Kurtyr (Kur-Tear)

The moon city, located in the south east region of Muranthia. Being the largest city in the east, as well as the place where Mistress Nameh Durkes resides, this is also the name of this particular side. Its people are known as Kurtyrins. Nameh’s esteemed advisor is Demisa Holen.

Kutyrins (Koo-tear-ins) They are quite a proud group of beings who have a tendency to value individualism a good amount. Their culture focuses a little more on the scholarly things rather than the more artistic things in life, though they do enjoy the artists that they have. The technology of the Kutyrins normally strives for more practicality over beauty in reflection of this. The popular style of music in the Kutyr side of Muranthia often has darker undertones, but seem to have a sort of tranquility or serenity about it.

User ImageNameh DurkesNameh is a dark elf, standing at 5’6” tall who has ruled Kurtyr for about 450 years now. She’s an elegant woman who won’t step down to any man. While stubborn and has the tendency to feel higher than those around her, she is a gentle soul who wishes the best for her people. Some of the Kutyrins have some biases about her, being a dark elf and all, but she does her best to ignore these sorts of things. Her personal Kulgenki is a dark angel, which is tied to the tiara she wears about her head. With Wyren, the angel, as well as years of experience on her side, she isn’t exactly defenseless.

Nameh is the third leader of Kurtyr, having been picked by the former leader. While her age does not quite show in a physical sense, she has a bit of a record of going through a few head advisors from simply outliving them.

Her current beliefs are that the two main nations should remain separate entities. She believes that they are fine as they are and refuses to really consider the thought of combining the two.

Demisa Holen Demisa is a wolf anthromorph, standing at 5’7”. On a normal basis, she is seen around Nameh, but is rarely heard speaking unless she’s giving advice. For whatever reason, she has a tendency to have a perpetual snarl about her expression, making others usually feel a bit intimidated by her presence. She has an amulet that hangs around her neck, which is said to contain her Kulgenki. No one quite knows what her Kulgenki is exactly however.

Demisa has been in her position for about 10 years now, after the previous advisor retired from the title. She is a bit younger than most of the council members, so while she does not show it, she is rather determined to make it so her age will not be a factor in her abilities as head advisor.

Government: The government system in Kurtyr is basically an oligarchy. Its leaders have always been handpicked by the former leader with some assistance from his or her head advisor. To help with decisions, Nameh has a council of 9 other people, all who were handpicked by herself. Members of the council are there to represent various voices of the nation, so that she has an idea of what her people want as well.

Akarmen (Ah-car-men)

The sun city. This is located in the north west region of Muranthia, and is also the capital of the western parts of the continent. Minister Jaoren Quan leads the Akarmenians, with his high advisor Anteng Curvast.

Akarmenians (Ah-car-men-ians) In contrast to the Kutyrins, they put familial values a little higher than that of the individual. They enjoy the arts and tend to focus on that more so than the sciences. Even so, they still work on better technologies, but they do like to have their gagets to look nice. The popular music in the west involves more upbeat and energetic tunes. It can also be said that the Akarmenians are a little more in tune with nature, but this isn’t really something drastically different from the Kutyrins.

User ImageJaoren Quan Jaoren is a high elf, standing at 6’2” tall. Slender and fair, he is also rather wise and cares for all Akarmenians. He can be a bit stuck up at times, and have somewhat of an ego, but he does his best to do what he feels right for his people with the help of his advisor. Some of the Akarmenians believe he’s too high and mighty for his own good. His Kulgenki is a demon by the name of Kentri, bound to a bracer located on his left arm. Also, Jaoren has a son named Syrco.

While he has only ruled over Akarmen for about 100 years, and he hopes to be able to keep at it for many years more. He is the 5th Minister of Akarmen.

Unlike Nameh, Jaoren believes that it would be best if Akarmen and Kurtyr were one nation once again. He believes that they would prosper best as one united country.

Anteng Curvast Anteng is a vampiric human, making it a bit ironic that he is the head advisor of the “sun city”. He stands at 5’8” and is rather pale like most other vampires. At night, he can be seen around Jaoren, but over all, he rarely makes an appearance to the public or to those other than Jaoren. A part of this is because of the stigma vampires tend to have. The rest is that he is rather mysterious in nature. Some people believe that he doesn’t even exist because of this. While it has never been seen, it is said that his Kulgenki is a dark raven named Tria, located on the ring on his right index finger.

Not only is Anteng the advisor to Jaoren, but he was the one for the previous Minister as well. No one is certain as to how old he is, but he has been around for awhile for sure. When the former Minister fell to illness, the council originally had picked Anteng. However, the vampire kindly declined and insisted that they choose another. He felt that the general public would not take too kindly to a vampiric leader, and even so, his weakness to the sunlight would hamper his duties, he felt.

Government: As with Kurtyr, the government here is an oligarchy. However, they pick their next leader in a slightly different manner. Originally, it went by the heir of the previous minister, but that didn't go so well. So then, the council, filled with 7 people took the decision into their hands and started to appoint the next leader from there.

Nakadrak (Nah-kah-drack)

City of stars. The Nakadrak people, unlike with the other two main groups, do not have an established territory aside from this one city towards the center of Muranthia. The city is well guarded, seeing how as the Nakadrak are looked poorly upon by both the Akarmenians and the Kutyrins. Also, the exact location of this city is unclear to those who are not a part of Nakadrak. It is just known that it is located somewhere in or around the Arock mountains.Their leader is Savon Pierce, who takes his advice from any of his people.

Nakadrak has a few spies in the other nations, but breaching into this nation specifically is much harder than one might expect. The amount of Nakadrak people is fewer than either of the other two nations, and this is mostly because they are very wary and careful of who they let into the city walls. However, while they are better in terms of espionage and the like, they are weaker in terms of military power, seeing how the city has less resources and people over all.

Nakadrak peopleThe other main groups see the Nakadrak as unsophisticated rebels and outcasts in a sense. Most of the Nakadrak were once Kutyrins or Akarmenians, but have broken away from their homelands. Consequently, they are the group that have the fewest numbers. And due to the fact that they only have one city, they tend to live amongst others carefully. Along with that, they don’t have any particular focus as a group, seeing how they’re a mix of the others.

User ImageSavon Pierce He’s a centaur, and a proud one at that. Many of the Nakadrak look up to him, and they mostly will follow any orders that he will give. Savon is fair though, and wouldn’t put any of his people into needless peril if he could help it. However, he still tries to do what he could to stop the conflict between Kutyr and Akarmen. And even so, there are a number of secrets he holds that he seems quite reluctant to let anyone know. Linked to his bow, is a wind eagle named Thriz, his Kulgenki.

Savon has been leading the Nakadrak for about 25 years now, not nearly as long as the other leaders in Muranthia.

His thoughts on the other two leader's beliefs aren't too clear. Over all, not a whole lot is clear on what he knows or hides from the rest. Or even what his exact motives are.

Government: Unlike the other two nations, Nakadrak is a democracy more or less. While many do not have anything personal against the two leaders of Kurtyr and Akarmen, they do not like how they have absolutely no say in who represents and leads them. So as a result, they collectively choose who the leader will be.
