What a cool way to promote legal open carry laws. Makes me want to buy a holster and go out and pick up trash. Almost. twisted

Is slinging up a rifle considered open carry?
To get from my house to ANYWHERE, you need to go on a highway. Needless to say, I travel this road several times a day. I have never once seen Adopt-A-Highway crews cleaning it, but once a month I see the blue bags awaiting pickup. I'm convinced Bank of America has a squad of ghosts on their payroll for exactly this purpose.

In Texas the open carry of handguns is illegal, but you can run up and down the street with a loaded rifle/shotgun in your hands or on your back all day, as long as you aren't using it in any threatening manner.

Cool! I wonder if it would deter some littering. :/
That's kind of weird about Texas. No open carry on handguns but OK! on open carried rifles/shotguns?
Kinda cool but, why not pistols?

Sgt Buckner Is open carry legal in Commiefornia? I would think not. Can you even carry a loaded handgun inside your own home?

OberFeldwebel Sgt Buckner Is open carry legal in Commiefornia? I would think not. Can you even carry a loaded handgun inside your own home? It's perfectly legal to open carry an empty pistol and have a full magazine/clip (depending on if you have a semi-auto or revolver) in your pocket.
But it's the same deal anywhere. There's always gonna be an officer who'll stop you to ask about it.
Just the other month, there was a demonstration in my city where a bunch of people open carried for great justice. It even made the local papers.
