Not to brag or ruffle some feathers, but my Band Director is God. Seriously- he is God and you shall all soon know it! He is the ever-so-awesome, the Musical Magistrate, the one and only..... Mr. Petrisky!

Mr. Hartmetz on his Longranger, we jokingly call him 'The Voice of God'.
Other nicknames are (but not limited to) H, Hartmetz, 'H' ('Ah-ch-ay, Spanish pronounciation lol), Sr. 'H', Banana Man [although he hasn't worn the raincoat in ages...], BFG (Big Fricking Giant), The Big Penguin, etc.

Gotta admit, band will never be the same without the insane genius behind it...or is it in front since he's the conductor? XD

EDIT: Oh...a picture? Right. Lemme dig up the one from Charlottesville...

Gipson is, in a word, EPIC. He's a kid at heart. (He was playing his DS one day during Music Appreciation. xD) Not to mention he always took Catchphrase on the bus with us to football games. x3

It's a shame he's leaving the Duarte school district to go teach in Redlands.

At least I won't have to adjust to the new director since I'm a senior now. >____>; But still, I doubt anyone can replace Gipson, and I pity the rest of the band who have to continue on without him...

My band director got teacher of the year (Out of ALL teachers [English, science, etc.]) for the state of Arizona. confused

My band director sucks. I mean, she's okay sometimes, but overall she sucks. It's pretty sad. We were pretty much that band that made 2's and 3's and got laughed out of competitions. Fun stuff. :/

My bd's so cool she has her own facebook. She came to my house with a plate of sweets and let us keep the plate at Christmas time. Her two daughters are the CUTEST beings on planet earth. Her husband is HILARIOUS. He's one of the most blunt ppl I know. He will tell you U suck to your face if you do.

She knows practically everything bad we do so we HARDLY get away with anything (sometimes.) I consider her my second mother. We call her an a**l jerk and she admits to it. We went to her house and rolled down the hill that was in their neighbors yard.

Mr. and Mrs. Young are the most amazing music teachers I've ever had. Mr. Young has an interesting way of getting his point across sometimes, but he knows what he's talking about. Mrs. Young is just so nice to us all the time, and she always thinks about our well being first. Together the husband&wife pair make the best teachers/band directors ever. Sadly they retire in a few years, but I'll be lucky enough to finish my high school years with them since next year is my senior year.
