Per the subject, I'm lookin' for lagit advice for being a father for the first time. My wife is in the navy, stationed in hawaii, while I have been in camp pendleton for the last 16 full months. She just gave birth to our son.

congrats number one, i understand my bf is in the navy and im in the marines. i suggest you just be there as much as you can

dude speaking as a teenager you are in for hell when he reaches about 12-15 he will never let you forget the things that happened because you arae a marine but when he turns about 18-25 he will tahnk you for what yo uhave done for this country

Have fun hun~ that comes when the kid is like 3-4 years old Haha, I guarantee that also comes when they're six/seven months old like our son is. Every age comes a new factor, and when you're a father that's never been around his child....it makes adapting on both sides a little bit challenging.
He's playing super-dad while I work these next few 12 hour shifts. XD
[My husband is the one that posted this thread - so with the reference to "our son" would be in reference to his situation.]
