When she had backed up enough, she turned around to begin a full retreat. When she did however, she saw that the two women had come out of whatever alley they were in, one of them still in the arms of the other. For now, they seemed like the right group to be with. Keeping her senses on those behind her she slowly approached the two.
"I will explain later, but I think it best for now to come with me."
Her voice had become shaky but remained low enough for them. Her tone had heightened to a soft squeak. Her white dress had become soaked through completely and her hair saturated with the rain.
'I have a hideout close by. We can rest and regain our strength there if you wish?'
This time the words did not escape her mouth but flooded the minds of the two women. She sighed again, as this night had been a night she ever had to use her mind for so much at once.

At this point,Kali was pretty sure she didn't have any other option but to trust the woman, possibl the male if he decided to accompany them. She figured she couldn't have too many allies at this point. Ashford was going to come after her once he realized his pet was gone, the Rebellion and Regeneris was after Nuria, and things seemed to be getting worse by the minute.
"If you think to betray us in any fashion, I will make sure you die in the most gruesome way I can imagine....and I will draw it out," the serious tone of her voice was enough to send shivers down the spine of the mos hardened criminal.
With that said, Kali walked over to the female and male to see and end to this horrific night.

Serenity looked at her. This woman was very fearful. That Serenity could not help but know as it came off in waves off each of the woman. Her promise and threat seemed genuine though. Serenity had to keep her eyes on them. She nodded in response.
She motioned to a door at the end of the alley to the right. as she unlocked it with her mind pushing it open. The man who had thrown the dumpster remained a mystery to her. He would have to wait until another time. Right now, helping these two woman became the priority.

[Rayen]
The only sensations that Rayen was aware of throughout the flashes of consciousness in the night was pain, ever so excruciating pain, and nausea. A number of times she had fought down the urge to vomit over who she assumed was the same german, blue-skinned man that she had met that evening, successful only because the strength required to reject anything from within her gut was expended elsewhere.
She'd always been healthy, and a fast enough healer, but these injuries were by far the worst that she had suffered in anything that she could remember. Such a simple task it had appeared, appropriating one Regenisis drone that had already been neutered, but complicated ever so suddenly with the appearance of mutants that she'd never seen before – and so willing to use their powers against her. That hurt too, emotionally, though she'd never show it. She knew full well that the Resistance was not known to be the 'good' guys, their tactics had never led to a happy ending for anyone, but it didn't matter. Those that saw the truth, recognized that sometimes doing the wrong thing for the right reasons did justify the means in the end, were her allies – those that did not, were not.
But none of those thoughts seemed to be able to stay, those that did were chaotic. Faces, both familiar and not, ran past her sight as it faded in and out. Smells too, blood and sawdust, and somewhere far distant she could swear she heard bells...at some point, though she wouldn't remember it, she grasped onto the arms that held her. It was a weak grip, but the strongest she could managed, and she mewled into the chest that her face had come to rest against. Deep in her pain induced delirium she was scared, as scared as she had been that day she'd first changed, and even this stranger's arms were better comfort than the loneliness she remembered from that day. Always so lonely..

[Nuria]
Nuria steeled herself against the panic that had come over her, still shivered from the touch of the rain more than anything else, and did her best to take comfort in Kali's presence. She trusted her, as only a naïve child would, and she would follow her. Even into the house that they were headed towards she would follow.. oblivious to much other than Kali's touch.
It was as if she was dream walking, aware but unaware at the same time of anything and everyone around her. The only thing that was solid, reinforced by the touch of the other woman, was Kali. Anyone else in the alley had either faded away or wasn't in her mind at the present time.
It was so damned cold, she thought. She was a fire mutant, it was meant to run through her veins, and she had nothing to protect her from the wetness and coldness that she was facing. Empowered she would never have felt the touch of the rain, it would have evaporated into nothing before it even touched her, but without it she was a victim to it like any small child or infant would be. Her skin and her body was unconditioned to it and she could almost swear that she could feel long dead cells attempting in vain to keep her from contracting a sickness from the exposure. She'd never been sick either, and wondered if she would be and what it would be like.
“Kali...” She said, simply. Nothing else, just the name. It was all she could manage in her current state and all she needed to say to communicate that right now, at this moment, her life was in that woman's hands.

Serenity motioned for them to go with her. It would not be long before the other people would follow and chase after them. They had to get out of there. She could only do so much and the woman holding the girl looked questionable in terms of combat effectiveness. She knew the girl being held by this Kali was in no shape at all for anything. At this point she had little hope for her unless they got to safety and Serenity could offer any help she could.

They were close now. The resistance had only a few major medical facilities placed throughout the city but they were well known to members. Even someone like Victor who had only been part of this areas organizations for a few months now knew of them. As chaotic as a group of fighters known as the resistance sounded they were actually well organized and made up for technology with ingenuity and cleverness. Buildings bore markings of graffiti that held within them small quick symbols telling of local resistance safe houses, impossible to understand unless you knew what you were looking for. Other odd and simple things like the way pieces of junk were place together to form a shape when looked at from a certain angle. All these things were in place to help fleeing resistance allies get away or find help from the constant battle that waged outside.
Finally they had arrived at the medical facility. The blue skinned mutant knew this one well since they had helped him after a brief encounter with Regencies when he first arrived, which helped since he could do small ports to areas he knew rather than just seeing them but it was only quick jumps rather than his usual long distance ones. Victor circumvented the door by flashing right to the other side and caused the guards to all grab their weapons, whether they be powers or firearms, and hold them right at the pair.
"Calm yourselves, I have vounded. She needs medical attention vright avay," the guards relaxed enough to help Victor support the woman as they carried her through the labyrinth of tunnels that lead to the medical center proper.
After several moments walking and seemingly like they were back tracking at times they came to an open area that was mostly soft white colors and had many beds waiting for patients to occupy them. They placed the woman on the closest bed and Victor quickly covered her with a nearby blanket as she was rolled to a group of doctors. Victor stopped short as a swarm of medical mutants took over and the blue skinned mutant did the only thing he could do at the moment. He found a nearby chair and brought out the small crucifix that hung around his neck and began to pray.

[Rayen]
She was running through the woods again. Naken, afraid, the branches from trees and low-laying bushes scratched at her and left terrifying marks that bled more than they should, the ground seemed to burn with every foot step, and the noise of her fears over came her until she was nearly deaf. There were woods and then there was a factory. She was running again, he was just behind her, and she had to keep running. He was yelling at her to keep running, keep going no matter what happened, and then his words became calm... from frantic and fevered they became soothing, a chant rather than repetition.
Rayen opened her eyes slowly, blinking back the brightness of the medical facilities, and without a sound she turned to the voice she'd heard beyond the veil of her dreams. It was the blue-man, the teleporter. He must have brought her here, though she didn't remember, and he had waited for her to wake...
She groaned loudly as her first attempt to move pulled at the bindings that had been wrapped around her mid-section, ripping at the mending flesh, and the ribs that had been set protested any rising of any kind from her. Slumping back against the half-decent pillows, scavenged no doubt from an abandoned home rather than a hospital, she cursed openly. Without closing her eyes she attempted to make a mental note of what she could and could not feel broken without moving anything at all... her back wasn't, nor was she paralyzed... she breathed a sigh of relief for that at least. She had the movement of her right arm but her left, the side that had collided with the dumpster first, wouldn't respond. That hip, too, resisted her but did not lay dead entirely as she shifted ever so slightly.
So she would be down for some time then... her eyes turned to the man responsible for bringing her here. He was blue, yes, but somehow far more kind than any that would not have suffered the open hostility he surely must have for growing up so obviously a mutant. He'd brought her here, she likely owed him her life, but...
"Where are the others? The girl, the one working with Regenisis, and the energy-sucker from before..." Don't you dare tell me you left them, her eyes spoke, hardening after only a few moments of being awake.

Casey did not mind the rain most times, day or night. he had grown up in a two soaked in rain eight months out of twelve, and two of the left over months were filled with snow instead. To Casey the rain was a somewhat benevolent force of nature cleaned and refreshed the world. that was most times, and now was not one of those times. High above the city, riding a compact and collapsible glider too small for normal flight without aerokinesis, Casey flew in lazy circles. he was trying to spot a contact that both had information on a Resistance safe house but also the names of who leaked the info and, to some extent, who they told. the only problem was that Casey could barely see thirty feet in front of him, much less the two-hundred and thirty to the nearest rooftop.
with a sigh he griped the leading edge of the wing harder and, with a mental nudge, sent an updraft under the left wing. banking hard right he curved round one of the few buildings he was not flying above. As darkened windows flashed by he debated on weather or not he would go in side and sleep, he didn't have any deliveries set up but at the same time if something came up it would be unpleasant to to get up and go somewhere on short sleep.
passing the building altogether, Casey formed a large updraft a head of him and rode it up. As he spiraled higher his eyes swept the rooftops, looking for the five flares that would mark his rendezvous point. a flicker of bright red-white light to his right caught his attention. making the appropriate adjustments to the air currents, Casey banked to the right. there on the roof tops about a half mile away was four flares in a square with a fifth in the center moving. Casey fell into a steep and fast dive that made the wind whistling by his ears and the rain look like it was falling up.
with a twist of his body Casey brought the wings perpendicular to his direction and using powerful wind gusts he landed gently near his informant. quickly folding up his glider, Casey the walked over to his man.
"So, is the information you have any good?" He asked with a faked southern drawl and a smirk on his face. As his informant spoke, telling him of a vanilla human how got greedy and betrayed those he said he would help, Casey lost his smirk and slowly replaced it with a deep scowl.
"Thanks for the info. If you can, please keep your ear to the ground for more." Casey polity, in what can only be described as a northwestern accent, handed the man a roll of 20's and walked away. with his face still set in a scowl he unfolded his glider and pushed himself of the edge of the building with a strong gust. after a few seconds of falling he gained control of his glider and pulled up and, with a strong push of air, flew over the city on the direction of the slums.

[Rayen]
Rayen could be many things, literally, but in this particular moment it was a mixture of annoyance, aggravation, anger, and most clearly pig-headedness. With another grunt and slight cry of pain she sat up, easily dismissing the fact that this was now partially capable because of this unknown mutant's help, and she turned away from them both. Though she'd never admit it, Rayen was also quick to turn to jealousy.
"Help yourself." She barked, gathering up the thin blanket around herself and leaving behind the blue mutant's coat.
If this place was so unguarded that ANY mutant could walk in off the streets then what was to keep Regenisis from doing the same? That said, if it was so easily found then it was even more dangerous than she'd already thought to remain there. For some unknown, unnamed mutant girl to find them, because following a teleporter who had used his powers to jump from rooftops and cover greater distances, then staying here was as good as a death sentence.
Though the girl's "ability" seemed to help it was no miracle. It was painfully clear when her feet touched the ground, a searing pain sparking and ricocheting around in her bones as her weigh came down with her sudden movement, and she bit back both a cry of pain and resisted the urge to stumble. Her left arm still hung somewhat useless at her side, but she made due with her right as she kept the blanket around her small body.
She didn't even give the blue-skin time to answer her interrupted question as she shambled off, ignoring the both in a fume of anger and maybe just a little bit of disappointment.

[Agent Foster]
Jacob liked the smell after the rain usually, it brought with it a clean smell, a fresh smell, but all he smelled on these streets was wet dog and singed hair - still. He'd returned to the scene of the previous night in broad daylight with the same team of agents, six of them, and while they scoured the surrounding buildings one by one he remained in the middled of the street. Waiting.
--brrring.--
His handheld was in his hand and flipped open after the first ring.
"Foster."
"I know who it is, Jackass. Who else do you think I'd be calling?"
Jacob's eyes traveled along the rooftops as he recognized the voice, looking either for a distraction from the particularly despicable man or a reason to lose the call - or both.
"Dalton." Was his simple response.
"I lost something last night. You're going to find it Agent Foster."
By the Lord's tone and his sweet and simple choice of phrasing there was no doubt on Jacob's mind that Dalton was referring to one of his expensive, and dangerous, 'pets.' He could feel his stomach turning over in disgust already but there was no way he could say no, not to this man. Of course the fact that whatever girl it was that had gone missing had managed to do so was a curiosity.
"I thought you kept your pets on tight leashes, sir." He said coolly, maintaining a level of calm and a note of derision from his voice as he said it.
There was a long moment of silence on the other end and Jacob could nearly taste the anger in the Lord at the simple statement. Finally,"Your reputation proceeds you for your abilities, Agent Foster. Let's hope your curiosity doesn't put that reputation at risk."
Jacob's eyes lowered to the asphalt at his feet and his knuckles whitened over the handheld. What he wouldn't have given to be getting this order face to face, the opportunity to see Dalton fuming over the escape of his toy and the ineptitude in all that he had gambled in keeping it -- her. Oh, Jacob knew well enough the Lord Dalton's appetites, he'd run into interference in his own cases on account of them, and this was a pleasure that he would have enjoyed witnessing.
Except now that that pleasure was dying, so was his smile. He had to bring her back. Grim faced and clenched teeth barely moved with his response. "I'm on it, sir."
He didn't wait for Dalton's smug or gloating response, ending the call and replacing the handheld into his pocket. With a sharp whistle he caught the attention of the closest agent and signaled her back to her car, and motioned for her to call in the rest. Whatever unspoken questions on her face would wait for later, just like Nuria would, for now they had yet another rogue mutant to find.
Jacob sighed as he slipped back into his seat. Days like this felt like the world was unraveling by its threads.
