Well, as of Tuesday night, Final Fantasy VII is on the PSN Store. So, technically, it IS on PSP.

If you're talking about a disc-based release then, I think we all know what that means. *cough cough* NO *cough*

they should put ff7-9 on psp, ds is getting 3-6 basically so it's only fair right? ninja

The DS has 3 and 4 (and 3 was originally supposed to be a PS2 game). There is no plans to bring remakes of 5 and 6 to it yet. Though I would like to have 1 and 2 remade in 3D instead of the same one over and over again.

As far as having 7-9 on both PSP and DS that would be kind of meh.

The DS and PSP are a generation apart. The PSP hardware is close to the PS2s and the DS is more N64. It can be done but you would have to have two different teams working on it.

With the PSP Square could just use Crisis Core graphics engine for it. Also the UMD is more suited of the game. The originals of all three were over 1GB. The DS version would have to have some MAJOR compressions as the largest DS card is 256 MB.

hardly, its merely aimed at a different group of gamers. I have seen, on several tech sites, a high rate of interest in the PSP Go, as they are the type that prefer to DL and go, rather then carry a UMD. It does not fit everyones life style, not even all the people taht write reviews for games and hardware.
Its like me telling an iPhone user they have an over-hyped peice of junk. Is that true? Maybe, its my opinion, I persoanlly think there are better out there and it does not fit my life style, but is that true for everyone? No, because some people actually have a life style that fits it.

The PSP Go! is at the top of it's price. If you want to try and compare it to MP3 players it actually is decently priced. Touch screen MP3 players (which functionality/hardware to an extent rivals the PSP) are priced more then the Go by $50. Then you add in some stuff like having both WiFi and Bluetooth and the price starts to make sense.

Also there is still much more to the PSP Go! then we know. I'm still thinking that the hardware has been kicked up because of what it can do like:

- PSP Go supports game suspension function. You can suspend the game, bring up the XMB and use other functions; and even turn off the system. Later on you can resume the game from where you left off.
- Unlike traditional sleep function, this does not consume battery

This is more then likely a PSP Go! exclusive feature. IMO I bet the PSP Go! will have 128MB of RAM (double that of the current model). Unless Sony has found a way to do it on 64MB.

I also would not be surprised if this also has an OLED screen.

Over all I don't think people are looking at this as a "different PSP". Think of it like touch screen based MP3 players vs. physical button MP3 players. They both do the same things but the touch screen ones are more expensive because of what they do.

Also for those who don't remember when the PSP first came out here in America it was $249.99. $100.00 more then the Nintendo DS at the time.

Honestly I don't like the PSP GO's design. sweatdrop It seems somewhat flawed in my point of view. It no longer resembles a handheld system as much as it did and now reminds me of a phone. I don't know if that's what they were going on but I just didn't like it. That's why I was happy that they decided the keep the 3000 model PSP on sale along with the GO! and I bought the 3000 model for my birthday a month ago. And I am not disappointed biggrin

The slider design IMO was more for Nintendo. NOW if they wanted to make a slimmer DS a slider would be the way to go.

Unless the screen is a touch screen you would NEVER have that thing closed. Since ALL the controls are under it.
