So...I like someone who I've liked for years and years...We dated a few times...but I always got dumped... The person flirts with me everytime we talk...but I just learned that they have a girlfriend. *sigh* Part of me thinks it's not worth being their friend. It hurts too much...

Ok a few things.
1) we dated a few times. Do you mean hang out? If so, then that is not dating. If you did actually date then that is a different story.
2) many guys flirt around girls. It is a weird natural thing...I should know...i do it sometimes. Just understand that not all guys will follow up when it comes down to emotions. In other words, find out if he is really serious about you first before taking the next step.
3) If you cannot stand how a guy treats you, let him know. If he cares about you and the friendship then things will change. If not, then leave the poor sap in the dust and find some people who will care for you.
I understand that you are hurting right now, I know how you feel. I felt the same way. I found that finding your "other" might take time to find. But in the end, there is someone out there ready to fill in that gap that we all have. try not to be someone you aren't, and keep your chin up.

What Yukio said. 3nodding and I couldn't put it better myself. blaugh Although keep in mind, most guys tend to be insecure, like, no fully committed, so be alert, cause those guys are well......not bad....just got a lot of things on their minds. 3nodding
