So, Should I buy the New Rock 10 Eyelet boots with the steel cap? or the Dr Marten 14 Eyelet boots without the steel cap? they are both around the same price so that isn't an issue, I just need help deciding.

The Doc's will probably last you longer, though, I personally dislike the contrast stitching around the sole.

New Rocks have good materials and good construction, and will definitely last 3+ years, but Docs have a reputation for their sturdiness. I know people who have been wearing the same pair of Docs for 10 years. The leather is scuffed and laces had to be replaced, but otherwise, they've hardly broken a single stitch, even with pretty regular usage.

Oh, well 3+ years is fine for me, I wouldn't want to be stuck with the same pair for 10 years. What I am also interested in is comfort, do you know how comfortable the New Rocks are?
