 Conall finally dug up enough of the claymore's handle that he was able to pull the rest of the blade out of the earth. He then covered the hole, and turned to leave. He left the shovel behind, not seeing any reason to hold onto it. With his old partner, slung across his back, he headed back to the battle dome.[Exits to battle dome]

A single figure could be seen trudging through snow towards the abandoned town, drawn by the single, damaged spire of the town's church, unaware how very empty the town was now. walking into the town, and finding no one, the figure adjusted his cloak, then pulled his hood down, to be able to see better. "Laplace, theres no one here..." At the comment, a red glow burst from the man's chest, swirling in the air for a moment, then solidifying into his man form. "Hey, i didnt say that it would be inhabited, i just said there was a town." Laplace told solo, as the pair stood there, glancing around. walking to an abandoned building near the church, Solo brought an arm up and stopped laplace, who was about to step through some tracks. horses, and a child, on foot, by the looks of them. fresh, as well, to not be covered by the snow falling all across Verspya. "Laplace, be more careful. perhaps these people will be able to point us towards a city." Solo said, causing Laplace, who was now pouting, to slid into his spirit form, and slid into his chest, where it would be warm.

Tigris stood in the middle of the falling snow in the town, sniffing out her next destination.

Solo turned, hearing sniffing, and the crunch of snow. seeing a tiger, Solo crouched down, and whispered ancient to Laplace, causing Laplace to form a bow in Solo's hand, which Solo gently drew. to him, Tigris was food, and he was unwittingly crouched where the scent trail led before it left town for the expansia plains.

Being a hunter, Tigris knew not to go the direct path to her prey. Running along another alleyway, she ended up running around Solo on her way to the exit.

Solo watched Tigris, and moved, tracking the tiger through the streets, bow taut, until, finally, he had one chance. firing the shot, it hit Tigris in the paw... but it was the paw made by Fog, the arrow simply bouncing off. seeing this, Solo paled. he had no more arrows, since it was from Laplace...

Tigris didn't care about the man, thinking he was weak. She kept going until she disappeared in the falling snow.

Solo stopped, surprised. why would a tiger pass him by? he had attacked it, and gotten no reaction. following, Solo had a feeling that the tiger was more than just a tiger, and had a purpose...
