Name: Ishmael Kheph Nickname: Ish, Ishi Age: 22 Title: n/a Martial Status: Single Job: Bookstore Owner Gender: male Species: Feline/Human
Personality: Ishmael is calm and collected, his words soft, and rather purrlike. The air of which he holds himself can irritate others, because it is very rare for him to loose his well kept demeanor of nonchalance. Gaining his trust is extremely difficult, since he almost caccoons his inner self from others. He will talk to people, yes, but never holds an in depth conversation about his own life. Because of this, he is a very mysterious person, but then again, who isn't mysterious in some way? He does tend to be fairly honest when he feels like it, and only lies when he feels it will save his own skin. He is selfish, but he will care for those he loves before himself, occasionally, at least. Other than that, it is survival of the fittest.
Physical description: Ishmael has a dark tanned skin and slender body. He's not particularly what he thinks of as tall, standing at only 5'10". His eyes are very noticably cat's eyes, amber with the oval pupil, that stands out against his dark skin. His hair is a very dark brown that he wears shoulder length. He will occassionally pull it back into a ponytail to keep it out of his face when he needs to. He's got a few scars, on his arms and on his torso, but none of them are very large.
Most of his clothing are mismatched, since he aquires it from various places, but Ishmael swears that it's the only way to get a truly comfortable outfit. Even his boots are mismatched, since he had lost the right boot of one pair, and the left boot of a different pair, and decided to wear them together instead of aquiring a new pair.
History: Ishmael was born to a family that didn't really want him, and that only kept him because they were worried about what their family and friends would say.
He grew up about average, despite never feeling like he had a home with his family, but as he grew older, he spent less and less time at his home.
When he was twelve, he had stopped returning home at all. It just wasn't worth it. He wasn't on his own for very long though. He had been spending alot of time in a small bookstore, and once the owner, Mitya Izotz, had realized that the boy had no other place to go, had offered the boy a place to stay in exchange for doing a few odd jobs around the place.
At first, Ishmael barely accepted the offer, but as he grew closer to Mitya, he found that he spent more and more time there. He had found a mentor in the old bookseller.
About 6 years later, Mitya died, and much to his surprise had left the occult bookstore and all of his possessions to him, Ishamel. Apparently he had become like a son to the older man, and was the only one that he trusted to take good care of his little shop.
