Jean gets very attached to people. Not only emotionally, but she has a habit of reach into their mind and finding out what drives them to do what they do. Even at a young age Jean loved to ask questions. She repeatedly asked her father why the sky was blue once. It didn't end to pretty. Speaking of dad's. You member the old saying daddy's little girl? A side effect of her telepathy is that she is gifted with photographic memory. Because of the memory she is still able to picture what Annie looked like and felt like. The image haunts her to this day.

Being the baby of the family has this place in the world. But for Jean Grey is wasn't anything special. Being the youngest child of John and Elaine Grey, only meant she had something to live up to. Sara was perfect. Good grades, tons of friends, and blonde. Being three years older then jean didn't help either. The young red head lived up to her hair colour. Jean used to have yelling matches with Sara. Wasn't till Sara turned thirteen did Jean stop. The young child had found a playmate. Little Miss Annie Richards. The friendship didn't last long.
On a sunny afternoon in May, Annie was struck by a car. As her best friend laid dying, Jean instinctively linked to her mind and senses what Annie feels when she dies. The trauma almost killed Jeans, but instead it left the young child in a coma. To rouse her out of her catatonic state, Jean's parents seek the expertise of specialists if Professor Charles Xavier. With Jean finally awakened the family tried to live a normal life. While during her sessions, Xavier uses Jean to help locate mutants with his Cerebro Machine. During one fateful session on the astral plane Jean senses young Scott Summers in the orphanage and an aspect of her mind, manifesting in the form of a golden Phoenix raptor, reaches out to him.
Xavier realizes that Jean's young mind cannot yet cope with her abilities, so he telepathically blocks her access to them, allowing her powers to evolve at a more natural pace. Three years later Young Jean began to had sever headaches. Again her parents turned to Xavier. He explained the Jean was a gifted child, and the headaches signaled her powers develpoing. Refusing to believe this, they forbid Jean to see the Professor anymore. But, as the months passed Jean became angry and finally left. She began attending Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters while at her stay here at the school she became one of the first girl's allowed to join the X-men team. Using the codename Marvel Girl, Jean has helped find other like herself.
But, she soon grew restless. At the age of Eighteen she left the school to attend Metro College. She gave it four months, the normal life wasn't for her. The dull world seemed to be empty with out her friends and her teammates. Jean returned to Xavier's school and returned to her mutant life. The normal life she enjoyed.

xxxPersonality: What can I say about this green hair beauty? She's magnetic, in more ways then one. Lorna was a social butterfly. Even at a young age she had this pull that just made you want to know her. She loved to talk to people, even it if was just a small question. Lor was never the type of person to shy away from new people. Along with the social skills, Lorna was a smart a** and jokester.
"She almost aways has something funny to say" said one girl in her class. It was just that easy for her, her only problem? Her stutter and her inability to make long term connections. She never really had any best friends growing up. She kept them all at a distance.Maybe it was her fear of attachment or just getting hurt.

While she lost her main power she gained the ability to absorb negative emotions from the environment and use it as strength, endurance, invulnerability, and the ability to temporarily increase her height and mass. She also becomes more violent during this time, presumably because of the negative emotions she was storing within. Those around her also became more volatile and aggressive.

As far as Lorna knows she is the only child born to Alanna and Mason Dane on April tenth. But what they told her was a lie. Born to Magneto and a human women, Lorna was abandoned a few weeks after her birth. Upon finding the screaming green haired child, Alanna and Mason swore to keep her adoption and her real family a secret. It may have been better if they had just told her. Lorna knew she was differant,being born with green hair wasn't an everyday thing.
Alanna kept Lorna home schooled until Lor wanted ot meet some friends. She was tired of being locked up and never allowed to play outside. So finally her 'mother' broke down and allowed her to enter public school. The first day of school was.... whats the word. Weird. Her green hair was hidden by a dark hazel brown. By the time she reached eight grade, everybody knew the girl. Whether they liked her or not. Lorna was a great student and an even better athlete. By the tiome Lorna was in tenth grade she was an all star runner and swimmer for her high school team.
But, what all changed when she had a sudden urge to travel to San Francisco, where Mesmero is. There she meets a Mr. Bobby Drake who tripped her with a piece of ice and convinced her to come to his apartment.(side note- wiki and marvel said then thing about the partment. So I just place dit in there ^^) Later she discovers the X-Men, and they in turn learn she is a latent mutant. Mesmero and his android Demi-Men capture her and take her to their desert headquarters, with the X-Men in pursuit.When the X-Men attempt to rescue her, Magneto seemingly reveals himself as the leader of the group behind her abduction--and, more importantly, claims to be Lorna's father.
Despite the X-Men's assertions that Magneto is evil, Lorna could not bring herself to fight her own father. Bobby returns from a meeting with her foster parents who told him that her birth parents had died in a plane crash years earlier. She then turns against Magneto. Shortly after, Lorna is captured by Sentinels, but is rescued by the X-Men. Getting rather tired of being kidnapped and passed around to evil groups like a two cent whore Lorna joined the X-men and continued her studies at Xavier's school.
