You can no longer depend on one of those ridiculous PMs to inform you of your thread's migration. There's a lot of work to be done, and regretfully, I haven't the patience to inform you individually of your personal shortcomings mis-posts. (I jest, guildmates most darling.)
As soon as we have this mess sorted out, you can once more expect a PM from yours truly, when yours truly sees fit to move a post. Until then, if a thread has gone missing, message myself or one of my fellow mods, and we will do our darnedest to track it down for you. (At least... I will.)
Pleasant skies, my dearest steamy ruffians.

I also haven't been PMing thread creators in light of the reworkifications. Actually, I hadn't been sending PM notifications much to begin with.
Once the dust has settled, though, I can personally assure you all of 2 things:
1) If you KNOWINGLY create a thread in the wrong place, particularly the Central Section, I will NOT notify you if the thread is moved. You obviously know it doesn't belong, so you shouldn't be surprised if it goes missing. Claiming the subforums are too slow, or that you don't know which subforum to use is not an excuse (you can always try the most closely relevant subforum). This doesn't mean I'll move it right away, but don't expect an intentionally misplaced thread to stay where you made it for long.
2) If you make an honest-to-goodness mistake and create a thread in the wrong place, or if it at least seems like you didn't know, I WILL notify you by PM. It's not a big deal if this happens, especially for new members, but hopefully we can all start to use the subforums properly and there won't be any more ambiguity or taboo/stigma associated with the subforums.
Thank you and enjoy as Subforums 2.0 comes to fruition!

awesome, thanks guys!
also, seems to me that, when someone places a thread in the main because the subforums are slow, they are just adding to the slowness, are they not? so the more people that avoid subby's, the more taboo'ish they are...

Precisely. Ones hopes that as we've re-done the sub-forums, and shifted all the threads where they belong, people will start to use them more. And when they do, things will improve very rapidly.

I was personally surprised at just how many video game and general gaming threads there were... Definitely enough for a dedicated subforum. The only problem I foresee with the new subforum system is that the Library covers such a vast array of topics that it may actually become too active (oh, if only!).
fire - link hit the nail on the head~

After much umming and ahing I'm glad I've put all those things in the Library; should help keep it going, and they are alike enough to share the same home.

I think I am still too new aboard this guild to be looking for elusive threads. I don't know what's been said enough to wonder where it was!

I still haven't found the button/ formula to move threads or I'd be working from the old threads forward thread organizing.

Akonite I still haven't found the button/ formula to move threads or I'd be working from the old threads forward thread organizing. It's always on the bottom-left corner of any page of any thread where you have "crew" jurisdiction or higher. It's 3 little buttons... one is a curved arrow for "move thread," one is a pad-lock symbol for "lock thread" (unlocked symbol if the thread is currently locked), and the third is an X for "delete thread." I was Vice-Captain in another guild, and it took me months and months before I noticed them -- that guild wasn't very active, and didn't need much thread moving.
