Well, apparently you've gone through the world of Gaia and found our guild^^.
This is a guild devoted to the promotion and love of reading and literacy. We love to read, and if you're here...well, guess you do too^^.
Here at Honk If You Love Reading, we're a community of readers. You can start new threads about books, articles, magazines, and other literature that you enjoy...or absolutely hate.
(Now, the thread doesn't have to be about lit, but you know, this is a literature guild...)
Not only is this a place where lovers of reading can collect, mingle, and lurk, this is also a charity of sorts. For every gold donation we recieve, we will strive to do something that helps with literacy and the enjoyment of literature around the world.
Our Story
Six friends in a small town were volunteering at a local library on a hot summer break. At lunch, they decided to go out to the curb and hold up signs encouraging people to "Honk if you love reading!".
And thus, Honk If You Love Reading was born!! **be sure to see bottom of post!!

1.Please follow the Gaia Terms of Service (TOS). No brainer.
2. Expressing your opinions is good--just keep it civil
Example:
"I HATE TWIGGY GOES HOME SO MUCH!!EVERYONE WHO LIKES IT SHOULD GO AND SHOOT THEMSELVES OR SLIT THEIR WRISTS!!!"
A post like that will be deleted, and the person who wrote the post will be given two more strikes before they are permanently banned.
(A (barely)better version: I HATE TWIGGY GOES HOME!!! THAT BOOK SHOULD BE BURNED--IT HAS NO PLOT AND ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE MARY SUES!!!)
3. No harassment--Harassing others IS NOT AT ALL GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH.
4.Chatspeak is fine--as long as you don't post something like "ol8ktsmstrwrdooo" (which is supposed to mean "Oh, look, it's Mr. Weirdo--ooooh!").
5.Do not say "Cool Story Bro" or such comments. They are rude and unnecessary.
The big rules are #1--3. Those are the ones that will get you banned if they are disobeyed too many times.
The Vice-Captains and I will be maintaining a list of those who disregard the rules--and yes, we'll be keeping track of how many times the rulebreaker in question has broken rules.
Breakers will be given a warning after their first and second transgressions. After their third, they will be informed that they are banned.
As for rule #4...just don't do it. Please. For everyone's sanity.
wahmbulance To report transgressions, please PM one of the mods. Please don't make a huge deal of it. In the PM, include the URL, the threadname, page, and post number, as well as the name of the transgressor. Yes, it's a huge hassle, but that's too make sure that we don't have random haters, and that the problem can properly be dealt with.

IMPORTANT: if you need to send us a PM, please send it only to one of the mods. It's a huge hassle for all parties involved to sift through piles of duplicates. If we have to do that, we will go evil gonk scream .
