Duna walked into the camp, and saw the two dragon-hybrids. He was full of fish, just the way he liked things to be, and he had a few more wrapped up in some leaves (help from Arfalgne) for the rest.

"I am sure you are all hungry" he said as he came into their view, "but while you eat, I have something very important to tell you."

Rey was still pretty beaten up by the fall, and couldn't quite get up. He didn't expect to be hurt so badly by his own spell, but that didn't hold him from paying attention.

What is it, Duna? Maybe it has to do something with what I have to say... - He said weakly.

Lili wasn't even thinking in words any more. She was just trying to find where she was, and why she had lost her powers. Elves, she knew, were most susceptable to such things. But why was it?

She remembered. Elves had, so often, felt insignificant and weak because of their inability for natural talent or ultimate control over any element. They never realized the strength they had in their ability to learn so much more than just one element, which was why no elf had ever accomplished this. Could the ones she had met now achieve this goal?

Suddenly, she opened her eyes and knew where she was. Her thoughts and sight came out in a distinct beam which shone through a small stone around the neck of a young elf girl, pretending to be a boy, who had learned to manipulate air, and was just learning ice.

The light shining through the stone revealed these thoughts and her location to all who were present.

"Come out, Arlfalgne," Duna said.

At first there was nothing, but a small green outline appeared behind Duna where his shadow normally would be, and as she materialized, it was obvious that she was pretty much naked. She bowed low, completely comfortable with her clotheless-ness.

"Arfalgne has body-bonded to me, to lend her power to our group. She is normally a spirit of this forest, but as she is ancient, only her power can help us to drive the Shadowlinge back.

Many many years ago, there were dark times where the Shadowlinge were plaguing this earth. Arfalgne's kind were the Spirit Warriors who preceded the physical beings of this planet, but eventually, they all attached themselves to physical objects when Material Beasts began to roam the planet. Material beasts such as yourselves may be able to call a sleeping spirit from their elemental hiding places, but Arlfalgne is of the living plants, and we have no warrior who can summon or talk to such spirits. She has agreed to come with us, and to take me on as her host.

Some of you may know the Elementals as Angels, or Seraphs. They are varied in shape, size, and apparition, but let us not forget that they are Ancient, and full of deep power.

We must start to practice learning summoning, and how to intereact with the Elementals. If we want to beat back the Shadowlinge, we must be able to summon up our allies, who have a similar, yet natural power to overcome and flood Shadowlinge's evil control.

We must rest now, and gather up as much strength as we can."

With that, Duna curled up in a little ball, and Arfalgne vanished, leaving Duna's shadow a tinted green.

Quote:
Name: Ser-Anders

Nickname: Ser

Species: Elf.

Height: 7’5”

Weight: 234 lb

Sex: Male

Hair color/style: Jet Black (Head is bald, but facial hair consists of goatee approximately 2.5 feet long).

Eye color/style: The color of utter darkness.

Body structure: Muscular but trim and fit, like a warrior

Clothes: Black leather pants and ankle boots. A white loose-fit tunic on the upper torso w/ a black leather vest. Also a wide-brimmed hat, also black. Around and under clothing are many leather straps, mostly weapon holsters. Ser also wears a blood-red blindfold.

Weapons: 6 medium sized daggers in vest, two small throwing knives in each boot, a machette-style short sword at the hip, and a hand-and-a-half sword sheathed on Ser’s back.

Magic specialties: Ser's abilities consist of magically enhanced physical ability (i.e. incredible dexterity, un-erring accuracy, enhanced speed, etc.) Ability to see through the eyes of others and transpose his will into very weak-willed individuals (mostly animals) as well as sense the shadowlinge in others. Due to the bonding from L'eauna, Ser is able to summon water in a multitude of forms. Also, the large sword on Ser's back is inscribed with runes, and when activated can slice through the Shadowlinge without harming the host body.

Back Story: Ser-Anders was a noble warrior of a small village that the Shadowlinge possessed. Through sheer force of will, and with the help of L’eauna, a spirit of lakes and small streams who bonded herself to Ser, he was able to drive the Shadowlinge out of his body and his mind. Unfortunately this left him blind and very pale, but with the sufficient gaurding (and eventually training) to keep the Shadowlinge out. He has wandered the land honing his body and his fighting skills in hopes that he will be able to vanquish the Shadowlinge.

((M0rgan, your character is fine.))

The next morning, the grass was moist with dew. Duna's nose twitched, waking before his eyes opened sleepily.

"What is that scent?" he yawned.

'Shh,' said the spirit inside of him, 'Just wait, and pretend to be asleep.'

The moist grass yeilded easily under the strong footing of a tall, cloaked, and blindfolded man now wandering through the tiny village. As he walked, he swung a wooden staff out infront of him, as to not trip over anything in his way. He was mumbling something under his breath, too low to be heard, but as he drew closer, Duna could hear that he was chanting a funeral prayer.

The man approached the small house where everyone was sleeping, and with a slight rapping on the side called in a deep, gruff voice, "Pardon me, those who inhabit this fine dwelling, may I come in?"

Duna could smell the darkness on the man's words, and felt another presence.

Arfalgne's connection to him had intensified his ability to perceive ethereal beings, and he saw a vaguely blue shape attached to the man's body like a slight blue flame licking off his skin.

The others did not appear to notice it, but Duna could feel the Power coursing off of the blindfolded man's body.

He opened his eyes, pupils dilated from the morning light

"Please introduce yourself first, if you would be so kind," he said toothily, as he watched the man hang in the doorway where Duna had etched rune-like shapes to protect from Shadowlinge entering while they slept.

Ser bowed his head low in a sign of respectful apology.

"I am Ser-Anders of the Steel Elves. I felt the presence of darkness here, and I came to investigate. From the feel of several of your party, I can tell that it has left it's mark."

Pausing to shift his eyesight, he saw himself through Duna's eyes. Given the photosensitivity, and fur framing the line of vision, Ser deduced that whomever he was speaking to must either be a Cat or Cat-hybrid. The exact distinction would be made later.

"But please, call me Ser if you preffer."

Arfalgne rose out of the back of Duna, naked as usual and rubbing her eyes, but in reality she was very awake.

"Why are you wearing the blindfold?" she asked, as she had felt something about him slide into Duna.

Duna started, as he had felt like there was something hanging out inside of his mind for a second, and wondered if indeed this newcomer was what he seemed to be.

"Yes, please tell us," Duna purred slightly as Arfalgne's fingers petted him in the most sweet spot ever behind his ears.

Lili suddenly opened her eyes, again. An illusion?, she wondered. Yes, it must have been an illusion. Now she was chained in a small dungeon, she could feel. So then, whoever it was that captured her, could make her so delusioned? This certainly was a powerful elf.

She tried to slip into the air, but something about her chains held her fast. Even when she became the air, something about them held her in place.

Damnit! She cursed. Whoever this was, was a very powerful elf indeed. She wondered, thoroughly, whether someone of this strength had been taken over by the shadowlinge, or willingly allied herself with them. It was too dark to see if there was a way to escape this.

Lucenventus! She called out. The air around her glowed, but, quickly, the power was sapped into the invisible chains around her. But, not quickly enough to conceal the skeletons, once in clear agony, surrounding her. And the incredible earth dragon, seeming imprisoned by an unknown seal.

Lili gulped. Gotta stay calm... she insisted silently. But, still, she was panicking. If this chain couldn't be seen and absorbed her power as it appeared, she, and anyone but the person who put it in place was powerless to remove it. Anything she did would only transfer more power to them.

Lili cursed silently. Breathing deeply, she then calmed enough to speak.

"Hello?"

Ser touched the blindfold over his eyes, and smiled a short, sorrowful smile.

"It is a long tale, but suffice to say that my eyes no longer work the way they used to. I realize how odd it must be to find a blind man walking alone from town to town, but rest assured, after living this way for some time now, I have found ways to get around. Now, If you please, I would like to know who you are."

Before Duna could answer, a Shadowlinge-possessed-elf, which had been creeping up behind Ser, lunged for it's prey. A sweet voice whispered in Ser's head, which made him whirl around and before anyone who happened to be awake could blink, the elf had been pinned to a near by hut, by one of Ser's daggers. Upon finishing the blink, Ser had stabbed the elf through the heart, causing the creature to writhe and shriek. Under his breath, Ser had been muttering, "Wein mec dii Schwurité. Respos imans Friedaix mallichen Opferime. Meanwhile, L'eauna had erupted out of Ser's back and floated above him with her hands on his shoulders, chanting the same words. She appeared as a middle-aged woman, wrapped in blue and green garments, with long, flowwing hair well beyond the swell of her back. Her aura combined with Ser's as they both glowed with power, that flowwed about them like mist.

When he withdrew the sword, the runes inscribed on it glew bright blue, and the wound that should have appeared was nowhere to be found. Ser sheathed the sword, and retrieved his dagger from the now decaying corpse of the previosly possessed elf. Directing his sight once again into Duna (in order to make sure of what direction he was going), Ser walked towards the house where all were waking up now.

"I feel it is best that we vacate this dwelling as soon as possible, because it seems that your, and my, presence is known by whomever controls these creatures. In fact, I suggest doing so very soon."

While Ser could not see the hords of zombified people surrounding the village, he could feel their presence, like a weight against his mind. As he shifted his eye-sight from one possessed to another (in order to get an approximate number), he walked into an openning, flipping out two daggers in each hand. "Hurry; I'll play the bait."

Duna darted out of the shelter, sparks flying off his dark coat. Arfalgne rose up from behind him, chanting something without moving her lips once. Duna filled with a green energy, which made him grow to the size of a small horse, his black coat covered with a bark-like armor stronger than any obsedion.

Arfalgne summoned a razor-sharp wind as she screamed, "Quick, get the wounded and the young ones out of here! We'll hold them off!"

Duna called down lightning from the sky, causing some of the dry underbrush to catch fire, keeping the decayed bodies posessed by Shadowlinge from advancing.

"Well, that fish seems to have come in handy," Duna said, his muscles tensing like tightly strung wires.

He roared off into the horde, his claws glistening with blood.

While not completely trusting these new faces, Ser, eager to see no more innocents harmed by the Shadowlinge, quickly gathered the other members in the hut together, harnessed them together, and slung them over his shoulders. An elf had awakened with a confused look on his face, but Ser simply said, "Please, calm yourself and look around for me." As the elf looked around, Ser saw through his eyes and found the perfect place.

Muttering the words, Meis Beibes Stäce à gebenner, Ser squatted down, and quickly lifted off into the sky, straight over the mass of possessed creatures and into secluded area of the surrounding forest. As he touched down by a pool of water, L'eauna appeared out of Ser's back, glowing with blue power. She encased the sick and wounded in an air bubble, gently placing them at the bottom of the pool, and covering the top in thick algae. The the others, Ser said, "If you wish not to fight, stay here until my return; if you wish to fight and possibly die, follow me."

Ser began running through the trees back to the battle at hand, faster than any of the others could keep pace with, but Ser did not care. It would be better in his opinion if the potential casualties could be kept to a minimum.
