This is just a general over view about Safe sex. If after reading, you still have a question, please feel free to ask. I am here to help.
If you feel that you are ready for sex and you can be mature, open, and honest about it. Then by all means, Be safe and keep your emotions in check. Don't get caught up in the moment and regret something later.
btw...
Safe Sex is Always the Best!!!
I cannot tell you how important it is that I stress that fact.
If you are mature enough to have sex you are mature enough to buy condoms, visit the OBGYN, and get put on birth control. Make no mistake about it.
AND Keep in mind that...
- a condoms success rate is only about 98% effective when used 100% correctly.
- birth control by itself is only about 95% effective when used 100% correctly (and only about 20% effective when taken but not taken as directed, and absolutely USELESS if you are taking an antibiotic (have taken) for about a month after wards)
- You CAN get pregnant from precome (sp?... but you know what I mean) So absolutely NO INTERCOURSE WITH OUT A CONDOM!!!!
- Also... Just because you have never had sex does not mean that you cannot have a sexually transmitted disease. Things like touching, kissing, licking, and rubbing... All can cause you to spread different diseases. (kissing on the mouth... not bad as long as there are no cold sores) Anything that involves your "private" areas is a potentially disease causing situation. So ALWAYS use safe sex methods.
