The land here was different to where his coalition had lived. They had lived on the side of a mountain, but his new den was set right on the edge of the human territory and the forest. He had explored the human lands a little, but only with Gold Eye and his human as the other humans tended to be too curios of him for comfort... Not his human, their human, Gold Eye said; all of them who used the den shared the humans. It was like being part of a new coalition, a nice feeling.
Nevertheless, he was enjoying doing this bit of exploring, off into the forest, alone. It was a warm afternoon with a light breeze and no wind; peaceful. The ground was soft under his paws, and the air smelled good. Long tail held high, Xenokrates - or Night Shine depending on show you asked - padded up to the edge of a pool of water that must have been cause by rain the previous night and paused to take a drink.

 Starlight groom her neon yellow hair and sigh. It was a cool afternoon with no wind which she like. The wind usual mess up her tail hair and it would make her feel uneasy. If everything was not in place she would have a fit. Maybe this was why she didn't get along with many other ponies, it not like she didn't care for them it was just that if something on them was not in it right place she would get upset.
She got up and look around, noticing that she had trail off to the part of the island that the humans where at. She hated to be seen by the human race they would come over to her and act like they never seen a pony palui before. Before even seconding guessing herself she walk away from the part of the island that she was just at and spotted an usual looking palui drinking from a pool of water. She jump into a bush next to her and started to spy on it.

His thirst slacked, Xeno lifted his head and sat back to wash a paw. After some moments of careful licking, he froze. No wind, but that bush had just rustled. A low growl escaped the sleek palui throat, and his markings and eyes flickering to red.
"Who is there?" he demanded, tail lashing, eyes fixed on the bush. "Why do you hide yourself from me?" Was it a palu-eater? Did it think to kill him, like his had his family? He might not be actively hunting them anymore but if one hunted him... Well, he was not responsible for the consequences of its foolishness.

Starlight began to shiver as she saw the palu turn a different color. How is that possibleStarlight thought. She had never encounter a palu that change color. What.what if he trying to hurt me...or worst try to eat me... she shiver at that thought. She just wanted to watch the strange palui..She never meant to make it mad. She just had never seen a palui like this one before. She gather up some strength and said in a quite voice,"I'..I'm not..n..not here to hu..hurt..you..I was just only looking at you. I was just wondering what kind of palui you are. I have never seen one like you."
She started to back up just encase, if he started to attack.

"Oh..."
The red colour dulled slowly, and Xeno's markings faded through an unattractive muddy hue as they returned to a calm teal green. "My apologies starred one," he said with a bow of his head, "I thought you were a palu eater." Feeling rather embarrassed by his sharp reaction, he sat back on his haunches and curled his tail about his paws. "I was Changed by a sky rock," he went on, feeling he owed the pink palui an explanation of what he was given he had been so rude. Not on purpose of course, but rudeness was rudeness whether you meant it or not.
"I do not know of any other palu-palus like myself, so it is not surprising that you have not seen one like me before... I am named Night Shine, or Xenokrates; I do not mind which you prefer to use."
