Name Meaning:
Iris - A flower/means "rainbow" in Greek
Sophronia - Foresighted, modest and temperate
Age: 18
Appearance: Iris's hair is white and falls a little past the shoulder. It flips up at her ears and at the right side of her bangs. Despite her wealth, she leans towards simple clothing, her favourite outfit consisting of a dark purple sweater, a shorter white jacket lined with gold, and black leggings that end mid-shin. She wears simple - and comfortable - black shoes.
Slung over her left shoulder is a small, dark purple-blue bag with a golden flower embroidered on it. Iris keeps all her money, pokeballs, and other valuable possessions in it. As for other items, she keeps them in a white backpack that she can usually be seen lugging around.
An item she always is wearing is a silver tear-shaped pendant on a golden chain. It can always be seen hanging from her neck.
Personality: Due to her upbringing, Iris tends to be naive when it comes to the real world. She is a curious young woman who is often too trusting for her own good.
Iris always takes care to be polite, as manners seem to mean a lot to her. While she seems to want to blend in with "normal" people, her tendency to bow, curtsy, and her table manners usually give away that she is brought up in a wealthy household.
Likes: Iris loves tea of all kinds (to the point where one can say that she's addicted to it). She also enjoys reading, as she wants to gain more knowledge of the world around her.
Dislikes: Cooking. Iris completely and utterly fails at cooking. If you don't want your house to burn down, it's best to make sure she never sets foot in your kitchen. She also mildly dislikes the piano. While she enjoys playing it, the amount of practice that she had to put it has made her rather sick of it.
History: Iris's parents own a large and well-known company. As a result, the Sophronia family has always been quite rich. Iris grew up having various lessons such as etiquette and music. Her whole life was packed into one, neat little schedule. Piano practice at this time, violin lessons at this hour - everyday was as predictable as the last.
The only time anything seemed to change was on her 10th birthday, when - after some insistence from Iris, with Valerius backing her up - she received a Growlithe for her birthday. The girl was obviously delighted, and the two bonded quickly.
As the years passed, Iris eventually had Faris evolve into an Arcanine. However, she was beginning to get rather bored of her life in the mansion. Aside from the occasional party (where everyone she met seemed to be both stiff and boring), there was rarely a break in her organized schedule. Finally, when Iris turned 18, she informed her parents that she wanted to travel with Faris.
Not unexpectedly, her parents protested. At first they attempted to convince her otherwise. Then, when she refused to be swayed, they outright banned her from the idea, claiming that "it's not a ladylike thing to do".
Not being the type to give up, Iris told them that she was going regardless. In an attempt to stop her, her parents took Faris, believing that she wouldn't leave without her companion.
This was true, as Iris didn't want to leave her Arcanine behind but, overhearing what had occurred, Valerius - a bodyguard who had practically become her brother - urged her to go on, promising that he would find a way to bring Faris to her.
With this promise, and a little hesitance, Iris left the mansion.

Valerius - A family bodyguard. Despite their differences of status, Valerius and Iris are much like siblings. Valerius has come to watch over Iris as more of an elder brother than a bodyguard. Along with Faris, Valerius is the only one she confides her secrets to.
Alice - A young girl who Iris often worries about. She was concerned when she learned Alice had to eat trash (mostly because she was brought up in a wealthy household), and usually offers to buy food for the other girl. Her first friend.
Pokemon:
Faris - Iris's first Pokemon. She received him as a gift when she was young, and the two were inseparable since. He is usually out of his Pokeball.
While he was forced to stay back at the mansion at first, shortly after Iris left home, Valerius managed to track her down and reunite the Pokemon and the trainer.

Iris - The two have more of a brother-sister relationship than a servant-master type. Because of this, Valerius is easily concerned about the girl's well-being.
Pokemon:
Faris - Iris's Arcanine. While Faris usually doesn't take to people very quickly, the years Valerius has spent with the Sophronia family has resulted in a friendship between the Arcanine and his master's guard.
