"Uhm... What's that?" Fred had asked Vash, looking shocked. Perhaps not entirely a fake expression. "I don't know what you're talking about, mate. Been sitting here the whole time. Right, George?"
"Sure has, without a doubt." George replied, forcing a grin towards the two in the doorway.
Chester abandoned Vash for Sphinx once more, glaring at him bitterly. She could easily see him behind the chair. "You're a fine one to talk. You always go about half-naked, with your high-and-mighty stupid-looking headdress and that stupid red makeup all over your face. You try putting some clothes on sometime, shrimp!"
Oh dear, Chester really was desperate, resorting to name calling once again. Two spots of color burned high on her cheeks, and she glared around the room frantically, before storming up to the door.
"Whether it was you or those two freaks over there at the door, the point was that you heard something you weren't supposed to." She spat at Vash. "You'd do well to forget it."
With one last glare in Fred and George's direction, Chester turned her back and slammed the door, whipping her tail out of the way just in time.
At first, there was no reply from him. Apparently still shaken by his unwanted news, and the visual of her that had him mentally telling himself to gouge his own eyes out. By the time Sphinx had finally risen, and lifted a hand to point a finger at Chester accusingly, she had turned on Vash. He barely had time to open his mouth before she had gone, and he glared at the slamming door, dismissing the loud crack that accompanied it. He was certainly not going to be blamed for breaking that door, she'd done it herself. "How dare she say something like that about me!" He barked, "I'm a man and I wear more clothing than her!" He clenched his fists, looking thoroughly offended. "And what the hell is wrong with my face paint!?"

Why do these things happen to me? Seriously, does Ra hate me or something? Send me locusts, send me plagues, send me fire and brimstone falling from the sky. Not this. Anything but this. Honestly, I'd rather die than be in this position. I'm not even sure that Chester's even right about this. In fact, I'm going to say that she's completely out of her damn mind. I mean, look at her! She's… Ugh! No words can describe the beast that calls herself Chester. Why would anyone think that I'd actually mate with her?
I don't even remember New Year's. Well, aside from about the first few minutes or so. Hitsuzen gave me some nasty tasting drink, which I was stupid enough to consume. It warmed me up, so I guess that's one reason why I decided to continue drinking it. Things started to go a bit fuzzy after awhile, last thing I really remember is Hitsu's friend Nami walking over to my table to talk to me. I can’t even remember what words were exchanged, really. Next thing I know, I've got this aching pain in my head, and Chester is kneeling over me. How I got across the room, let alone on the floor, I couldn't recall. Nor can I recall anything past that, at least not until the next morning. From what I've been informed, I was highly intoxicated. Honestly, I would have liked to know the side effects of what I was given to drink. Thanks a lot, Hitsu. I blame you for most of this.
I woke up in my own bed, which didn't bother me too much. It made me a bit confused though, considering that I hadn't remembered coming home. Hitsuzen seemed unusually skittish, and wouldn't tell me why even when I yelled at her. Fred and George, who seemed to make it their life's goal to harass me every waking moment, also seemed scarce. Instead of reading much into it, I just thanked Ra for the peace, and never expected the news that I got several weeks later. Never. Every time I replay the events in my mind, the sicker I feel.
Hitsuzen had taken all of us back to Count D's for one of our regular visits, something required even though I honestly couldn't care less if I set foot back into the place at this point or not. I swear, every time we go in there, Hitsu walks out with something else. Anyway, the first thing I noticed when we reached the shop was the broken door. Then, I could smell Chester. Not only that it was her, but the fact that she was really pissed off. I could sense it, and I just knew that I didn't want to be there. I tried to run, because even when she’s in a good mood she makes me miserable, but one of those damn redheads shoved me through the door.
Sure enough, she caught up to me sooner than I could get away, and hauled off and punched me in the face! I hadn't, to my knowledge, done anything to deserve that. Though, she hissed to me that she was pregnant a little while later, as she held me by the throat against one of the shop's walls. To my disapproval, I ended up getting dragged into one of the back rooms, where she went into explanations of how the unborn child was mine. I told her that this was impossible, yet neither of us could seem to remember exactly what happened between the end of the New Years party and the next morning.
Once I'd gotten away from her, and she finally took her leave from the shop, I still couldn't think. Bickering everywhere, including me getting yelled at by Hitsu. That was rare, and it made me wonder just why my luck had been headed in such a horrible direction as of late. Once we got home, I tried my hardest to remember what I'd done that night, and couldn’t recall much of anything. It frustrated me, and even scared me a bit. I didn't want to think she was right, and I’m still sticking to disagreeing, but why couldn't we remember?
Vincent, whom I've been forced to share a room with, offered advice that I wish he would have kept to himself. Apparently he knew how much I was stressing about it. He told me that a real man would deal with his own mistakes, and not run away from them like a coward. I really wanted to snap back at him for that remark, but I knew he was right. I'd never tell him that, but I knew that he was right. At the least, once Chester had the kid everyone would know if it was mine or not. If it didn't look anything like me, then I’d be free from her. Then, I could rub it in her face. She'd finally be proven wrong about something, and I'd be the one with the last laugh.
I guess she's going to be due in a couple of months, give or take, since she shouldn’t be carrying a child for a full nine months as a human would. Unfortunately, this has Mal and Hitsu frantic about what's going to be done about the situation. More than once, I've stumbled across Hitsu talking on the phone. Apparently with Mal, as the words "bigger house" have crossed her lips more than once during these conversations. Do they want all of us to move in together? Ridiculous! As if it isn't bad enough that I have to live with Hitsu’s other pets from the Count's shop, now it looks like I'll have to be in the same house as Chester.
Just great. Someone kill me now, before Chester does.

Participants Hitsuzen Sphinx Maliska Chester Details This RP took place over PM. Hitsu and Sphinx meet up with Mal and Chester to discuss just what to do about the child to be born. Hitsuzen "Well, I think this is it..." Hitsu stated, in a tone that might have been a bit too cheery considering the circumstances. Taking one last glance at the small slip of paper held in one hand, and back to the numbers nailed above the mailbox beside the door. At least, she assumed that this was house number 386, because to her it looked as though the 6 had merely come loose and fallen into a misleading 9. "What a dump." Sphinx snorted from over his keeper's shoulder, sneering from his left to right. This wasn't exactly the cleanest of neighborhoods, that was for sure. Humans had a name for these areas of town, though what that was he could not recall. "Can we..." A pause, then a light groan. "Go inside or something?" He muttered, brushing past Hitsu to scale the three crumbling cement steps that led to the porch. "The public eye doesn't like me too well, remember?"Hitsu glared at her pet as he walked past, hissing at him as though afraid that someone might hear. Not that she would be the one paying for it, as Sphinx was the one with the attitude problem. "Don't be so rude! Not everyone can afford a mansion or temple, Sphinx. You just happen to be lucky that you've got what you do." She knew that he was annoyed about the entire situation, and undoubtedly nervous about being taken to the place where Chester would have 'more of an advantage' over him, as he had put it. "You'll be fine... Just, don't let her corner you anywhere." She sighed as she stepped up next to him and rang the bell. Another snort on Sphinx's part, "Lucky? Is that what you call it?" Sharing a house with Hitsu would have been fine by him, and that's what he had originally assumed to be the case. In time, however, he found himself reluctantly sharing space with five other males. Males who were all irritating in their own ways, and he didn't hold much liking toward a single one. Correction. He loathed the lot of them.Rolling her eyes, Hitsu decided to try knocking gently on the door. Apparently the doorbell was broken. "You've got bigger things to worry about right now..." She commented, intentionally neglecting to face him as she did so. Knowing his view on the subject, he was likely to be glaring at her, appearing as though he was attempting to mentally cause her to burst into flame. Maliska B Mal had been waiting nervously on the other side of the door for the last ten minutes. Chester was in the kitchen/dining room/living room area, which was separated from the rest of the house by a Japanese-style paper partition, dressed in a thin purple silk robe that did nothing to hide her protruding stomach or swollen breasts, lazily flicking a lit cigarette between her fingers and inhaling the smoke.
When Mal heard the knock (for the doorbell was indeed broken), she yanked the door open almost immediately, plastering a huge and cheesy smile on her face. "Hi, both of you!" She piped, opening the door wider to allow them both in. "Come on in, Chester's in the living room." After ushering them through the splintering door, she shut it with a gentle click and sagged against it for a moment to gather her strength before getting up and leading them around the partition with a gesture.
Chester flicked her gold eyes up to Sphinx's for a moment before returning them to the book she had lying on her stomach, completely disregarding Hitsuzen and the anxious Mal. "He's here, too," she commented to Mal, barely veiling the underlying threat. Her book was titled The Single Mother's Survival Guide. "Why is he here?"
Mal ran her fingers through her hair, looking harassed and guilty. She clearly hadn't told Chester what she was going to do. A glance from Sphinx to Chester to Hitsuzen prompted the reflection that asking Hitsuzen to bring Sphinx along had not been such a good idea. "I thought that it might be a good idea for you to be exposed to each other under—" She trailed off, but the thought 'under control' lingered in the air. The tension thickened palpably. A quick glance around the room provided no relief, and the fingers combing through her hair quickened.
Chester gritted her teeth as Mal's fingers chased each other through her hair. The sound was obnoxious, and Chester was tempted to grab Mal's hand just to get her to stop. "I told you there was no reason for us to see each other. He got me into this mess and there's nothing he could do but muck it up more. He's just lucky I didn't bring him to court for rape, date or otherwise." The chair grated on the scuffed linoleum flooring as Chester stood up, glaring down at all of them. "If you need me, I'll be outside." She went out through the partition, then rounded the corner sharply. The coat stand wobbled precariously as she snatched her jacket off one of its branches and shoved her feet in some old, beat-up Ugg boots, juggling her cigarette all the while. Moments later, a door slammed from somewhere along the outer edge of the house.
The poor girl cleared her throat nervously, looking decidedly paler than before. "M-maybe you should go after her," she stammered to Sphinx. "Hitsu and I need to t-talk. Alone." If it was possible, Mal shrunk in size and stature even more after this statement, and her skin color was now the same dirty white as the linoleum. After a pause, a thought occurred to Mal. "I don't think she'll hurt you, this time." Although the statement was timid, it left no doubt that Mal didn't want Sphinx in the kitchen and privy to their discussion. She drew a chair out of Hitsu and then plunked herself down in the opposite one, waiting for Sphinx to leave. Hitsuzen Hitsu actually jumped back slightly when Mal jerked the door open, obviously a bit startled. "Oh!" She half yelped, before gathering herself. "Good evening!" She said quickly, vainly attempting to cover up how nervous she was. Stepping inside once Mal had requested it, she moved aside to allow Sphinx to cross the threshold as well. A glance toward Chester made her wince a bit, and before anyone had any chance to speak, Hitsu already knew that the tension in the room had just hit the roof.
Not keen on the fact that he'd locked gaze with Chester second after entering the house, Sphinx froze briefly. Adverting his gaze quickly, he clenched his jaw to resist growling. He did not want to be here. However, his attempt to keep his mouth shut was quickly becoming more and more difficult. As he had already expected, she was insulting him even before he'd been around for five minutes. He had completely ignored Mal, though he mentally wasn't very happy with the situation that the two women had so carelessly put him into. Didn't anyone think about this first?
With the last of her statements, namely on another threat of accusing him of rape, Sphinx had heard enough. "Hey!" He barked, finally gathering the nerve to glare at Chester as his anger began to rise. Before he could snap at her further, she'd rose from her chair and headed toward what Sphinx assumed was the back door. With a muffled growl he'd followed after her. He didn't wait for the suggestion that he should go outside as well. He was good and tired of her making a fool of him and constantly getting the last word. This time, he actually planned on standing his ground.
"Uhm..." Hitsu muttered, staring off in the direction that the two had just rush off in, looking a bit concerned as she heard a second slam of the door. "I hope he'll be alright..." She added, biting her lower lip a bit. When she did turn her attention to Mal again, she tried to force a smile. "Well, this isn't going to be as easy as I had hoped." Taking the seat that Mal had pulled out for her, she gave a sigh. "Something you wanted to say?"
Once Sphinx was outside, he took barely a few seconds to locate Chester. He looked angry, that much was certain, and quickly shouted at her. "I'm as pissed off about this as you are! They're forcing both of us to deal with it, so you might as well stop treating me like some sort of insect!" Then, a short pause, as he noticed the cigarette in her hand. "Are you stupid!? You're going to end up giving the thing brain damage before it's even born!" He had no idea if what he'd said were true or not, but it didn't take much thought to know that smoking wasn't healthy. Maliska B Mal gave her a wobbly smile, and collapsed into the chair across the table. "Yes," she muttered from between her hands, "exactly that. This isn't going to be easy...how the hell are we going to do it?" She shifted her chin to one hand as the other absently reached up and began to twirl (yank, really) at a lock of her hair. "Chester and Sphinx...if they're alone in the same room for more than five minutes, I get afraid something is going to spontaneously combust. But I assume since the..." She hesitated, evidently searching for words, "...baby...is part of your pet's blood, that you'll want to see it, so...maybe a custody arrangement?"
Chester's head snapped around as Sphinx stormed after her, her eyebrows lifting high enough to rival a clown's. This was her space, her personal space, and it had just been violated.
"But Sphinx," she drawled, deadpan, "you are an insect! A very potent one, I'll give you that, but..." she paused, and took a long drag on the cigarette for emphasis. "But you're the male praying mantis, and I'm the female mantis, in this situation. There's really nothing you can do to change me."
Satisfied she'd made her point, Chester tilted her head back against the wall and took a couple more drags on the cigarette to finish it. As she went, her fingernails scratched a dry 1-2-3 against the nubbly gray outside of the house, and she seemed to be focusing intensely on the clouds in the sky. Once done, the little stub was thrown on the ground and rubbed out with the toe of an Ugg, where it lay in a lackluster heap with many of its kind. After a long moment, she closed her eyes, as if the sight of the bright clouds were too much to bear.
"I don't want to deal," she finally said, and she seemed startled by the quiet confession coming out of her mouth. "As far as I'm concerned, this is your fault. I want this kid out of me, and then there's nothing Mal can to do make me take any responsibility. She's much too soft-hearted and wussy. I didn't have any life plans, but if I'd had some, this would have ruined them. I have to get away.
"Once all this is over, I'm thinking I'll leave Aekea. Maybe go live in Isle de Gambino, spend all day gambling, marry someone rich, be happy, kill him in his sleep, inherit his money. Rinse and repeat." A corner of her mouth curled up, and she ran a careful hand over her stomach, pleased with the decision she'd just made. "That sounds nice, doesn't it?" She directed the statement at her sky, but the words were for anyone present. This RP is Abandoned

Well... The little brat has been born. He's here, he's healthy and far too happy. The worst part? He looks just like me. There's no denying that he's mine. Fantastic. Now I'm stuck with him, and Chester will surely rub it in my face every moment she spies an opening. The very thought of the fact that I did indeed mate with Chester that many months ago makes me feel sick to my stomach. Her pain is supposed to be over, and I have the feeling mine is only destined to get much, much worse.
Someone in the house even snuck into my room before the kid barely had enough time to arrive and stole some of my paints, just to make his likeness more painfully obvious. Hitsu had the nerve to go on about how cute he was, too. I'll bet it was one of those damn redheads, or Yuki. I might try and strangle all three of them, just for good measure. Bastards. They have got to know that I'm angry enough about this as it is. I'll get them back for this someday, mark my words.
Hitsuzen has been trying to teach me how to bottle feed the little pest, and I really doubt that she has much of an idea of what she's doing either. Almost like she's scared to hold him, not that I don't feel about the same way. I've never had to take care of something so tiny and defenseless before. Oh, and I'll be really happy with he can support his own damned head. I keep getting yelled at when I forget to position my arm just perfectly! It's all so frustrating, and as much as I hate to admit it, scary too. How in the hell am I supposed to know what I'm doing?
I might have to pay this clinic a visit myself, maybe some of the other parents there can give me some tips. Hell, maybe even some of the children. I'm desperate.

It was four in the morning, and the silence of Sphinx's room had been interrupted by Amon's crying. Soft at first, and he'd initially tried to ignore it. A delusion that if the child didn't get an answer, he'd give up and go back to sleep. However, once the crying had risen in volume, the father had given a defeated groan and rose from his bed to tend to him. Rubbing his eyes of sleep, he retrieved Amon and held him against his chest, trying to ease his crying.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm here..." He murmured, "You're murder on my ears, Amon, mind toning it down a little?" Apparently not, as his crying continued. "You just don't want me to sleep, do you?" He sighed.
Then, came a voice from the doorway. "Is he alright?" It was Hitsu. Apparently, Amon had awakened her as well.
"Well, he doesn't need changing." Sphinx replied shortly, having just before made certain. "He's probably just hungry." He had figured such was true, but always dreaded going downstairs when he'd much rather sleep. "You want to feed him?"
Hitsu threw her arms up, and Sphinx took that as a clear answer. He frowned. "I thought you said you were going to help me?"
"I said I'd help you. You and I apparently have differing definitions of that word." She moved aside to allow him to leave the room, but still decided to follow him to the kitchen. "I don't see why you make this harder on yourself. All you have to do is take one of the spare rooms on the first fl-"
"Forget it." Sphinx interrupted. "I'm not sleeping down here. Not that close to him." A glance down the hall past the kitchen ephasized just whom; Dynast.
"If he finds his way out of the basement, I'm sure-" She started, only to be interrupted again.
"There is no if, Hitsuzen. There's a when." They'd reached their destination, and Sphinx had shifted Amon into the crook of one arm in order to prepare his bottle. The child's crying had eased a little, likely because he knew that being in the kitchen ultimately led to being fed.
"Yuki can take care of it." She protested, though, honestly even she didn't sound too confident in the statement.
Sphinx gave a short laugh, "Yuki lost my respect the day he left the key in the lock. Who just enchants a lock, anyway?"
"Oh, get off it, he's been smarter since then." Hitsu huffed. Fabrication or not, she had always been quick to defend Yuki. Most of the time, anyway. "Besides, you know that Dynast is stronger. Plus, the only thing he's doing down there is plotting escape... And probably planning out what he's going to do to all of us when he does." She grimaced a bit, recalling some of his past interactions with the household.
"Thanks for easing my mind." Heavy sarcasm, but there really wasn't much sense in trying to think it wasn't truth. The microwave gave a shrill beep, and Amon was eating quickly after a quick test of the formula's temperature. Sphinx certainly has few qualms with technology, he imagined that if he were still in that little shop in Chinatown he would have been warming a bottle right alongside Count D's teapot. Of course, one would hope that he wouldn't have been in the same situation had he never left. Oh well, it was far too late to wonder about the what ifs.
"I'll leave you to it, then." Hitsu said. She should have known by now that he'd be in a foul mood over such subjects, let alone with the addition of being awake at this hour. "See you in the morning." She waved lazily over her shoulder as she left the kitchen to go back upstairs.
"Already morning..." Sphinx muttered after her, not to be heard. He turned his attention back to Amon, and his expression softened a bit. He just wanted to be certain his child was safe, he knew she understood that. "I'll make sure you never have to meet him." Sphinx reassured, inwardly praying it would remain true.

Who the hell has ever heard of a single father? Something is very backwards here.
We haven't seen or heard from Chester or Mal in months. Typically, I would be counting my blessings here, but considering the situation I had hopes that Chester would at least be around to play the part of the mother. I guess Hitsuzen will have to do, she's the only woman in the household. I do feel bad for her, though. All of us to feed and tend to, and now there's a baby in the mix. She's mentioned getting a sitter once or twice, before I or someone else has kindly pointed out the fact that not quite everyone sees us as she does. It'd be our luck that some old hag would come in, and hurt the Mistress' feelings if all that they can see are feral animals wandering around. I don't think the resulting reaction would bode well at all. Vincent alone would probably give someone a massive heart attack.

Details This RP took place in the main GMFC thread. The RP is posted here from the beginning, Sphinx and Amon show up somewhere in the middle, and I will stop with their exit. Surion Rakamash It was mid day, the tall dark-blue and silver streak haired male walked through Barton, he was wearing a long very dark blue cloak , black trousers with a few belts on them, and his alchemy pendant, Also a loose white cotton shirt, he wore heavy boots, and a leather pouch on his hip. The area around him was much different then the male had grown used to over the past nearly a year, Faerun was nothing like this at all, Dragono had taught him how to plane-shift, and he'd told Surion where he'd come from, the boy could not remember any of this at all however. To anyone who knew Surion there was one very huge difference, to the naked eye his horns and tail were not visible, this was due to a ring he wore, a gift from Dragono when he first had arrived in Faerun. The other thing the boy had with him were two small dragons, one, leopard print and sitting on on shoulder talking in his mind, the other a deep blood red with black accents. Elliot Shimofuri Mid-day. Or rather morning for Elliot Shimofuri. He had a horrible habit of partying all night long and sleeping through most of the day. Noon was indeed early for him! The red headed boy reached up and ruffled his messy morning hair. He was wearing his favorite h.NAOTO chain pants along with a skull t-shirt that adorned a few skulls, belts, and chains. The rattling of chains followed him down the street." Man. What a bummer. " he said while glaring at the piece of paper in his hand. It was a a slip that said he needed to get his asthma inhaler refilled.
Once looking up from his slip he spotted him. And that cloak! It was so cool! Was that h.naoto? Was it Anarchy?! What brand was it?! He had to know ! " Excuse me..." He said to the mysterious stranger. " But....where did you get that amazing cloak?!" Surion Rakamash Someone talk to Senti's bonded, who this that talk to bonded... Boy talk to Surion The dragonette that spoke in his head chirps fast, but not so fast Surion wouldn't understand himSurion turns his head towards the voice "My cloak?" the male blinks "I got it in WaterDeep" he replies, theres a secretive edge to his voice. It had become a force of habit in the areas that Surion lived and travelled to keep much of things to himself and not share too much information, one never knew who was untrustworthy Elliot Shimofuri Elliot didn't have very many manners and picked up the edge of the cloak. " Oh this is very warm! " He nodded to him self and then finally started paying attention " WaterDeep? Is that some kind of department store?" He asked the older boy while tilting his head to the side. ' WaterDeep? WaterDeep? Have I heard of that before?' He though while letting go of the cloak. Surion Rakamash "WaterDeep is a city" Surion puts simply as he watches the boy, wondering what he was so interested in his cloak for, after all to Surion it didn't seem more then a comfortable, and protective garment that Surion just happened to like and it held a large number of it's own secrets. Senti on the other hand was a little more bold then Surion and skitters down the fabric using his claws in the fabric to stay on the cloak as he comes to a stop a few inches from the red-headed boy's hand What he want, what he want he chatters in Surion's mind though mostly ignored by Surion Elliot Shimofuri " Oh! " He said asking as if he knew where he meant. Elliot couldn't help he could feel he knew this guy. Somewhere inside him he knew he had met him before. " Hey, don't I kno-!!!" Elliot jumped back started mid-sentence when the little dragon thingy skittered towards him. " Oy!!! What a cool toy!!!" Surion Rakamash "Senti get back up here" Surion says quietly reaching down his cloak to snatch the dragonette and put it on his shoulder once more "Sorry... He's a little adventurous" He pushes his hair over his pointed ears, which made more of the boy's face visible, including the gem that the hair usually hid.Toy! Toy! Boy call Senti toy! The dragonette was almost never in his wooden state on the spear anymore and was shocked to hear someone call him a TOY!!"Senti be quiet" Surion tells the dragonette even though the only one who would hear the dragonette was him Elliot Shimofuri " But thats so cool. " He poked the little dragon's nose. He had never seen anything like it. Where did it come from? It was definitely made by the Japanese. Definitely! But changing the subject. the red headed boy jumped back startled, a horrified look washed over his face and he turned pale. With a shout he pointed at the boy. " YOU!!" Surion Rakamash "Me... uh what about me" one brow raises hearing the outburst. He didnt think he knew this person. He takes a single step back feeling a lil aprehensive at this pointAbout this time both dragons with surion stand up eying the boy watching for any signs that he may be a threat Elliot Shimofuri Elliot raised a brow. Maybe he was wrong. No he was sure it was Surion! How could he forget a rival! When he was younger he had the biggest crush on Tinania. But, she ended up with him! " Your Surion Rakamash right? S-so erm...how is Nani? You two still together....? " He asked shifting his glance side ways. Maybe if he was lucky they broke up or something. Maybe he could look her back up. 'Wait no thats crazy! Gah! I seem like a stalker if I did something like that!' He thought and ruffled his hair a bit frustrated. He was indeed a strange kid. Surion Rakamash "My name is Surion.... Yes... " he didn't know the last name Rakamash, that was one thing that still didn't come to his memory, and Dragono never had told him that name. "Nani? I am sorry I'm afraid I'm not sure who you are refering to" he scratches his forehead with a confused expression using his right hand, the two rings he wore were on that hand, one was the one he had which hid his features, the other, well Surion had no idea where the second one was from. It had a word on it, he didnt know what it meant either, but he'd not gotten rid of anything that he had had with him that day in the woods which he his mother and Dragono had taken to town with them. Elliot Shimofuri " Wow..." He looked awe struck. Maybe the break up was so bad he was in shock. Or the break up was so bad that he pretended that he couldn't remeber her. How cruel he thought as his mind continued to jump to conclusions. But the glint of his ring caught his eyes. " Then why do you still wear that? Didn't Tinania give that to you? " Surion Rakamash "Tinania...." Surion pauses, that word... name? he knew he turns his hand over looking at the ring, his expression of pure confussion that couldn't be faked "Tinania.. thats a person?" he looked at the ring again, he never had figured out the meaning "I am sorry, I only came to this place a couple hours ago, Dragono told me I came from here, but honestly I dont know any of this place" Krista_Darkangel_Silme It was the first time since Lucas them for his trip, that she was actually allowed to leave Free Haven. So where did the young fairy decide to head, none other the place where she spent most of her time when she was first born. She figure it would be a good place to get some info on raising a child. Stepping into the clinic, Tinania's wings folded behind her as she carried a huddle dragon boy in her arms. Her messager bag slung over her other shoulder. With a smile, she chuckles as the little dragon boy reaches for her bonytail " Seiji, you can't pull on mommy's hair." she didn't seem to pay attention to anyone around her as she makes her way towards the desk. Seiji giggles as he glances around. His small wings were pinned back against his back due to the blanket wrapped around his body. His thick blue hair cover his golden eyes alittle. His small blue dragon light claws however kept reaching for the blond strands that seem just out of reach. Setting her bag down, Tinania push her hair over her shoulder as she looks over the diffrent books. Although she had babysit before, this was different. Propping Seiji up, so he could look over her shoulder he let out a little noise. HIs eyes taking in the place around him. It was nothing like Free Haven, that much was for sure. Surion Rakamash Surion looks around him he was looking for familiarities, ANYTHING he might remember, so far he saw none. He looked from building to building, eventually seeing what looked like a medical facility, he'd witnessed several different techniques in healing, and was curious what this place practised and so wanders inside, his ring still on thus hiding his tail and horns. He look around seeing many chairs, but very few people. Elliot Shimofuri Elliot straightened up. Looking at the guy. Maybe he really didn't remember her. " Well" He said following the boy as he suddenly stood up and started towards the old clinic. It was exactly where he was headed before he got side tracked. " Well " He piped up after a moment of silence. " Do you remember this place?" Krista_Darkangel_Silme Moving over to the couch, Tinania sets Seiji down on it next to her. Shaking her head she leans down brushing a kiss to the young fragon boy's forehead " Your a hyper one aren't you? Think you can sit there just for a few minutes as mommy looks over this book for a moment." when Seiji does nothing but blink at her, then giggle she laughs. She knew this was going to be a crazy visit. Within minutes of saying what she did Seiji sure enough tried to get himself off the couch. Only to have Tinania carefully grab him by his tail holding him right where he was. Surion Rakamash "Uhm no, it just looks like a medical place, Faerun has a few, mostly in waterdeep that I've seen at least" Something about the place seemed mellowing, he didnt know what. Senti scurries down Surion's cloak and ontot he floor... a new place! he wanted to explore! He runs around skittering across tile, sliding down through teh rows of chairs, going EVERYWHERE, noone woulda been able to miss this little creature"Senti come back here... Why cant you be like Kuyl and stay put!" Surion scolds the dragonette loudly, the red psuedo dragon sitting calmly on Surion's shoulder Elliot Shimofuri Elliot nodded. " There is a feel to this place. " He smiled to him self nodding. That was when he noticed her. For a moment he was happy. And then he was shocked. Tinania was there! And she was holding a child! Wait she has a kid or was it hers and Surions?! Maybe?! " AH! Tinania!!" Krista_Darkangel_Silme Glancing up when her name is spoken, she blinks seeing Elliot. With a smiel she waves to him and his friend " Elliot, hey its been a long time sweetie." Standing, she picks up Seiji just so he doesn't attempt to get down again. Walking towards them both, her fairy wings flutter, but remain folded behind her. Leaning forward she hugs Elliot before she pulls back " So who is your friend here?" she didn't have any idea that it was indeed Surion, as he didn't have the wings, horns or tail. Looking Surion over with her emerald aqua eyes, she arches a brow. Even though he didn't seem familiar, at the same time her did to her. Seiji looks over the two males before he hugs close to his mother. His claws digging into her light pink wool sweater. His mother was always warm to him, that he had to fight sleep when she held him. His tail smack her jeans as he makes a couple of silly noises. XBear It had been a while since she had gone to the doctor’s, and she needed a prescription filled along with a checkup. Surprised to hear multiple voices in the usually vacant clinic, the Skullmonkey quickened her pace while attempting to stuff her receipts and the package of medicine into the pocket of her bright purple peacoat. Against Mom’s advice, Tourma had cut her hair above her shoulders short (relatively at least) and funky. Today it was wavy and up in a messy short pony tail with chunks of bangs falling into her face. That way, she could wear a hat and not have horrible hat hair when she removed it. When she pushed open the door to the main waiting room, she blinked stupidly and took a quick inventory. There was only one that she really recognized, and the last time she had seen him was at a hospital. “Uh… Hellllooo there?” She waved to the other people in slow, and large rainbow arc of a wave. Hitsuzen "You're joking, right? You can't possibly think I'm going to stay here by myself..." Sphinx grumbled, standing alongside his caretaker's car in the parking lot. "Get out of the car."Amon was held in the crook of one arm, the child burbling contentedly as he looked from his father to Hitsu as each spoke."Sphinx, I have to go shopping. Unless you don't want dinner tonight. I think everyone else would be a little miffed if I didn't bring home food." Hitsu explained, sounding lightly annoyed. It had been no less than ten minutes since she'd arrived and tried to drop the two off. "I'm going to look like a fool, a man carrying a diaper bag." He huffed, frowning lightly as Amon found this an appropriate moment to giggle."Look at where you are. I really doubt you're going to be the only person carrying a diaper bag." She responded, ignoring the glare she received. Finished with the argument, she put the car in gear. "I'll be back shortly, just be nice to everyone alright?" He wasn't given time to answer, as she left before he'd have chance to object. Sphinx watched her go, an expression of dread on his face. "The Gods are pissed at me." He murmured, then looked to his son. "I guess there's no choice, then. Shall we?"Amon cooed in response, though whether it was a true attempt at an answer Sphinx did not know.Slowly, father and child approached the clinic. Sphinx opened the door cautiously, as though awaiting chaos of some sort as soon as he stepped inside. He hadn't been here in a very long time, and thoughts of if people in this place would scold him for not visiting tugged at his mind. Of course, had he not been forced, he would much rather have remained at home. Surion Rakamash Having been scolded the jaguar printed dragonette skitters back to Surion and up his cloak. Wow it really was filling up in this building quickly, did they all have a medical issue? "My name is Surion" he replies having been the only one left in the room at the time of the question. His eyes travelled around the room, his hands pushing his bangs out of his face and over his ears as the wind had dislodged them Elliot Shimofuri " And who is this? " Elliot gave her a quick hug back as she moved in. Once looking back at the girl he couldn't help but notice the little one in her arms. He looked cute clutching to his mother so protectively. " Ah well you know him. Well I guess it is hard to tell with him hiding his eyes and all. " He nudged Surion to take down his hood. " Take down your hood man." Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania seems to pale the moment the male spoke his name. Looking at Elliot she shakes her head then tries to smile " This is Seiji, he is my adopted son." taking a step back, her hand seems to tremble as she clutches her bag " I need to um...go get some more books." turning she gives a wave to the other people before moving back to the counter. Setting Seiji down, she breathes in slowly before she closes her eyes. Why did she just get smacked hard, or at least felt like it. Blinking, she looks down at she felt a small hand on her cheek. Seiji wrinkles his face up before he attempts to slip back into his mother's hold. Tinania smiles as she holds her son, turning back toward the others around her. Her eyes kept darting back toward Surion and Elliot only to dart away again. She needed a distraction, just so she didn't make her way back to the two boys. XBear For a moment she simply watched the ongoings quietly before following the girl with the delicate butterfly wings, which were colorful and caught her attention easily. Plus she had a cute little kid that hopefully wasn't near pooping time yet. "Hey there little kid thing and owner," Tourma said in a sweet talk to babies voice, giving the older girl a smile to show she meant no ill will with her terminology. "Oh and don't worry, boys are dumbshits, and I'm Tourma. Sup?" Hitsuzen Sphinx stepped into the clinic in silence, swiftly making his way to a vacant chair. There were lots of people here. Well, it was even more crowded at home, but he still found this awkward. Glancing around quietly, he assumed that none of them had noticed his arrival. That would be great. He could remain invisible until Hitsu came back to take them home. Easy.Meanwhile, Amon wriggled a bit in Sphinx's arms until he could get a look at this new room. There were new people all around, and from the smile on the infant's face this was apparently a good thing. He gave a joyful squeal, apparently announcing his presence. Surion Rakamash "What? oh, sorry I'm used to WaterDeep and Skullport" he pushes the hood down, and then almost as an afterthought he pulls the ring off his other features becoming visible, his wings still folded away, there seemed to be enough... different people here hiding his appearance wouldn't be an issue. He slips the ring into a safe pocket in his cloak as the young woman who had been talking walks away "Uhh" now he's confused, people here seemed to know him, least one anyways. He notices the one with teh infant, even the flamboyant young woman who had opinions of males he did not agree with.
Surion pulls off his cloak setting it on a nearby chair, the Psuedo dragon he had with him jumped down and settled onto of itSenti on the other hand decided to explore the people in the room, he'd already met the redheadded boy now he headed for Sphinx and the baby, he was small, only fierce when he wanted to be Elliot Shimofuri " Woah thats cool. " He said looking over at Surion's horns. He was definitely not from around here. Shaking his head he remembered he had come here for a reason. " Be right back man. " Elliot said as he shuffled his way over the to receptionist and handed her a note. After a few minutes she handed him another note and a clip board to fill out. " Man I hate filling these things out." He groaned. Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania focus on Tourma before holds nods "I'm Tinania, and this is my son Seiji." looking down at Seiji, his eyes deem focus on Tourma fluffy tail. It was so bright and colorful like his mommie wings. moving his claws, he seems to reach out towards Tourma. Tinania blinks before she looks towards Tourma again "Your right, they do. But not all boys. This one here is a sweetheart and seems he wants your attention." she wasn't actually use to Seiji wanting to leave her arms. Everywhere they went he would hide his face if someone tried to even touch him. XBear "That's because he's still all mini and stuff still," she made a face at him and playfully whapped him with her tail before dangling it just out of his reach of the wee one. "Yeah, I know Elliot, but I doubt he really remembers me. Who's the horny long haired one?" Peering over towards the two boys, Tourma caught sight of the new arrivals, waving at them to be polite before turning her attention back to Nani. "So I guess you don't go out as much now that you've got Kiddo here?" Hitsuzen Amon was distracted by all of the smells, sounds and colors for several moments. Until... What was that? He peered down toward the floor, at the little dragon that was curiously approaching. He blinked, expression curious. Then, he gave a toothless grin to the creature, and reached toward the floor as if wishing to pick it up.Returning Tourma's kind gesture, if not just barely, Sphinx was a few seconds late in noticing their visitor. When he looked back, however, he certainly noticed? "What the heck is that?" He said, raising a brow. It was small, and to Sphinx it didn't seem like it could be much of a threat. He'd keep an eye on it, though. He didn't want it to bite the child. Or him, for that matter. Elliot Shimofuri A very loud chirping ring tone filled the clinic's waiting room with tune of Sarajevo Christmas Eve. Elliot shuffled through his many pockets in which he finally found his purple razor cell phone. " Hello, this is Elle?" He said in his usual cheerful voice. " Oh, yeah I just picked it up. Yeah Mom....yeah...alright I will. Wait don't go into my room...there is nothing in that box...wait...mom...MOM! Gah! She hung up. " Elliot said a little bit frustrated. He looked up at Surion. " I have to go before mom finds my stash..." He said in a hushed tone to Surion. " Hey but if you need a place to stay since you don't seem like your come from around here." Reaching into his pocket and pulling out a card with his name an phone number on it. It also read ' Lucky Chopsticks, Elliot Shimofuri , 555-912-4444'
" Well see you again Surion. " He said turning toward the door. He gave a quick wave to Tinania. " See you! " And with a quick step Elliot headed out. Surion Rakamash "Hey yeah ok, thanks" he didnt think he'd need a place to stay he planned on returning to skullport late that night. He took the number anyways though pocketting it, it might come in handy in the future. His attention was split as he made sure the dragonette was behaving. Well that left Surion kinda standing there doing not a whole lot, so he decided to figure out what kind of healing they practised here and explored a littleSenti on the other hand didnt find the baby exactly what he wanted, he was far too adventurous, and he sensed yet another dragon-like creature here and scurried around the room till he could see the child standing by the two females, and from there crept slowly closer to look Krista_Darkangel_Silme "Not as much as I use to. Have to keep this one from trying to hurt himself." Tinania chuckles as watches Seiji eyes go wide from the pop to his face by the tail. Lifting his hand Seiji rubs at his face before he attempts for the tail again. How dare it smack him in the face, when he got ahold of it. It was getting sucked on as far as he was concerned. Tinania couldn't help but chuckle again as she looks at Tourma "Yea I know Elliot also. I think he might have a crush on me, as he always seems to freeze up when I am around." pausing she glances down at Senti, her brow rasing as she watches Senti creep closer towards them. Surion Rakamash "Senti come" Surion says and heads for his cloak. The Pseudo dragon hops off of it as Surion picks it up. The young man slips on the cloak extending a hand to Kuyl who quickly moves up it back to his place on Surion's shoulderSenti looks back and forth between the girls, the child and Surion, Senti want see he pouts for a moment but opts AGAINST getting left behind and scurries over to Surion and up his cloak"Nice to meet you.. maybe we'll see each other in future if I'm in Gaia" he says to the females and nods his head to the male "Bye to you too" he pulls the ring on once more before slipping back out the door Hitsuzen Giving a little disappointed sigh as the small dragon turned its attention elsewhere, he watched it curiously as it scurried around until Surion had finally called it back and took his leave. Amon huffed lightly, and looked up to Sphinx expectantly."Don't look at me like that, I'm just as bored as you are." He muttered, casting a glance toward the door where the other two males had made their escape. Sphinx wondered how close he could get to home if he started walking, before Hitsu would finally finish grocery shopping and return here to pick him up. She's going to take ages, I'll bet. He groaned lightly, before standing with his son and deciding to make a little use of his visit. There were things to read posted up and lying around, perhaps that would help pass the time. XBear Tourma grinned and taunted the little one with the tip of her tail, "Ah such is life, but that's what babysitting siblings are for. Granted I'm not a mother, but I have enough cousins and siblings to understand. Though most of us all are grown up now." Chewing on her lower lip, she looked thoughtful for a moment, letting her tail slacken somewhat within reach of Seiji. The departure of the not so social (in her ever so 'humble' opinion) boys caught her attention as well, but she simply shrugged and turned her attention to who was still left at the office. Hitsuzen Well, reading quickly turned into something far more boring than just sitting around. Sphinx quietly returned back to where he'd been sitting before, and began to rummage through the diaper bag, tugging out a blanket and a few small toys.Amon had started to squirm and whine, and clearly didn't take as well to being without entertainment. He watched as Sphinx spread the blanket out as well as one could manage with one hand while trying to leave plenty of room for others to get around. The child knew what this meant, and once he'd finally been sat (well, laid) upon it he grabbed up the nearest toy. His little lion stuffed plush, the arm of which quickly met with his mouth where he gummed at it contentedly."At least you're easy to entertain." Sphinx stated, taking a seat to watch. After what easily felt like an hour had passed, the clinic door opened to reveal Hitsu. "Ready to go home?" She asked, kneeling down to Amon and picking him up so that Sphinx could gather the toys and blanket. "It's probably time for you to have some lunch and a nap." She smiled to the child, who only gurgled in response. "Could you have taken any longer?" Sphinx grumbled, offering the diaper bag to her when she held Amon out to him. A fair trade, he thought. Then, the trio quietly took their leave from the clinic.

Well, I was forced to pay a visit to the clinic a while ago. It wasn't as irritating as I anticipated, but that was only because we easily kept to ourselves. Not that I'm complaining, I'm not very keen on social gatherings. There's plenty of people that want to pester me at my own home, thank you, I don't need to go anywhere if I want someone to ramble on and on about things I don't care about.
I hate to say it, but I know I'll have to go back eventually. Aside from those annoying doctor visits, everyone insists that it would be a good idea that I talk to people with "experience" with all of this. It's embarrassing. Over a dozen people in this house, and I am the only one who's got a kid.
No, I take that back. There's Dynast. However, if he did try to hold up a civilized conversation, I'm sure that he would swear up and down that there's no such thing as a termination too late. Seeing the way he treats Yuki and Hitsuzen, and the way they've turned out because of it, he's the last parent I'd want advice from.
At least everyone seems eager to help take care of Amon, even if that mostly consists of playing and feedings. Funny how everyone decides that he's suddenly my sole responsibility when he needs a diaper changing. Thanks a lot for that one, I really appreciate it. I might just start pawning him off on Daphne whenever someone hands him to me. She's such a clean freak, I might be able to get away with it for a little while.

Ms Keth GMFC RP Prompt for: Amon This Prompt Tastes: Chocolatey Feral Stirrings After laying Amon down for the evening, Sphinx retires for the night, perhaps feeling a bit frustrated or drained at how his young charge seems to be taking advantage of the daytime to do the bulk of his napping, only to be wound up at bedtime. In the middle of the night, Sphinx is awakened by a loud shatter which seems to have come from the kitchen. He would find no lights on in the house if he were to get up and investigate, but upon arriving in the kitchen would discover the cookie jar has fallen from its usual perch on the counter and shattered. He will also discover Amon, frightened by the loud noise, has hidden in one of the cupboards. Amon is unharmed, if a bit rattled. There are no chairs or stools pushed up to the counter to suggest he boosted himself there, so it is left to conclude that he has, indeed, used his budding feline agility to have climbed or jumped. The lack of lights on anywhere in the house also suggests that Amon is beginning to exhibit the nocturnal behavior and vision of a feline. This may also mark the beginning of a "climbing phase". CRASH!
Things being broken in the house wasn't at all out of the ordinary, but when everyone was supposed to be sleeping? It wasn't so common. Even 2D managed to keep himself shut away at night even when he was awake, so surely he wasn't downstairs breaking things...
These were Sphinx's thoughts as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and yawned. He felt like he'd just gotten to sleep. Whoever was making noise at this hour was going to be sorry that they'd awakened him.
Sphinx stepped into the hallway and paused. Amon's door was ajar, when he was positive he'd shut it after putting the toddler to bed. The father pushed the door open slightly further and peeked inside. Amon wasn't in his bed, or anywhere in the room for that matter.
A wave of panic rushed over him, and Sphinx had reached the end of the hallway, descended the stairs and made it to the kitchen door in what felt to him a matter of seconds. In such a large house, it really wasn't a short trip.
Swinging the door open, his eyes immediately settled on the broken cookie jar. Sphinx actually gave a sigh of relief, it was much better than finding that someone had been trying something malicious in the darkness. Gaze darted about for Amon, and before he could panic any further there came a rattling from one of the cupboards under the sink. Sphinx moved carefully around the broken glass and opened it to investigate.
Within it was Amon, hiding amongst the pots and pans.
Sphinx was relieved, and apparently so was Amon. He crawled out when his father reached in for him and clung to Sphinx's arm.
"Loud noise," he whined, "scary."
Sphinx really couldn't be angry with him, not when he'd been so worried a moment before. He was just glad to see him safe. "Yeah, it scared me too."
Placing Amon up to sit on the counter, Sphinx carefully cleaned up all of the mess and tossed it away. Thinking as he did so, about how Amon had decided to make the trip downstairs alone in the dark.
"I want one," Amon said with a frown, when he saw the cookies from the floor go into the trash can.
"Well, you can't have one of those, they're dirty and might have glass on them now." Sphinx explained.
He retrieved a fresh package of cookies from one of the high cupboards, opening it and giving his son a cookie which the child happily accepted. "How did you get up there, Amon?"
"Climb," Amon said through a mouthful of cookie, "Cookies fell down when I got up."
Sphinx looked to the drawers beside him. The handles had apparently made excellent footholds, and he could see a few small scratches in the wood here and there where he'd scaled his way up to the counter. He must have pulled the cookie jar down in trying to pull himself up, or to get a cookie at a long reach.
"You are good at climbing," Sphinx complimented, "but you need to be careful. You could have gotten hurt when the cookies fell, or stepped on the glass when you jumped back down."
Amon continued to munch of his cookie, but watched his father intently while he talked.
"Next time you want a cookie, wake me up alright?"
Amon nodded, stuffed the rest of his cookie into his mouth and reached out to be picked up.
Sphinx lifted him from the counter, leaving the kitchen to head back to bed. "You didn't get lost in the dark?"
"Nu-uh, I saw," Amon said proudly, "I didn't need lights."
Well, apparently there wasn't a need for him to have a nightlight, anymore.

Amon gave me quite the surprise when I found him downstairs by himself, I still can't believe he managed it all by himself. It honestly makes me wonder how many times he's done it, or tried, before... For all we know he might be roaming all over the place and get back in bed before our knowing.
Well, that might be giving a toddler too much credit...
He's really been into things since then, though. Now that he knows how to climb, it seems that he has to get to the top of everything. Vincent had to pull him down from the bookshelf a few days ago, before he got all the way to the ceiling.
And trees? Don't get me started on trees... If Yuki couldn't levitate, I figure Amon would have spent all night in one of the trees in the back yard. He managed to get almost to the top, and couldn't get back down. I can't climb trees very well, so this had to be something he acquired from his mother's blood.
We can only be thankful that he hasn't had any falls yet, the last thing I'd want is for the poor guy to break an arm or something.
And his night vision! It's great to know that I don't have a child that's scared of the dark. I think, for all he knows, there really isn't a 'dark' anymore since he can see well even at night.
He's turning into quite the little predator, already. I can only hope that he doesn't hit a phase where he wants to start killing the animals he finds in the back yard and bringing them in to show me... I think Hitsu would be a little distressed by that.
Next, he'll be swimming, I'll bet. I wonder if we'll even have to teach him?

Details This RP took place in the main GMFC thread, beginning with my post. It is being used to help with the requirements of two appointments, which is hopefully acceptable seeing as eventually the RP will split off to each of them being in a different area. Eventually Hitsu goes in to see a nurse, while Sphinx and Amon go across the street to the park with Natalia and her parents. Hitsuzen Quite suddenly, the main door to the Clinic swung open. Through it rushed a young brunette, who made a beeline to the front desk.
"Restroom," she gasped, looking flushed. "Please."
Behind her the door had opened again for Sphinx and Amon's entry, the both of them staring at their caretaker with confusion.
When pointed in the right direction by the receptionist, the woman made no hesitation and hurried there. Even before making it to her destination, there was a sound of retching followed by her running footfalls as her need to visit a toilet just became more desperate.
Amon continued to stare off in the direction that she had gone, before looking up at his father questioningly. "Where Hitsu go?"
"Bathroom. Sick, I guess." He responded, brow furrowed in his concern. This wasn't like her, usually she barely acted ill for a day and a half... This had lasted at least a couple of weeks now. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres Ceres had, had one hell of a week to put it mildly. Since the car accident everything seemed to snowball. One thing led to another and then another and each seemed worse than the last.
The most recent disaster was that her daughter had been led astray by a handful of promises the island itself had made to her. Oh the island had sure fulfilled its promises but there was always that saying when something was too good to be true it usually was just that to good to be true. But her daughter was young and had recently gone through something horrible and was looking for a quick fix.
Natalia had gotten that fix, but with a price. She had the ability to use her wings but with it no memory of being human.. She had wealth but not where to spend it. She was happy but she had no one to really share it with.
Ceres in her weakened state could not undo what had been done. So, she set out to do it the old fashion way. Firstly, she had to get Natalia to trust her. Once that had been accomplished she had convinced her to let her care for her. Now, that all that had been settled she was going to help Natalia recover her memories and hopefully regain that human body she had been born with.
Natalia didn't care for anything thus far that she had seen on Gaia and was reluctant to continue to follow to Ceres. She just wanted to go home- back to the fields.
"Here we are," Ceres said as she opened the door of the clinic. Even if Ceres couldn't get her to remember this place she at least hoped that Natalia would connect with someone. Hitsuzen When the door had opened again, the boys looked toward it to see another woman leading someone into the clinic. Though, unexpectedly, that someone just happened to be a horse. With wings. The duo stared. Sphinx, despite where he had come from, could never recall seeing a Pegasus. Or, at least, not this close up.
Sphinx had planted himself in a chair, as not to get in the way nor spook the creature.
Amon, on the other hand, had practically skipped his way toward the door before Sphinx could so much as realize what he was doing.
"Amon!" He hissed, and gestured to the seat beside him.
His father going ignored, Amon paused a little ways away and looked up at the pegasus with wide eyes. He really wanted to get a closer look at it, as he'd never even seen a horse up close before. However, in seconds came a typical question when it concerned animals and children. "May I pet?" Well, at least he knew his manners. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres Natalia's ears flickered as she watched the child. Not that she would express it out loud but she half wondered why she couldn't remember growing up- she only remembered herself since yesterday it seemed. She lowered her head to get a closer look at the child. Every inch of her body shimmered and sang as she moved. "Yes. You may pet me." To her amazement she spoke perfect, understandable English and not just the equine she spoke to the woman that called herself her mother. To further aid the small one she folded her legs under her and 'laid' down.
Ceres watched Natalia with amazement. Despite everything that had happened and was still going on she was gentle. She was thankful that the personality trait had not been lost. She felt strange having to rely on her daughter for site- but it would only be for a little while longer until Sky caught up with them. Hitsuzen Amon had looked to the woman for a reply to his question, he hadn't expected the Pegasus to respond. He grinned in his excitement as Natalia leaned down to look at him, but waited patiently for her to settle down on the floor. He plopped down on his rump in front of her, and carefully extended a hand at arms length to stroke her nose. He held his hand very flat, like he was trying to avoid poking her with his little claws. Even if he had, it wouldn't have hurt, they'd been filed smooth to keep the toddler from scratching himself by accident.
He smiled broadly, "Soft horsie." He withdrew his hand, and placed it quietly in his lap. He continued to look Natalia in the eyes from where he sat, be it out of continued awe or in waiting to see if she would speak to him again.
At last, he spoke again himself. "What your name?" He put a hand to his own little chest, "I'm Amon." Then he turned just enough to look behind him, and pointed at the very bewildered looking Sphinx. "An' that my daddy."
For lack of knowing much else to do other than gawk at them, Sphinx waved quietly. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres Natalia kept very still while Amon 'petted' her. It was an odd sensation- something she had never felt before. It wasn't a disliked thing. She actually rather liked it which almost spooked her. But she didn't let any of those thoughts show through emotion.
"I don't remember," Natalia said honestly. "But that woman over there that calls herself my mother- she calls me Natalia." If she could have smile she would have. She gave a soft whicker when she was finished talking. She really wanted to 'petted' some more. She nuzzled her face against Amon's arms when he stopped. She didn't want him to think that he had to stop after just a couple strokes.
Ceres sat down slowly. Age made things difficult. Especially when were aging rapidly. She watched Natalia and the boy called Amon with a smile. She was impressed at how gentle Natalia was and half wondered if her daughter was better off. But still she wanted her daughter to remember and to actually have a choice in things. "My name is Ceres," she said when asked. Hitsuzen It really didn't seem to bother Amon, that Natalia had said she forgotten her name. But, perhaps he was just too young to understand... "Na-ta-lia." He sounded, clearly trying to get the pronunciation correct. He smiled, looking briefly over to Ceres. "Cer-es your momma?" He paused for just a moment, "I have no momma." It was just a statement on his part, there really was no regret or sadness to be heard. Though, with so many people in his household, the absence of someone he couldn't ever recall interacting with wasn't something he could really miss.
He giggled when Natalia nuzzled his arms, and began to stroke her nose again. It really was very soft, he liked he feel of it. "I like your gold," he said, referring to all of the jewelry that adorned Natalia. "Daddy said when I'm big, I get gold too."
Sphinx just continued to watch them quietly, relieved that Amon didn't seem to be a bother as he'd been concerned about. The sound of footfalls nearby caught his attention, and he looked up to see Hitsu returning to the waiting room.
She had stopped for a moment, looking from the children and Ceres to Sphinx. "Who's this?"
"Natalia, and Ceres." Sphinx replied, gesturing with tilts of his head from the Pegasus to the woman alongside her. "Are you alright?"
"Fine," she said, with a quick change in subject. "Ceres? You can sit here, if you'd like." She wanted to be polite, and Hitsu was certain that Sphinx probably hadn't thought to offer. Or, perhaps she'd just like to stay with Natalia. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "You've got it," Natalia said in response to him sounding out her name. She tossed her head up in down in approval. "Natalia." Delighted that Amon was petting her again she chuckled, which sounded more like a whicker. "I like shiny things too. Especially bells," her voice gave away her joy. "I bet you'll be one of the most handsome men when you grow up and wear all that gold." This gave away her view that material possessions were important- she hadn't learned yet otherwise.
Ceres looked in the direction of the voice. With Natalia's eyes being the only eyes she could use at the moment the only thing she could see was Amon. Silently she hoped that Sky would arrive shortly- she didn't like feeling vulnerable. "I'm fine on the floor," she said with a smile. "It is one of the best places to be when you have small ones." Hitsuzen Bells? Amon had seen bells before. "I like bells," he stated, "They make nice sound." It was hard telling if he meant a soft sound, or if he - like most young children - enjoyed ringing a bell as frantically and loudly as he could if he got hold of one.
When told he'd be handsome in all of his gold when he grew up, Amon nodded enthusiastically. "Just like daddy!" That seemed the most exciting part to him, rather than the adornments themselves. Aside from a few favorite toys that he was at times possessive over, Amon wasn't very materialistic. Not with inanimate objects, at least. He did love his housemates, his 'family' as they were.
The toddler's amazement of Natalia continued, as he found another question he craved to know the answer to. He pointed to her feathery white wings, "You go up?" Fly was apparently not in his immediate vocabulary, "Like bird?"
Hitsu had nodded to Ceres, and returned the smile. As best she could, anyway, her stomach was still feeling queasy. "Alright," she replied, "She is very beautiful, by the way."
Sphinx had his attention locked on the children. It was great to see Amon interacting with someone outside of their household, let alone taking to them so quickly. Not to say he was shy, but Sphinx had been worried since he hadn't been exposed to many children so far. He was being friendly, polite and very social. While he hadn't yet learned entirely correct grammar, he was certainly heading in the right direction. Sphinx couldn't hope for much more right now. He was proud, even though he'd probably not be caught saying it to anyone but the child. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "Yes, Bells. They are one of my favorite shiny objects because they make noise." Natalia blinked a couple times as her a pain shot their head. She didn't know what to call it, but there it was in the back of her mind an image of a little girl with vibrantly colored ribbons woven into her head and bells and laughter.
"Amon is adorable," Ceres said with a smile. She kept her face turned in the direction of the voice. "I'm sorry to come off as rude but is Amon yours and his?" She had barely heard the other mans voice but she knew he was there. "Forgive me, I do not see like others so I am uncertain who he has traits of," her voice was apologetic.
Natalia tried not to let Amon notice the sudden change. Her focus returned in just enough time to here him say 'you go up'. Taking just another moment to process the sentence for clarity she tossed her head up and down. "Yes, up!" She hadn't calculated the size the room ever and thus she didn't realize the outcome as she spread her wings for Amon. Tables turned over and magazines spilled everywhere.
Because of her lack of site Ceres was unaware of what was happening until it was to late. Perfect timing as Sky had just come into the door. "Natlaia!" he called out to stop her from completely spreading her wing.
Natalia stopped mid spread when she heard her name and before she could make a mess of anything else. She continued to ignore her dad otherwise. "You can pet," she said knowing that Amon understood that word better than touch. Hitsuzen "Thank you," Hitsu had replied to Ceres, probably further suggesting the woman's thought that she may be a parent of the child. As quickly as Ceres had asked the question, though, she shook her head. "I am not, at least not in the biological sense. You see, Sphinx - his father - is from a little petshop in Chinatown... I'm their caretaker. So, I suppose in a manner, I am like a parent to Amon."
"She helps out enough to be," Sphinx added, "I don't think males are at all cut out to be single parents..."
"Almost everything about Amon resembles his father," Hitsu continued, "Except his streak of blue hair and his little tabby tail. He's got his mother's eye color, as well."
Hitsu hadn't spoken in contempt at all, but a look at Sphinx's scornful expression would have made it obvious he wasn't keen on the subject anymore.
When Natalia had spread her wings, Amon had squealed in surprise. Startled? Not at all. All of the noise only seemed to entertain him more, like it had all been intended in her display to show how powerful her wings were. He clapped and giggled, failing to even realize she'd been scolded by someone at all in his amusement.
He was on his feet even before Natalia had offered him the chance to touch her wings, but hadn't dared to do so until that point. Amon went up alongside her and examined one of her wings closely, before curiously petting the feathers and lacing his fingers between some of the bigger ones. Her wings were just like a bird! Only bigger, of course. "I like them." Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "In any case you've both got a delightful child," Ceres said with a smile. "I have never believed that only one person is meant to raise a child. Sometimes it takes a village," she chuckled. "It builds character and such. Natalia has Sky and myself but also her seven siblings."
As Sky looked over the mess he rubbed his temples. He knew Ceres was finally getting a good look at it to but since she didn't stress he wasn't about to. He took a few deep calming breaths. "We'll just clean it before we go." He glanced over at Amon and Natalia and smiled. "They seem to be enjoying themselves." Then he shifted his glance back over to the couple. "I'm Sky, her father." He wasn't about to dive into that complicated story unless asked.
"Thank you," Natalia said politely in response to the boy liking her feathers. "Let's see," she said as she ruffled her feathers. Sure as she was sure a couple fell out- nothing that would be missed. "A couple as a gift." She rubbed her muzzle against Amon's shoulder and whickered softly. She had never had anyone play with the feathers on her wings- though it was a new feeling and almost strange it was delightful. Hitsuzen "We have... Quite a large family at home." Hitsu chuckled, "Though I think a couple of them are trying to teach him how to be a troublemaker instead of a well-mannered little gentleman."
Sphinx gave a short laugh, frowning a bit. "Yeah, thankfully the others seem to be teaching him better."
Hitsu nodded toward Sky when he spoke, "That they are, it's cute to watch isn't it?" When he introduced himself, she offered a smile. "I'm Hitsuzen. This is Sphinx, Amon's father. Amon is, of course, the little one there with your daughter."
"Oohh!" Amon exclaimed, as Natalia stated that he got to keep two of her pretty feathers. Amon stooped down to pick up the feathers that floated to the floor, and in his excitement ran over to Sphinx and Hitsu to show them. "Look, look! Natalia gave them to me!" He explained proudly, holding one up in each hand.
Hitsu couldn't help but laugh, "I saw! They are very pretty. Did you tell Natalia 'thank you'?"
He'd forgotten! "I will," he stated, and held the feathers out to Sphinx for him to take for him.
"We'll have to put them somewhere safe when we get home, so they don't get lost." Sphinx said, accepting them gently.
Amon returned to Natalia just as quickly as he had run off, smiling broadly. "Thank you for your feathers." Kawaii_Hime_Ceres Natalia gave a delighted whicker at the boys happiness. She watched him run from one place to the next. He had so much energy and it tickled her on the inside to watch him. "You're very welcome," she said when he finally returned to sit next to her. She wouldn't have been offended if she hadn't gotten a thank you. His happiness was enough.
"If you want I can fashion you something right here to hold those feathers in. He could wear them around his neck," Ceres made the offer. Making a simple piece of jewelry wouldn't exhaust her to much.
Natalia preferring to stand she slowly did so. She stretched the length of herself before shaking her head. Every inch of her sang as she did so. "Sorry," she apologized for being so abrupt. "This place really isn't big enough for me. How about we go to the park across the street." She looked behind her and out the door.
Ceres was rather shocked that Natalia was wanting to do such a thing. It was still strange and overwhelming that her daughter truly did not remember a thing. "If you take up the offer it can also be done across the street at the park."
"I don't have any objections," Sky smiled and helped Ceres to stand. Had he not already been standing it would have been a more joint effort thing- old age and all. Hitsuzen Ceres' offer clearly grabbed Amon's attention, "Really?" To think that he could carry them all the time to show others his unique gift was an idea that he liked.
"That would be nice of you," Sphinx had replied, unable to miss the boy's enthusiasm at the idea.
Hitsu, while agreeing, hoped that it wasn't a bother. "Only if it isn't too much trouble, Ceres."
Amon got to his feet again when Natalia had decided to stand. He felt very short all over again, the equine seemed to tower above his small body. He was beaming at the offer to go to the park, there were always plenty of places to play and explore in the park. "I want to go!" He exclaimed, turning to look at his father and Hitsu in wait of their permission.
"Sure," Sphinx confirmed with a nod, "I'm sure we could all use the fresh air and sunshine."
"You two go and have fun, and I'll catch up as soon as I can," Hitsu said. When Sphinx gave her a questioning look, she gave a short excuse. "I've got to speak with one of the doctors."
He seemed to find the answer reason to concern, but he said nothing against it. "Alright, we'll see you in a little while."
With that he rose, tucking the feathers into a pocket of Amon's toy and supply bag carefully before stepping over to help tidy what mess Natalia had made in showing Amon her wings so that Sky didn't have to do so alone. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "Yes, really. And, it isn't any trouble," Ceres said with an enthusiastic smile. "But, we'll do it once we get to the park and are settled again." She directed this towards Amon. She could easily tell that Natalia was getting restless- it was a common thing since she'd earn this new body of hers.
"Thank You," Sky said to Sphinx as he started to help him. He was thankful that the mess wasn't to bad from when Natalia spread her wings. "Kids can make such a mess," he said in a whisper but it was followed by an immediate grin.
Natalia didn't concern herself with anyone but Amon. "If you can promise not to kick my wings I'll give you a ride across the street." she could see the mix of discomfort and excitement in his eyes. She knew that it must be overwhelming to stand up next to something when there was a size difference. She lowered her head and nuzzled him against his cheek. Hitsuzen "Okay!" Amon replied, unable to hide his excitement. He was getting a gift, and getting to play outside with his new friend! What more could he ask for?
"No problem," Sphinx said, "If Amon hadn't commented on her wings I'm sure this wouldn't have happened." Not that he sounded annoyed by it, but surely it only made sense for him to help since Amon was partially responsible. He chuckled lightly, "Yes, they can. Though fortunately, I think the worst I've had to clean up so far is a broken cookie jar, and dropped food and drink in general."
The day only seemed to get better when Natalia offered to give Amon a ride across the street. His eyes grew wide with surprise, but he was quick to agree to her rule, "I promise!" He giggled when he nuzzled her again, petting her nose. He'd never ridden a horse before, this would be fun!
Sphinx had overheard, "Just be careful, Amon. Hold on tight, so you don't fall off." The father, of course, had full intention to walk alongside, so that the toddler wouldn't do just that.
"Hitsuzen Grausherra?" Came a call from one of the doorways, a nurse holding a clipboard "You can come back now."
Hitsu rose from her chair, looking a bit nervous. Though, she managed a smile toward the others before she disappeared into the hall. "See you soon, have fun in the park." Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "Eight kids and the messes are piling up. Especially if you count broken hearts and dreams," he chuckled. "I do agree food and beverage spills as well as a pile of toys in the living room are the most common."
After they finished cleaning up the room Sky came up beside Amon. "Alright then, up we go," he said as he settled Amon onto Natalia's back. He handed the boy a tuft of hair to use a 'handle'.
Natalia looked behind her and whickered when she saw Amon sitting up on her back- and how proud he looked. "All good then?"
Sky smiled as he put his arm around Ceres' waste. "I don't think we could be any prouder."
"Nope!" Ceres grinned. "Take care Hitsuzen. See you soon." Hitsuzen "Eight?" Sphinx gaped. Well, they did have a lot of people in their household as well, just not children. At least... Not in body, perhaps in mind... "Damn, you two have your work cut out for you, don't you?"
Sphinx followed Sky over to the children and stood alongside Natalia on the opposite side as her father, as to keep Amon from falling off. "Hold on tight, Amon."
Amon nodded, grinning from ear to ear. He wouldn't fall! He gripped the bit of Natalia's mane that he'd been handed tightly, and remembered to be careful and not kick Natalia's wings by keeping his feet as still as possible. "Ready!"
Sphinx couldn't help but smile, "I'd have to agree." Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "Ceres raised all but this one with little help from me. She adopted them. Usually she didn't have more than one or two children at a time. As a rule everyone helps out around the house even with the raising." Sky smiled. "I'm not a dead beat," he chuckled. "Far from it I have more children than probably anyone in this clinic will ever dream off. Before Natalia was born I was a solely a Pegasus. This body was a 'gift'. This clinic a 'blessing' as it finally aloud Ceres to have a child naturally." "Modern medicine and practices." Ceres grinned. "I'm proud to say that I'm a 450 year old virgin," she chuckled. She normally shied away from speaking about her sexual life at all- it didn't exist. Not that she was embarrassed it was just that while she grew up mentions of it were rather taboo and she liked to keep it that way unless it was someone really really close to her.
Compared to the first day Natalia had come back to her family (that she didn't want to admit was because she didn't remember it) she was tamer. She could manage around these people.
As Natalia walked every inch of her sang. She was a site to see with the bits of golden jewelery. She let out a horse like laugh as she herd Amon's delights. It made her long for someone to play with all the time.
"I see the park," Natalia said. She was ignoring the talk of the 'adults'. Stopping on the side walk she turned her head and looked again at Amon. There was a smile on her face even if it didn't show. "You did a really good job. Thank you for not kicking my wings." Hitsuzen "Amon is the only child I've ever had to raise," Sphinx replied, sounding a bit relieved. "I doubt I could handle another, and he's well behaved."
"This clinic certainly is one of a kind, isn't it?" Sphinx couldn't entirely sympathize, seeing as Amon's conception wasn't at all planned... And at the time he saw nothing good about it at all. Though, looking at him now, Sphinx had to admit that being a father wasn't as bad as he'd thought it would be back then.
Once they'd gotten across the street to the park, Amon anxiously yet obediently waited for his father to pick him up from Natalia's back and set him on his feet in the grass.
"You're welcome," Amon said to Natalia happily, "That was fun!"
He looked around for a moment, trying to figure out what he should do first. There were trees and a playground nearby, maybe one of those? "What do you want to play?" He asked, looking up to Natalia expectantly. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres "When life hands you lemons you make lemonade. You may not have the power tools but you find a way. Even if it be two rocks and a bowl." Sky smiled encouragingly. He wasn't a hundred percent perfect on his English analogies but he was good enough.
Ceres grinned and leaned against Sky. She was doing her best to not laugh and alert Sky of the mistake. She looked around the park and wondered how Natalia would take it- she had after all made the decision to come here.
Natalia ruffled her feathers before spreading her wing. She stretched from her muzzle to her rump. She looked to Amon and for a moment continued to do so while she processed his request. She then looked around. She didn't think she could slide or swing. She thought she could attempt the thing that went around faster and faster. She shook her head and snorted. "How about you go and sit on the swings and I'll push you." She whickered as she folded her wings back. Hitsuzen Sphinx wasn't much on analogies in general, at least not the more common sort, so he knew no better and nodded. "Yeah... I think everything is going a lot better than I expected it to in the beginning."
"Okay!" Amon had replied, and took off running as fast as he could toward the swings. Mind, this wasn't extremely fast, but his father still found it amusing to watch.
Sphinx made his way to a nearby bench, assuming that Sky and Ceres would want to sit down as well. He settled down on one of the ends to leave them room to join him, setting Amon's bag on the ground and retrieving the feathers from where he'd put them. Amon would be upset if his father forgot about them, after all.
Once to his destination, the toddler climbed up into one of the lower hanging swings. Climbing he was good at, so he certainly didn't need help there. He loved being pushed on the swings, though. "Push! Push!" He called to Natalia anxiously, kicking his feet in the air in excitement. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres Ceres smiled and took the feathers. She closed her hands together and then slowly pulled them apart. A forming pendant suspended between her hands. The feathers were contained in an open-able glass bubble. The chain was a sturdy linked silver. "Here we go," she said when she was done and dropping it back into Amon's daddy's hands.
Natalia used her muzzle to push Amon. She wasn't sure how she knew what to do but it was there within her. She whickered when she saw the boy go up into the air. It wasn't to up, but just enough. "Whee," tuning into the boys delight she chuckled. Hitsuzen Sphinx had seen magic before, certainly, but most often it had been elemental based or at least if it wasn't it had required something material in order to help it work. He hadn't seen this sort before, at least not from what he could recall. Sphinx couldn't help but stare as Ceres created the trinket from thin air, afterward taking it from her carefully and examining it.
"This is amazing," Sphinx stated, "Thank you, I'm sure Amon will like this very much. I'll have to make sure he doesn't drop it and break the glass."
Amon giggled joyously when Natalia began to push him in the swing, "Go high!" He was enjoying himself whether or not she could comply with the request, "Lookit how high I am, Daddy!"
Sphinx turned his attention to Amon and laughed, "I see how high!"
What happened next, however, nearly made the father's heart leap into his throat. At one swings' highest point, the toddler let go of the chain and leapt off the seat.
No sooner could Sphinx jump to his feet and begin to run toward the two children, Amon had landed perfectly and unscathed on his feet and took off running across the grass leaving his father to stare dumbfounded at the boy as he went.
Amon ran around the swings and to Natalia, when he got close he reached out a little hand toward her. "Let's play tag!" He called, and reached out to tag her, "You're It first!"
Sphinx wasn't sure if he should scold his son or praise him. He turned back to Ceres and Sky with an expression that reflected his inner battle, "He's... Certainly never done that before..." Kawaii_Hime_Ceres The moment she saw the delight in Sphinx's face she smiled. "You needn't worry about it breaking," she chuckled. "I've learned a thing or two in my day," she winked.
Ceres' playfulness vanished as Sphinx bolted into an upright position and was quickly at the read to catch a 'flying' child. "Cat's grace," she suggested with a grin in hopes to lighten the fathers spirits.
Natalia's head followed Amon as she watched him leap from the swings seat. One second she showed concern the next she showed relief as he landed on his feet.
Natalia tried to follow his movement from there. She was taken off guard as he came behind her and tagged her. His delighted squeal told her that this was a game. Watching him run away from her after tagging her she assumed that she was to return the gesture. Hitsuzen Sphinx soon returned to the bench to sit, shaking his head a bit. "I supposed it is... This isn't the first time a feline trait has shown up." Great, more to worry about.
Amon ran across the playground from Natalia, through the grass and toward a small group of trees. It looked as though he was about to try and scale one of them, actually, before his father's half-panicked cry of "No trees, Amon!" caught his ears. Instead, he swept around behind and tree and hid behind it. Kawaii_Hime_Ceres Natalia caught onto the game rather quickly. She came to enjoy it more than previous. She didn't really care if she caught Amon in the long run... She was getting to stretch her legs, and give it her all.
Natalia lifted herself on her hind quarters, and then came down hard and barreled forward. Whickering like a young foal as she caused chunks of earth to be strewed behind her in her wake.
This freedom didn't last long because once they were in the thick of the trees it became hard to navigate. It took calculation to make turns but it was still fun.
Then she saw it. Amon was about to climb a tree. She was prepared in some fashion to catch him- after all she didn't want anyone to get the better of her.
Her ears swiveled as she heard the man call out. Amon's attention adverted, and tree avoided. Just as he leap behind one so did she in the opposite direction. That was when her muzzle touched his arm. "I do believe you are it," she grinned as only a horse could.
With that she took a couple steps back. She knew she'd be caught in no time. These trees... Hitsuzen Their game of tag took the two children all around the area of the park near their parents, with Amon zigging and zagging between playground equipment, benches and trees. The young feline was obviously thoroughly enjoying himself, happy to run and play with his new friend.
Sphinx watched the boy as he ran about, thankful for no more close calls on climbing anything he wasn't supposed to. He would wave on occasion when Amon ran past flailing an arm to ensure his father was watching him play.
As all good things must eventually come to an end, a child’s energy must eventually wear out. Amon finally slowed and approached Sphinx at the bench, huffing and puffing from his play. Climbing up onto his father's lap, the boy rested his head against Sphinx's gorgerin as he caught his breath.
"Tired now?" Sphinx asked after a quiet chuckle, "You ran off all of your energy, I'm sure."
Standing and lifting Amon into his arms, Sphinx smiled to Natalia and her parents. "Thank you for entertaining Amon, and it was nice meeting you all. I think I'll take him back over to the Clinic now, so we can wait for Hitsu and head home."
After their goodbyes, Sphinx carried Amon back toward the clinic. He was pretty certain that the kids had been playing for a long while… How long was this visit of Hitsu's supposed to take?
Sphinx was a bit surprised to meet her at the Clinic's door.
"Hey," he said, stepping back so she could exit.
"Hey," Hitsu replied, looking up to him as though he'd startled her.
"Everything alright, Hitsu?" Sphinx asked, brow furrowed. Something was bothering her, he could sense it.
"Not… Entirely."
Sphinx frowned. "What's wrong?"
Hitsu shook her head, and started toward the parking lot. "It'll have to wait until we get home, Sphinx." Hitsu didn't want to break her news in front of Amon, for fear it would take no time to spread through the household.
Sphinx, at least for now, had to be the only one to know what was wrong with her... That she was pregnant.

I'm happy that we were able to visit the Clinic recently. I never believed I'd find myself thinking highly of a trip to the place. Usually, it's little more than agonizing minutes or hours spent with Amon playing with toys by himself and me sitting there watching him, feeling a fool for attempting to be social in a place that I really don't feel I belong.
Not today! Hitsu had an appointment herself, so the three of us walked together to the Clinic. It was perfect weather outside, sunny but not too hot, so we all enjoyed the walk. Especially Amon, since Hitsu hadn't been feeling well for a while she hadn't been taking him out as often as he's used to. I guess to a kid, being cooped up in the house for more than a week feels like much longer.
Once we arrived, another parent and child weren't far behind us. A mother, Ceres, and her daughter. Honestly, if I weren't a mythological creature myself, I probably would have been startled to see a Pegasus trot into the building. This winged horse, Natalia, had Amon's full attention from that moment until a couple of hours thereafter. It really was entertaining, and cute, to watch the two of them run around and play in the park. Amon enjoys playing outside at home, of course, but this time he actually had another child to play with. The differences in form didn't bother him at all. He really is a brave little guy, it scares me a bit sometimes. Amon fears no man... Or animal, in this case.
I wound up carrying Amon home, he slept most of the way back. He had played pretty hard, though, so I was expecting it. I wasn't, however, expecting him to be totally recharged once we got home! I'd hoped to have a little time to relax myself. Never fails. Oh well, maybe he'd get to sleep earlier that night. Alas, only a dream. Lucky for him, I doubt I'd want him any other way.
Oh... Hitsu finally told me why she had to see the doctor, too. She's pregnant. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that, but I've held my tongue. I'm the only one who knows, which I'm both thankful and annoyed about. How long does she think she can hide it? I keep reminding myself that it'll be nice to have another youngster in the house for Amon to play with, but I really think there's going to be serious trouble from this.
