Okay.. So I know alot of you are probably like.. yeah right, never going to happen, and you are all clutching the console that you love most, but hear me out.
At the E3 meeting this year (don't know if any of you watched it at all but I did and was BLOWN AWAY) Microsoft unveiled a new peripheral for the 360. It has been code named NATAL and will introduce a whole new kind of motion sensory in video games. This peripheral blows away anything nintendo has and anything sony might have.

That is a link to the video, that they played at the e3 conference showing footage of gameplay and other interactives..
Now tell me you watched that whole thing and DIDN'T get excited! I mean common. If natal succeeds it will be a HUGE leap forward for gaming and technology in one step. It will make all sorts of crazy things possible that were only "cool effects" in sci fi movies. And if it flops they are back at square one, no harm no foul.
And if that still hasn't convinced you check out what lionhead is doing with that technology http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHHaSlGWGS0
I do admit that Milo bit is... well.. a little scary, because it ill be one of the first self aware AI's on the market, software or not.. it's still kinda scary. I mean that IS how the terminators started, and how the matrix started.
At this point in time I am pretty sure anything that can be imagined can be done!

It does look cool but I want know know how they got Milo to do all that stuff. I mean Lionhead is awesome for even coming up with it but that had to have taken at least 3 yrs of work. Plus I would think it would be crazy expensive. And 18+ years of holding a remote in my hand is going to be hard to break. I can't seem myself doing an actual kickflip without me tripping on something and looking like a total dumbass... Especially since our living room is small. It'll be intersting to see what comes of this.

Yeah, this just reminds me of the whole, 'I'm tired, so I'ma sit with my Wiimote' issue.
If I'm playing a game to relax, might not wanna be jumpin' around and whatnot...

I can get the lazy aspect of this.. I really do.. I find it hard to get up off my butt to go to work everyday simply because it would be easier to sit and play video games. However I don't think you guys are really thinking this through... let me post some key words in bold for you...
VOICE ACTIVATION, MOTION SENSOR TITLE SCREENS, SCANNING REAL LIFE OBJECTS, VIDEO COMMUNICATION WITH EVERYONE
umm pretty sure that covers the buzz words.. oh yeah... SELF AWARE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
and even if you don't want to let go of that controller.. it's okay, because it is just an add on, and as with any add on, you will have to purchase the games with "add on capability" otherwise your stuck with a controller.
I think the main thing is that I am psyched this is actually coming out... we're getting closer and closer to things like minority report, gattaca, and equilibrium
maybe without all the crazy laws and unjust persecution.

That looks pretty darn amazing but...No, I wouldn't want it. -hugs my controllers- By all means, everyone else can knock themselves out with it. xD
