So the results for EFN Round Two have just been posted after a VERY long time of waiting.

Looking at the results, I was disappointed, but not bitter, to discover that Zeurel and Mr. Tea-and-Crumpets got knocked out of the competition.

However, I think the judges are right about the Zeurel vs. Kalkie fight. Kalkie's entry was beautifully drawn and well thought-out, and Zeu's movie, while breathtaking, felt somewhat half-hearted (apparently, he actually DID lose interest in it at one point). Also, even though Zeurel had said that Kalkie could kill off Spoiler if the story called for it, she didn't, and still made the entire thing believable without sacrificing the personalities of any of the characters. I loved Zeurel's entry, but I do agree that Kalkie and Ysef deserved to move forward.

As for the Mr. Tea-and-Crumpets vs. Izuma matchup, I felt that Mr. T&C should have won. I thought that his entry was more effective than Izuma's, even though she is a far more detailed artist than he. I like Roz, but I felt that Inverted should have been able to continue.

So what are your thoughts, folks? No badmouthing, please. ^^;

Aw, geez. . . two of my most favorites knocked out in one round. . . *Sad*

I like Ysef, though. . so I'm not too awful bummed that he won against Black Ace-- though, more of Spoiler's story would have been nice.
But I'm reeeeeeeaally bummed that Mr. Inverted got eliminated *Sigh* . . . crying

Aw well. . . at least St1x is moving on!!!! x3 *Goes to congratulate Spooky*

I completely agree on the judging for Zeurel v.s Kalkie. Her entry was by FAR more superior to his, and it proved to be more in-depth and suspenseful than Zeu's gore-obsessed flash animation.

I mean, I love Spoiler as a character, and with my first glance at Mr. Zeu's animation, I thought, "Well of course the animator is going to get through even though this entry LACKS so much. -siiiigh-"

But when I had the privilege of stumbling upon Kalkie's comic entry, I was completely blown away. She not only had her character's internal conflicts and storyline take effect beautifully, but she also kept Spoiler alive; which is an act that could seem rather ridiculous considering Spoiler's... well... BIG PROBLEM. But this act of mercy was also a big risk. She would have to make the act of keeping him alive as convincing as possible. And even with this huge expectation place on her shoulders, she pulled it off spectacularly.

Now, concerning Roz v.s Inverted.

I read Mr-Tea-and-Crumpet's entry, and I'm sorry to say, but I was disappointed beyond belief. The whole encounter Inverted has with Roz seems almost unreal and too quick. It lacked the flow and overall character development of Izuma's entry. Now I know that everyone is trying to point fingers at the fact that Izuma is the better artist (and that being the only reason that she won), but I think that story and dialogue played a key point in both entries. And if taken into consideration, Izuma's entry proved to be superior in both aspects. Inverted is an interesting character, but Roz (being one of the only humans in the competition), has a lot more going for her in the next round, and was a perfect choice to keep around.

So yay for Round 3! Let’s hope to see some amazing entries!

I agree with your reasons as to why Kalkie deserved the win, and you already know my opinions on Zeu's entry so i'll leave it at that. XD

As for Izuma and Mt. TaC...I think TAC should've won, I felt that his entry was more of a battle then Izuma's and it brought out a bit more of Nevara's story and the appy's plot. Now it was visually bleh and and it did look rushed, so i'll give you that.

Izuma's entry was visually pleasing and her version of Mr. I...well lets just say I squealed like a school girl when I saw him sweatdrop but her story was mostly about Roz's insanity and I didn't get much more then that from it.

But oh well, I enjoyed both of their entries and I can't wait to see Izuma go up against Stix...no strangling this time Rozzie!!

Also I didn't know Roz was human...I thought she was a...zombie or something.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts on her entry, I think. *Laughs*

Ohmigawd, I can't wait to see ST1X go up against Roz. . . GO, ST1X!! x3

I do have to confess: Inverted looks so adorable in Izuma's style! Maybe if we're lucky, Roz will let him tag along in future entries.

WTF ARE YOU TWO ON ABOUT? karl you are homo

No but yeah but seriously Zeurel's entry was crap. I didn't like it. No feeling just allllll guts and UGLY.

And hey! I liked TaC's entry CLARICE. DANG. But no Izuma's wasn't that bad either. She had a lot goin' for her because her art is so stellah. Gosh can Inverted actually look THAT FINE? oh man

And honestly, I thought that both of their stories and writing was awesome. But I could see where you would be going with the whole "rushed" thingy. But I think that Inverted shoulda gone through. He had more of an interesting story to follow, and a HELL OF A LOT more potential to have some awesome drama happen later. Roz is just gonna be the crazy lady on the left who ended up murdering her sister. BUT I'M NOT SAYING THAT ROZ ISN'T COOL she's ballin' guys

Why must you insult me every chance you get?

I didn't think Zeurel's entry was bad at all, I loved the action and everything and there was even story depth at the start with Black Ace's speech. But it did feel like it was lacking heart.

I'll end it here though, before you find something to harass me with. XD
