Hey everyone. Name's Jack. I'm a new member on the guild. Hope to be chatting more with you guys soon.
I'm in a bit of a dilemma concerning my PC performance. When a friend got me into the game, Team Fortress 2, he failed to tell me about the graphical requirements for the game and my computer is unable to handle a lot of the requirements for the game (so $20 went to a waste on my computer pretty quick).
I know that the game plays better on my friend's PCs, but those are desktops and my goal is to find a compromise with a laptop that can play the game relatively well.
The laptop I'm looking at that will be affordable and usable for when I go to college is this one:The Asus laptopIt seems powerful enough to handle the game's graphics and affordable as well.
Now I know desktop computers will play the game better most of the time, but what do you guys think? Is there a better alternative for a laptop that is affordable? Does this one look like it will work?
Please voice your opinion. I appreciate anyone who replies.

Desktops are generally cheaper and more powerful than laptops. But, well, they're not very portable.
If you absolutely have to go with a laptop then I have no help for you, gaming laptops aren't cheap, and they're very very very hard to custom build.

Okay...can someone look at the website and tell me if this will work though? I appreciate the replies but I really want mostly a yes or a no on this particular laptop or other suggestions besides a desktop.
I need a laptop for college but want to play Team Fortress 2 as well. There needs to be a compromise and I need something portable...

If you're rich, get a laptop that can support pretty much all games. If you're poor, you're screwed with your goal.
I use a laptop and it pisses me off how crappy it is. I want a new graphics card, but it's hard to customize it, like BaconMan said... *Sigh*

Get an Alien Ware laptop, you can customize each of the features which will either increase or decrease the price.

Strong, durable, operating system is made only to play games, like vista but sort of dumbed down to only do the task of internet, media, and games.
