I'm trying to plan my workouts so I get the most out of them.

I don't want to wait too long after eating so that I'm hungry or lacking energy.
I don't want to do it too soon after eating that my body is still working to digest it and I'm not using all of my energy for my workout.
I don't want it to be too late at night either that I'm too tired or again, lacking in energy.
Too early I'm not even fully awake yet.
I try to do it when I will have time to shower, I don't want to have to go out after getting all sweaty, even if I change.

So I'm wondering if there's any kind of researched time frame that's best for workouts. Right now, I do so maybe half an hour to an hour after a meal. I eat, then make a hot cup of tea, and sit on the comp while sipping tea for at least half an hour. The problem, like tonight, is that sometimes my meals are a bit late at night. So while I'm ready for a hot bath followed shortly by my bed. I'm trying to motivate myself to get downstairs on my elliptical for at least half an hour. Getting there is the hardest part, once I start I usually get into and enjoy it quite a bit and feel great afterwards.

Yup yup, me 2, for the time frame that is. I got the elliptical on sale at Canadian Tire for 300 bucks. It was a big investment, and it's definitely not state of the art lol. It's a bit small, as in the stride is not terribly long. Plus it squeaks a good bit. But I watch TV when I use it, and it definitely does the trick. I work more of my body than with a stationary bike. Though I might get a stand for my bike that will turn it into a stationary bike come the winter. Just to mix up the workout a bit. ninja

Then again, now might be the best time to buy a stand since no one wants one in the summer, I might get a good price on one.
