Red_Ronin the true meaning of christmas is celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. also giving to those that truely need it & not wanting anything in return. family & friends. church service. these are what make christmas great not some cartoon santa & flying reindeer. I agree with you 100% Red_Ronin 3nodding

Ah, yes, Christmas has fallen victim to comercialism. I got mad back in november when my parents were putting up a fake tree. Everyone says "Christmas is about love and being with those who love you" when I ask them, but do they know "about" Christmas? The first christmas was the birth of Emmanuel (Whoa, I have the same last part of my name as Emmanuel. Weird), God with us, and that same boy born in a humble manger was nailed to an ugly cross and crowned with thorns and yelled at and betrayed. And did this babe retaliate and strike back? No. He loved us even when we hated him, and he still loves us to this day. What gets me is that people today can't see the difference between love and love. Example, when I told some kids in my town that Jesus loves us all, they made a face and said "ewwww, he's gay!" and ran off. Yeah, I screwed up there, but I blame Valentine's Day for that misunderstanding rofl confused neutral sorry....
