Since the Dragon and Kais also has a funky ninja headband, should I start buying those? I mean, maybe the prices will go up since most gaians can't afford the ninja head band.

I would say yes, but you should be constantly selling high and buying low. You can make a lot doing that. 250 of them sell a day. Maybe keep a few in storage in case people get Naruto crazy again.

If something seems even the least bit interesting, I grab a couple extra when I see them at very low prices and stash them away. It's usually not very expensive and it could be very lucrative down the road.
Worse comes to worst, they sit in my Storage Locker for a LONG time.
(Remember those Labu necklaces that people couldn't give away for 1g? That are now selling for 500g? That's one heck of a return.)

This item used to be pretty high so I guess it has nothing to do with the dragon and kais, but the starfish shurikens looked pretty interesting. I'm keeping them for awhile, but sadly it dropped down to 9k xD

The problem with the Starfish Shuriken and all the other fish drop exclusive items is the same problem as the Brown/Pink/Blue gift box items: they keep making more of them.
Sure, they're not as easy to obtain as store items. But think about it: the more people there are on Gaia, the more gift boxes are being given out. (The more aquariums are being run). The more gift boxes there are, the more, say, Angelic Camisoles there are. Even if the Angelic Camisole is only one out of every 10000 boxes, there are easily that many of them being given out.
Over time, the supply of Angelic Camisoles is growing to meet demand. So the price is dropping. And there are still more Angelic Camisoles being created, whether people want them or not.
(Replace "Angelic Camisole" with "Starfish Shuriken" and it's still valid.)
Look at the Goldfish Scarf - started out well over 10K, now you can get one under 500. My prediction is that ALL the fish items are eventually going to end up this way. It'll take longer for things like the Ninja Fish drops which have a lot of demand right now. But I'm looking at the Fresh Grass Skirt: two years ago you couldn't touch it for under about 120K. Low price in the MP right now: under 3K.
So no, I don't think it's going anywhere 30K ever again - unless they remove it from the list of potential items created by the Starfish drop. As long as the Starfish keep making them, the price will keep going down.

Did you know that the same amount of boxes have been given out since the beginning of gaia? I think I read about that during the time that everyone was going crazy with those threads that listed the links to retrieve missed gift boxes. Threads could be found with promises such as "Click this and go to your invo to find a gift box waiting for you!" Anyone remember those?
Even as the amount of users grow, the amount of gift boxes given out remains the same. That's why back in the early days of gaia, some members used to get them all the time. Now that there's more members it's more difficult. I don't know if you knew this already, just thought it was interesting to mention.
But yeah, now that gift boxes have started to be placed inside other giftboxes and given out during booty grab they've reeeally started to drop in price.
