Magician's Study
The Magician's Study is a windowless room in the heart of Fa'e HQ. Anyone sensitive to magic will detect incredibly powerful wards surrounding it - the power released within will stay within, though everything in the room be destroyed in the rebound. Note that the wards will not protect those within the room from the consequences of their own folly - they're designed to contain any backlash so that the rest of the HQ will be safe.
This room is also barred to those the room deems 'underage'. This is so babies and toddlers cannot wander in and wreak magical havoc or injure themselves. Children are only allowed in with supervision; teen Fa'e and up may use the room freely.
Within the study, the floor is paved with clean-cut granite flagstones. Oak workbenches line the far wall, covered with magical paraphernalia such as braziers, small cauldrons, crystal balls, oddly shaped flasks, and the ilk. A large cabinet set into the 'pointy end' of the room contains a variety of herbs and other ingredients for potions and spells.
The center of the room is wide-open, providing ample room for the drawing of diagrams and magic circles on the floor, wild gestures with wands, or whatever else may be needed.
The Magician's Study smells of cool stone, dried herbs and resins, and a vague ozone-charged scent like that after a lightning strike. Magic is afoot here.
