Moving down here from the aboveground was easy enough. There was no reason to worry about anything anymore, save for the few thousand trees that surrounded the tree they were inhabiting as of late. Trees had been a criteria that had needed to be met, and rocks so Inari could go all Zen garden on them. The river had been his want and this forest had hit all the marks as well as being relatively safe. Though, why wouldn't he feel safe with Inari and his grumpy hanging around. Azure realised he had to be the happy of this operation and he took it seriously.
Teasing Inari made him happy.
Especially clinging to him. He made for a great pillow when it came down to things, and he had a sense of humour when the bad layers were pealed away. Like a moldy old onion. Azure snickered at his thought, a hand held over his mouth. He was draped over a branch in the tree that was favoured to sleep in, his tails whipping lazily around happily. Inari was off....being all OCD on the trees somewhere and the day was warm, sunbathing had been a good idea for the whole of fifteen minutes.
"Inari?" Azure called lazily, sliding his gaze around the tree tops before lazily sliding sideways off the branch, dropping to the ground. He landed lazily and stared around, yawning. Where was the old sourpuss anyway? Was he back over at tree number #542 or something? Most likely. H'ed probably found so errant moss or something and had to claw it away. It was a dramatic change from living around court to living in a tree, but he'd rather be with an old friend then...his ears flatten in disdain as a certain Unseelie crossed his mind. Stupid man and his stupid moods, you were supposed to like the person you kept calling to your bed, not yell and cuss at them. A small growl passed from his mouth as he weaved his way gracefully through the trees, bare feet cushioned by the moss coating the ancient forest floors.
"Inari! You doofus!" He called, stopping in a small half-clearing, looking around. Like hell was he going to scour the forest for him, but he was bored and lonely at the moment. Inari hadn't been around since early morning, it was about time he demanded something from the other. "Inaaaaari! I'm going to count to ten!" He shouted louder, moving past the clearing and starting to walk north again. If he didn't come out he'd bite him again. That always seemed to shock him. A smile flitted across his lips at that thought and his tails wagged in contentment. Oh yes, that had been stupidly funny!
