I've been away for awhile, but I'm back to the FSFBG--at least for a little while. I missed ragging on all of your work so much, that I just couldn't keep away.

Speaking of ragging on others' work, I need someone to help me by slicing up and insulting my new piece bit by bit.

I've just finished the first part of a manuscript that I've been working on for over a year. It's called "Five and Lights". Some of you may remember the few chapters I posted earlier in these forums, when I was first forming the idea and testing the characters. Well, the piece has come a long way since then and executes totally different, but the underlying idea is the same. The plot synopsis is as follows:

"An ordinary young man named Giles Rivers is terrified of Death and the Unknown. In a strange chain of events, he meets the dark goddess Anathe, who offers him an irresistible deal--Immortality, Power, and Knowledge--at the mere price of his devotion. Where will this strange bargain take Giles, and what mysteries will he and Anathe's four other servants uncover in the service of their strange new master?"
