Photography Contest!
Theme: Summer

Entries!
-is too lazy to make them anonymous-

Misuki Marishima

"Nothing says 'summer' like a fully bloomed wildflower. After all, it would stay so vibrant and full of light with out those hot rays to keep it going. Everywhere someone looks, there's bound to be flowers leftover from spring in the summertime."

"Summer brings to me a chance to go up to Camp Nawakwa, a YMCA family camp in the northern woods of Wisconsin. The week I spend at Camp Nawakwa every year is the only week in the year that I swim. So, the image of the lake on a nice day, with the reflection of the cloud-stained sky and the green woods on the water's surface, says 'summer' to me."

Queen Melethia Dagon

"To me summer is the time for ALOT of strawberries. Strawberries in the middle and northern part of the US come into season in June. A strawberry fan like me looks forward to having them be cheaper. I haven't found a strawberry flavored thing I didn't like. So I’m looking to grabs some juicy strawberries this summer. Best way in my mind to have strawberries, it to just eat them the way it is. Speaking of which I’m going to get me a strawberry right now. smile Enjoy the strawberries!"

Ganon Firenight

"I dunno. 'S a bee pollinating a flower. Bees do that in summer. Freakin' hard to get a good picture of, though."

"I believe this represents summer because of all the luscious greenery in the background and the bright light seen through the tree branches and leafs, and all the grass surrounding it. It gives off the feel of a small Japanese style house in a field of grass and maple trees surrounding it and that reminds me of a nice summer getaway where you can be surrounded by nature."

KuraiKitty

"I believe that this photo shows all the wonders of summer- cool crashing waves to show relaxation in the wake of the warm sun’s rays, the open blue sky to represent endless possibilities, the tourists below truly taking advantage of this period of true enjoyment… but most of all, the fertile land that lets us all truly enjoy the bounties of nature, if even for a moment. Clouds at the edge of the photo remind us all that summer doesn’t last eternally, but the crystal clear waters that lap against the dark shoreline show that through thick and thin, summer provides a gentle reminder to stop and relax, once in a while. Savor summer’s beauties in the tropical setting and see what I saw through the lens. smile

-Taken off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii."

Hatori Miharu

"If anything represents summer it's the sun. But during the summer, the average teen probably doesn't witness the sunrise due to sleeping in late. That's not the case for all teens though, for there are some [un]lucky ones that witness it everyday. Why? Because they get to wake up earlier than they did for school in order to go to morning practice."

"The Path of the Faithful

Perils on both sides
Only faith will guide the soul
She presses onward
