to be a good musician, you need all of the following:
A. all the tech requirements--you can play your instrument well, above average
B. you experiment with songs--you don't just play the basics...try messing up a few here and there, and of course, WRITE YOUR OWN!!!
C. listen to music--its a given, it takes one to know one
D. feel the music--most important. you don't just play, you live music...which means being critical(yourself included), and *shock to some* emotional!
thats what i think. ^^^
