The plants split open the stone tilings of the ground shooting up debris about the two. Dirt clouds and pebbles showered about them. Kurai's footing was almost lost having the tilings tilting about.

Vines shot about the hallway almost confusing Kurai was to how to get around them. Kurai then let out a long sigh. "it's great to have you with me Tomoro, glad to have your abilities here to help us." Kurai then cracked his knuckles, each crack of his knuckles a small bit of fire flickered about his fingers.

"Your not going to cry if I accidentally burn your plants am I?" Kurai's face was filled with some excitement but at the same time anger. Invading the house of the Oakas? Mother Aili, give me strength to rid of these invaders..

"They are after something, you can feel their lack of killing intent can't you?" Kurai whispered over to Tomoro. "Should we really get rid of them?"

Before Kurai could get an answer one of the men charged forward whacking away the vines from the plant. He even tried whacking away the large flower off the large plant with his electric rod. However the flower was too strong and in response let out a large spray of yellow pollen dust at the man. It seemingly was so strong of spray it went through his mask. The man began to cough and wipe at his visor which was covered with yellow dust. seeing this Kurai rushed forward and gave a solid punch forward straight into the chest armor of the soldier. A solid BONK sound was emitted from the contact and the soldier fell backwards into the arms of his fellow men.

Kurai then sniffed the air.

"I dunno, I kinda like that smell..."

Kurai then punched his fists together and at the moment they collided, both of them ignited. He then uncurled his left hand and brightly ignited his left hand's flame. In a single motion of his hand he slided it down and created a large fire blade in his right hand.

"Let's get rocking, you soldiers seem to be in the mood!" Kurai cried out and pointed his sword at them. more combine sounds emitted from the soldiers and motioned his hand in different directions. Before Kurai knew it two of them charged forward lifting up their electric rods.

Both of them tried to flank Kurai coming from the left and the right at the same time. Kurai let out a rather devilish grin and clenched his sword tightly. The grip of the sword broke and the blade fell to the ground. As it struck the ground it exploded upwards in a small pillar of fire. Kurai then quickly threw his foot through it. "Eat FIRE!" Kurai cried out and spun on his heel bringing his foot around his body twice. There a fiery trail followed his foot creating a strange spiral of flame going upwards. The two guards immediately stumbled backwards out of shock.

Without waiting Kurai rushed forward to the one guard on the left and threw forward his fist into the gut of the guard. shoving upwards he lifted up the guard with his punch. A loud strange sound muffled by the filter on the mask of the guard sounded out into the room. Kurai then yanked at the guards mask forcing the guard to follow Kurai's arms movements. Out of panic the guard dropped his electric rod and wildly reached at Kurai's hands trying to resist his movements. Kurai didn't stop and let out a grunt as he threw the guard towards the other one who was approaching over Kurai's shoulder. The guard crashed into other one and threw both of them off balance into the tangle of Tomoro's plant's vines.

"hooo, no challenge if they don't have any intention to fight..." Kurai smiled his demonic life force boiling as the battle picked up. The two guards seemed to be unable to get back up after being tangled up in the vines.

"Whos next!?" Kurai cried out as he turned to the group of soldiers in front of them. The leader seemed un-phased by Kurai's victory and signaled once again to his other men, this time it seemed four of them charged towards Kurai. Kurai just grinned again and shifted his body into a fighting position once again.

"All right.. Come at it.." Kurai muttered to them and then charged at them.

But Kurai's charge was brought to an immediate halt. "eh?" Kurai muttered as something was tugging at his behind and pulling his halloween costume backwards.

"... AHH THE TAIL GOT STUCK ON YOUR PLANTS!!" KUrai cried otu as he turned to see his long felted devil tail caught on the thorns of the large plant.

Aili walked briskly towards the living quarters of the church to pick up some notes she had left behind. The halls she had taken were void of any life. Usually she would have encountered at least two members of the church and greeted them by now. Her steps faltered when the ground suddenly rumbled.

'An earthquake?' Aili wondered, 'No, this isn't a typical earthquake. These waves aren't caused by plate tectonics, more like something is coming above ground at multiple foci... on church property!'

Aili reached into her coat pocked and pulled out a small electronic device and pressed a couple of keys. A three dimensional hologram appeared above the device, zooming into a focus on a red, outlined blueprint.

"That's the last time I'm muting this thing," Aili muttered as she turned around and ran towards the hallway that lead from the secret side entrance.

Two left turns and then down a hidden trap door, Aili found herself landing in the middle of a fight... literally. The soldier beneath her probably did not except someone falling from the ceiling before being knocked out.

In her defense, Aili swung out her staff and whispered, "Don't move". Instantly, the soldiers closet to her froze in their movements and Aili thumped each of then on the head. "How dare you fight in the House of the Oakas" she scolded in the process of knocking them out.

Her student Kurai caught her eye though he appeared to be preoccupied with freeing what appeared to be a devil's tail from a tangle of vines.

"Soldiers! State your purpose or you shall find yourself on the receiving end of a spell powered by this holy house in which you stand!"

With a simple air shackle spell, Aili immobilized a few more of the intruders. The conscious soldiers unanimously shouted a word and they disappeared from the hall, leaving Aili surrounded by just unconscious people, vines, and a still trapped Kurai.
