Fluttering eyes opened to hazy vision as the youth adjusted to his surroundings. Familiar objects began to float into view as the young Reavan sat up his limp form regaining mobility with each command fired off from his brain.
Just what in the world of Gaia was going on? He couldn't remember a thing... how much time had passed? What was going on? Nothing he could possibly think up helped to clear his fuzzy thoughts as he noted the environment around him. It was indeed familiar but with his thoughts in a jam, he could not put the pieces together. This place was home, it rumbled within him that it was a safe haven but even so a part of him felt disconnected despite the screams in his being telling him, he had finally returned.
Moving from what could only be his bed, he looked at the grayish room, splashes of yellow and varying colors were thrown about in curious and playful ways. This was his room, he knew but how he knew eluded him. With a heavy sigh he slide over to the door opening it with a careful hand. Looking at his gray hands they were small, frail, it seemed he hadn't been getting any nourishment during his elapse of time. "Not good..." he mutter a rasp of sound coming from vocals unused. Clearing his throat he moved to the bathroom, somehow knowing it's direction. There he turned on the faucet, removing the scarf around his face, he splashed himself to refresh while taking a small sip of the cool liquid. It helped to calm his thoughts but he still felt out of time. Gazing at his reflection in the broken mirror he finally noticed his surroundings.
"What happened?" Aside from the room he had awoken everything around him was in shambles. The bathroom he finally noticed was torn to bits, glass from the mirror everywhere, the toilet broken in two, the bath busted and cracked, while the water trickled from what should have been a shower head. Even the faucet he recently used had mold and dirt, cracks and just looked unused. Moving out of the bathroom into the hall the home he knew to be his started to come into focus. The walls were crackled and crumbling, picture frames shattered on the ground. As he moved to the stairs he found his travels to be difficult as the stairway was removed or rather, demolished. Thankful for the ability to float he did his best moving down ward using what was left of the railing to find the rest of the home matching the bathroom and much of the upstairs area save for his own room.
Vaguely the creature expected to be attacked by two strange beings but when nothing happened he knew all was not well. Even the memory of a bouncy, energetic girl came into view but her presence was no where to be found. Overall he found nothing, and could sense nothing. "Thanatos..." the name rolled off his tongue with a familiar sense of love and adoration but also an undertone of worry. Who was that? Where was this person...?
The distant sound of crumbling rubble caught the creatures attention as he scurried to the source of the sound. Finding a pile of what used to be a wall, the slight glint of white caught his eye. Moving to investigate, the Reavan bent down to pull at the cloth only to realize it was much more.. pulling the unidentified object from the rubble produced a cowboy hat. So familiar and yet unable to remember, the creature held it close to his chest sinking low to the ground. "Where are you...?" The only words he could whisper as he sat softly contemplating what to do next. Tears welled in his eyes but he forced them back deciding he would save such acts for a later date. At this moment he was all alone and what he could feel to his very being, that this place was once his home, had been destroyed. It's residence whereabouts unknown...
And so... without realizing it, he wept.
Working to fill things in...
